I don't think a single person correctly predicted Obsidian's design with their own art lmao. Every drawing I've seen of her before she was revealed had her as Rainbow colored like Rainbow Obsidian.
@@tsuchan5828 If you look at the temple Obsidian, you can see their design is different than in the show. Remember that Steven and Rose, although having the same gem, are still different people. Since Rose is quite a colourful gem, and her fusion with Pearl is also very colourful, this could very well be what the original looked like.
I like to think that Obsidian would make an appearance almost towards the end of Steven Universe. Maybe it would be the only way to battle a Diamond, like White Diamond, (since I think White Diamond is the most powerful Diamond.) Since Steven has learned to fuse already, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and Steven, (cause he does have the Rose Quartz gem) could all fuse to form a slightly different form of Obsidian. That's just what I think.

The fusion from the play CANNOT be Opal. Opal is not nearly big enough to grab an entire ship with a single hand. That's a part of the story that cannot be debated. The reason why the fusion in the play didn't have 8 arms is probably either because they didn't have enough time/materials, because Pearl didn't specify how many arms the fusion had(she probably just said it had many arms), or a combination of both. Also, all fusions with Pearl are called Giant Woman. Opal, Sardonyx and even Alexandrite were.
Dude. You can't seriously tell me that you fully believe that Opal, a gem who's only a bit taller than Garnet even when attempting to destroy a full blown gem spaceship, would be able to turn so big that she could fit a boat on a single hand. Another thing that I wanted to mention on my first comment but forgot was that Slice mentioned that the hand's coloration was identical to Opal's skin, which is just a blatant lie, the hand is a dark gray while Opal is periwinkle. Also the fusion doesn't have Pearl's nose, and Pearl definitely didn't have a small nose back then so there would be no reason for it to change.

Actually, Bismuth mentions "We could always use more Amethyst." implying that there were other Amethysts in the rebellion, so Obsidian could've been formed with one of them.
I think that obsidian never came into existence as a fighter, but more, they made the temple in her image as a representation of their team's relationship. When they built the temple, they probably just fused to see what she looked like. It would make sense that they presented their base as a representation of their team's relationship, because they view fusion as the embodiment of any type of relationship. My question is, who helped them build it? Humans didn't settle near beach city (that we know of) until captain Dewey came, and gems were long gone by the time they found amethyst. Unless they used gem tech to carve the temple out of the mountain, I can't think of any way the could have done it. Maybe Obsidian has some form of earth bending?? Idk.
Bismuth would have still been around when they made the temple so it was like her that built it since she said that Bismuths were the builders of the diamonds
That's what I think too, there's a big emotional tie to accepting fusion in the crystal gems since it was what made them different from the rest of the gem culture

Well, if the problem is a giant meteor, we do have what looks like a big crater forming the "Siberian Sea", and it's still "fresh" enough that it could be less than 5k years old. An impact that big would be an extinction level event, however, unless something pretty powerful contained it. Obsidian?
I personally LOVE the canon obsidian in battle of heart in mind, not only was it absolutely stunning and unique, but the fact she doesnt talk or have a humane personality shows hows shes raw strength and ruthless

Just look at her she has gems on her forehead (Pearl), her chest (Amythist), her stomach (the warp pad in the house symbolizes Rose/Pink) and her hands (we can only see Sapphire's probably because Ruby's already broke off)
Bismuth was left out of this video. She was the blacksmith of the crystal gems and her work shop was located in a volcano so maybe she was the missing piece of obsidian.
Doodleboy I believe he could easily form obsidian if he were to fuse with Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. He is Rose/Pink. Just in a different form. I am curious though how things will turn out because, as stated in previous episodes he IS Rose/Pink, but he is human as well.. I mean, could there be a way to extract Rose/Pink from Steven and have her form again? While Steven stays intact as well? It's possible, but we don't know exactly how far home world has progressed over the thousands of years... I'm sorry. I'm rambling, lol.
I think obsidian is Rose, Pearl and Garnet (Sapphire and Ruby) which makes 8 arms. And we know that Rose is actually PD now so Obsidian is already very powerful even without Amethyst at this point. Maybe Obsidian was formed during the war to help fight, then they built the temple, it was in ruins during Amethyst's recruition and what not
The number of gems involved in the fusion doesn't change the number of limbs. I mean, Ruby and Sapphire has 2 arm each, yet Garnet doesn't have 4. And Malachite has 6 or 8 arms (I forgot) yet Lapis and Jasper only have 2 each.
The mask is something that Alexandrite has, which came from Amethyst, so Amethyst must certainly be in the fusion. Plus, 5 gems doesnt necessarily mean 10 arms. Look at Garnet, she's a fusion with only 2 arms. Now look at Sardonyx, she only has 4 instead of 6.
even if garnet separated makes 4 arms garnet still only has 2. and if what u are say is true, fusions like sardonyx and sugilite would have 6 arms instead of 4 and alexandrite would have 8 arms. so that is why garnets fusions don't get 4 from her

