Aye! I live in the Bahamas too, thanks for the information. I never owned a motorcycle before but I’m thinking about getting one and I found a YBR 125 2014 for $1300. Do you think that’s a good buy? Also would you consider this bike to be reliable?
This modle is ybz 125 in pakistan with spokes drum breaks and butterfly carburator. And ybr 125 with allys and disk. With carb. Sound in2019 is similar... Else 2015 to 2018 its soundless
@@Albin_Andersson you can get the 2015 with round headlight's to.. I have one for example. And both the papir work, shop owner and the productions number witch I found under the battery and some help from Yamaha I confirmed that it was a 2015 model. 2015 icon* They are using a new brake (2014) system witch has been problematic for the 2015 model, where the hydraulic liquid seepes out of the suspension coils. Only in 2016 did they change it up, with ABS and other cosmetic To be honest I'm only going to have this bike for another year before changing to the Kawasaki ninja 125, but the YBR is ONE of the best, cheapest and most reliable bikes I've ever had ;) Sry for the late reply.
Learning to drive on this piece of shit, here are my thoughts so far: -The rear brake is useless, the front brake locks up every 30 seconds and tries to kill you. -It doesn't seem to want to go over 95 km/h. -the speed gauge has a mind of it's own. -The fuel gauge randomly drops to empty, then back up to the correct level, giving me mini hearth attacks every time. Yamaha for the love of god please keep this fucking thing in south America/the middle east/Africa where it belongs. Cheers from Italy.
You obviously don't know basic maintenance. Ybr's are little tanks they last forever if maintained properly. This is is why you can't have nice things.
@@OldSnufkin 1. The bike was not mine so I couldn’t care less about it’s maintenance 2. 75% of the problems were due to design faults (aka the fact that it was marketed to developing countries) 3. It was impossible to lead in corners with it 4. I Couldn’t even keep up with traffic Selling a bike like this in 2014 in (mine was a ‘14) Europe is ridiculous, worst bike I have ever ridden
Well, I have driven the 2016 variant. You're mostly right. These exact problems are there, but are a little bit exaggerated and the driver can get used to these lol. The top speed was not 95 though, around 115 km/h for me.
Km/h is the way to go!!