Nah because a) it wouldn’t be a gem, it’d be a ship, so it wouldn’t be Obsidian, and b) it wouldn’t have multiple arms like Obsidian does. Plus the face and hair of White Diamond’s ship don’t look like Obsidian.

ACTUALLY! In the episode where Bismuth first appeared, she mentioned looking for (supposedly) other and different crystal gems. One of the names she mentioned was "Snowflake." AND there is actually a "snowflake obsidian"......
I doubt that they would have time to build the temple in the middle of the war, and why would they make a temple that consists of a fusion that contains a corrupted gem from before it got corrupted? We've seen that that's the reason why most of the Crystal Gems are gone, upon Bismuth's second appearance in season 5.

Maybe Obsidian was made to deal with the initial hordes of corrupted gems, after the Diamond attack? Not necessarily one huge one. I can see the crystal gems having to fuse into one giant one so they could have more stamina to deal with a seemingly endless horde.
personally i think Obsidian could have been in the war. yes the runt amethyst we all know and love was not present but keep in mind many gems fought in the rebellion. third is a very strong chance that another amethyst fought along side the crystal gems during this time. (this isn’t including all the information we have received in 2018, i’m only going off of the information we had available as of the creation of this video)
I think obsidian is sort of like a huge gem herself that needs to be awaken, not a fusion (kind of like the power rangers megasword) If you will look into the inside details of steven and the gems house, it has room with a HEART in it, with all the veins running inside connecting each rooms. I think all the corrupted gems came from obsidian and for herself to awaken, her pieces must be found. This is just an observation in my part. But i know that they destroy corrupted gems as well. It's confusing but fun to think about.
Cris I think the same thing obsidiam itself is not a true gem, meaning it is'nt technically a mineral as it's principal component is silica (aka sand component)... so it would make sense that she maybe even existed on earth before pink diamond came along... (myths gods and goddeses, in this case of the sea that came to lore *-*)
Fusion in this show isn’t just a method to destroy things, it’s a symbol of the close relationship the gems share. Maybe they just fused to show their love for one another, and created the temple in Obsidian’s image to cement it in time forever.
My theory on why she came together in the first place isn't so much the exact reason, but more the result. There's an huge portion of earths land mass entirely MISSING from the map we see in one of the earlier episodes (you'll have to forgive me for not remembering which). At first I thought it was just inaccurately drawn, but when I looked at it closer it was clearer that it was in fact earth, but a huge part of I think Russia? just wasn't there. My thought was that Obsidian was created to combat whatever happened to cause that missing land. Maybe it was a meteor too like you said! But they couldn't quite save it all aha.
You didn't see a clear thing here, the gem on "Obsidian's" chest is probably not amethyst. It could be bixbite, Crazy lace agate, or Snowflake OBSIDIAN.... Just giving some special emphasis, we never see if they could be apart of it
Broken Galaxy i just searched what bixbite is, and it can actually be purple...I mean I find it really strange that such a big fusion didn't take part in the gem war, some months ago I saw a theory I really liked: in one episode we can see a giant sword made of stone lying on the beach, which was very likely part of the temple's statue, and so was probably obsidian's weapon. The only gem we know who claimed to have seen rose shattering pink is eyeball, but when Steven and her were stuck in space she said she didn't remember what rose quartz looked like, all she remembered was her giant sword. Now, we know rose's sword can't shatter gems, but both eyeball and Blue diamond stated that pink was shattered with one. What if blue zircon really got just carried away, and pink was actually shattered by obsidian? I mean both garnet and pearl, who were part of the fusion, seem to freak out every time someone talks about PD. Moreover, if a diamond was shattered by a fusion, that might explain why homeworld is against gems fusing together... Then, of course, if it is true that only a diamond can shatter a diamond, this entire theory can be proven wrong.
I think the Obsidian temple is a gem weapon, all the homeworld gems refer to it as a base, and all gem places seem to be sentient too, so I think it's a weapon and the gems have to manifest themselves with the metaphysical properties of the temple to get it going, only think faulty with my theory is that it leaves out amethyst but in sdcc there were 2 unknown gems with the crystal gems , it could be one of them? But it's just a theory
I like your theory. Going off of that, maybe the temple depicts what all the gems currently residing in the temple would look like when fused, also representing their relationship with one another. The broken pieces could actually represent those they've lost in battle. In the Bismuth episode, she asks about so many other gems, meaning the Crystal Gems used to be a lot bigger, so the broken temple could be in memory of them
Cat G no, it is was formed at the time of all of the current crystal gems (ruby, sapphire, pearl, amethyst, and rose quartz). They would make the temple based on how obsidion looked, they would not form them on how they thought they would look with crazy lace, biggs, or snowflake.
I think by that time Bismuth was already poofed since this was long after the gem war, Bismuth, if i remember was poofed right before the war started....So theres no way that Bismuth was a part of Obsidian.

You're overlooking the fact that Rose had an entire army of gems that fused together, it could have easily just been a different amethyst instead of the one we know since they were known to have come from from earth thanks to the human zoo episode
MORNING STAR obsidion is lava glass in other words, formed when lava heats up sand. There is no correlation between bismuth and obsidion, besides from them both not being full gems. Bismuth is a element, in the non-metal catagory, and obsidion is just glass.
Obsidian must have Amethyst in it as a part of the fusion. Cause her gem can be seen on her chest (and we can see Sapppire's gem on his hand, and pearl's on her forhead i think Ruby's gem were on her other hand (but it broke down) and at last maybe Rose's gem is the portal i think).
I honestly don’t think that fusion was opal. I think that it WAS in fact obsidian. The reason it only had four arms could’ve just been a mistake in the backstage and opal wouldn’t be able to physically grab and put the boat back at the shore. She’s not big enough
What about Alexandrite? She's possibly big enough. The form could've been different from what we know of Alexandrite because she was an early version, the unrefined version. Garnet herself wasn't rocking the hard edge look herself at first because she needed time to refine and shape her new form, Alexandrite could be the same with less arms and a different hairstyle. Plus in the play, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were there to greet the captain, they form Alexandrite, put two and two together.
Yeah opal isnt really that big, probably just a few feet taller than rose quartz. They depicted someone more the size of blue and yellow diamond putting the boat back, which definitely leads me to believe it was not opal. And as for the color matching opal, it seemed pretty apparent to me that it was just bc they were keeping her "in the shadows" so to speak. It would be a lot easier to design a prop like that as a silhouette than fully painted, especially unless pearl was helping to paint it, since Steven wouldnt have had any better idea of what that giant woman looked like than jamie would
I personally feel like she might have also been first formed due to, like you said, a crazy strong corrupted Gem (maybe a corrupted fusion) or a natural disaster, but I also feel like she simply could have been summoned during a building check, similar to Sardonyx, albeit one that would've required cosmic strength and high stakes. What exactly that would've been, I'm not sure. It might also be possible that she _was_ formed during the war, but with a different Amethyst Crystal Gem in lieu of our own, who was then shattered/corrupted later in the war.
my theory is that they they saved some humans earlier on like they did dewey and his crew, and the humans became devoted to obsidian. like religiously. it explains why theyd carve her likeness into the gems' temple + we know its something obsidian has been used for which is: save humans and climb stuff
could rainbow quartz (pearl + rose quartz) be considered as the giant woman from the sea? to me, her image best suits the silhouette in the play. and i think it’s more likely that pearl and rose would fuse together at this point in time, as they would be in the closest relationship. i dunno, just wondering why no one’s considered her. 🤷🏻♀️
I want the flashback sections (which I hope we get in the next season) show the origin of the temple and fusion it depicts. If they don't it would be a criminal misuse of such a large part of the show.
Anybody notice how one of Bismuth's friends is called Snowflake and the only gem to have that word in it's name is Snowflake Obsidian? Guys, we know that huge polyamorous fusions such as Fluorite exist, so what is this Snowflake is a five gem polyfusion? Food for thought.

Amy Lyne it’s unlikely that another amethyst would be important enough in the war for her to be included the fusion the temple is based on. If there was she would be mentioned.
I have a theory that sense obsidian is quite similar to the mountain behind Steven’s house I was thinking that possibly it could be when the crystal gems fused? Like some of the old crystal gems about 8 of them fused? And made a giant fusion? Then possibly there power got out of control the only result was turning into stone. Or something such as that.
Hey I think I know what caused the Obsidian fusion, in the latest episode you see the arms belonging to Yellow and Blue Diamonds, and in the new clips you see the leg ships belonging to Pink Diamond, and the torso and head ship belonging to White Diamond. I would assume these all fit together to be a giant mech seeing as the diamonds don't allow fusion of other gems so this is their way. I am guessing the diamonds used their mech to fight Obsidian.
If Steven joined together it makes obsidian ever notice how the fusion garnet Pearl and amethyst make has a mask at Steven boom obsidian well it's kinda a mask more like a face
Maybe they fused to see who they'd become in the concept art book it did talk about how garnet pearl and rose all fused shortly after the answer to experience something new but it broke apart quickly because pearl was too nervous and awkward
So I was playing around with Fusions, on a Gemsona maker. Sapphire x Ruby = Garnet. Amethyst x Garnet = Sugilite. Pearl x Rose Quartz = Rainbow Quartz. Sugilite x Rainbow Quartz = Diamond.
I really don't think Obsidian is the giant woman... (Or opal) I don't think amythyst was made yet. To get the hair correct its most likely a fusion of Bismuth and Rose Quartz. Also the skin color would be correct. My theory is that the first diamonds (White and Yellow) rule there courts happily, until White had further progress than her sister Yellow. Yellow (being the super mega grouchy gem she is, in vain) shattered her own sister! One of the gems from Whites court ( Rose Quartz), healed White diamond. Rose healed White AFTER Blue was made. If you have watched the last Steven bomb you will know that when a Rose Quartz heals a gem, the gem turns pink. Thus, creating a pink diamond. Yellow gets scared knowing she will get shattered for shattering another diamond after Pink tells her court what happened. So Yellow shatters her again knowing that she can't be revived again. Meanwhile she blames it on someone who held a grudge against Pink..... Rose Quartz! I'm guessing that the end of SU will be a final boss battle against Yellow. Showing that Yellow is guilty the crystal gems win and they shatter or bubble Yellow. That is the end of my theory tell me what you think of it in a reply I will read it and like as well please. Bye😁
I don't think the "end boss" will be Yellow Diamond. I say because that would be way too up front and too easy to figure out. However, I think she is involved somehow just not as the direct enemy though. Additionally, in her song, "What's the use of feeling, Blue?" she looked very sorrowful to me, so in my opinion, I don't think she would have those feelings if she actually shattered Pink Diamond

I don't think a single person correctly predicted Obsidian's design with their own art lmao. Every drawing I've seen of her before she was revealed had her as Rainbow colored like Rainbow Obsidian.
@@tsuchan5828 If you look at the temple Obsidian, you can see their design is different than in the show. Remember that Steven and Rose, although having the same gem, are still different people. Since Rose is quite a colourful gem, and her fusion with Pearl is also very colourful, this could very well be what the original looked like.

I REALLY want an episode of when they first met amethyst like how they found her.
I like to think that Obsidian would make an appearance almost towards the end of Steven Universe. Maybe it would be the only way to battle a Diamond, like White Diamond, (since I think White Diamond is the most powerful Diamond.) Since Steven has learned to fuse already, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and Steven, (cause he does have the Rose Quartz gem) could all fuse to form a slightly different form of Obsidian.
That's just what I think.

The fusion from the play CANNOT be Opal. Opal is not nearly big enough to grab an entire ship with a single hand. That's a part of the story that cannot be debated.
The reason why the fusion in the play didn't have 8 arms is probably either because they didn't have enough time/materials, because Pearl didn't specify how many arms the fusion had(she probably just said it had many arms), or a combination of both.
Also, all fusions with Pearl are called Giant Woman. Opal, Sardonyx and even Alexandrite were.

Dude. You can't seriously tell me that you fully believe that Opal, a gem who's only a bit taller than Garnet even when attempting to destroy a full blown gem spaceship, would be able to turn so big that she could fit a boat on a single hand.
Another thing that I wanted to mention on my first comment but forgot was that Slice mentioned that the hand's coloration was identical to Opal's skin, which is just a blatant lie, the hand is a dark gray while Opal is periwinkle. Also the fusion doesn't have Pearl's nose, and Pearl definitely didn't have a small nose back then so there would be no reason for it to change.

I think that obsidian never came into existence as a fighter, but more, they made the temple in her image as a representation of their team's relationship. When they built the temple, they probably just fused to see what she looked like. It would make sense that they presented their base as a representation of their team's relationship, because they view fusion as the embodiment of any type of relationship. My question is, who helped them build it? Humans didn't settle near beach city (that we know of) until captain Dewey came, and gems were long gone by the time they found amethyst. Unless they used gem tech to carve the temple out of the mountain, I can't think of any way the could have done it. Maybe Obsidian has some form of earth bending?? Idk.

I think obsidian is Rose, Pearl and Garnet (Sapphire and Ruby) which makes 8 arms. And we know that Rose is actually PD now so Obsidian is already very powerful even without Amethyst at this point. Maybe Obsidian was formed during the war to help fight, then they built the temple, it was in ruins during Amethyst's recruition and what not

The number of gems involved in the fusion doesn't change the number of limbs. I mean, Ruby and Sapphire has 2 arm each, yet Garnet doesn't have 4. And Malachite has 6 or 8 arms (I forgot) yet Lapis and Jasper only have 2 each.
The mask is something that Alexandrite has, which came from Amethyst, so Amethyst must certainly be in the fusion. Plus, 5 gems doesnt necessarily mean 10 arms. Look at Garnet, she's a fusion with only 2 arms. Now look at Sardonyx, she only has 4 instead of 6.
even if garnet separated makes 4 arms garnet still only has 2. and if what u are say is true, fusions like sardonyx and sugilite would have 6 arms instead of 4 and alexandrite would have 8 arms. so that is why garnets fusions don't get 4 from her

I doubt that they would have time to build the temple in the middle of the war, and why would they make a temple that consists of a fusion that contains a corrupted gem from before it got corrupted? We've seen that that's the reason why most of the Crystal Gems are gone, upon Bismuth's second appearance in season 5.

I think obsidian is sort of like a huge gem herself that needs to be awaken, not a fusion (kind of like the power rangers megasword)
If you will look into the inside details of steven and the gems house, it has room with a HEART in it, with all
the veins running inside connecting each rooms. I think all the corrupted gems came from obsidian and for herself to awaken, her pieces must be found.
This is just an observation in my part. But i know that they destroy corrupted gems as well. It's confusing but fun to think about.

Cris I think the same thing obsidiam itself is not a true gem, meaning it is'nt technically a mineral as it's principal component is silica (aka sand component)... so it would make sense that she maybe even existed on earth before pink diamond came along... My theory on why she came together in the first place isn't so much the exact reason, but more the result. There's an huge portion of earths land mass entirely MISSING from the map we see in one of the earlier episodes (you'll have to forgive me for not remembering which). At first I thought it was just inaccurately drawn, but when I looked at it closer it was clearer that it was in fact earth, but a huge part of I think Russia? just wasn't there. My thought was that Obsidian was created to combat whatever happened to cause that missing land. Maybe it was a meteor too like you said! But they couldn't quite save it all aha.

Broken Galaxy i just searched what bixbite is, and it can actually be purple...I mean I find it really strange that such a big fusion didn't take part in the gem war, some months ago I saw a theory I really liked: in one episode we can see a giant sword made of stone lying on the beach, which was very likely part of the temple's statue, and so was probably obsidian's weapon.
The only gem we know who claimed to have seen rose shattering pink is eyeball, but when Steven and her were stuck in space she said she didn't remember what rose quartz looked like, all she remembered was her giant sword.
Now, we know rose's sword can't shatter gems, but both eyeball and Blue diamond stated that pink was shattered with one.
What if blue zircon really got just carried away, and pink was actually shattered by obsidian? I mean both garnet and pearl, who were part of the fusion, seem to freak out every time someone talks about PD.
Moreover, if a diamond was shattered by a fusion, that might explain why homeworld is against gems fusing together...
Then, of course, if it is true that only a diamond can shatter a diamond, this entire theory can be proven wrong.

I think the Obsidian temple is a gem weapon, all the homeworld gems refer to it as a base, and all gem places seem to be sentient too, so I think it's a weapon and the gems have to manifest themselves with the metaphysical properties of the temple to get it going, only think faulty with my theory is that it leaves out amethyst but in sdcc there were 2 unknown gems with the crystal gems , it could be one of them? But it's just a theory
I like your theory. Going off of that, maybe the temple depicts what all the gems currently residing in the temple would look like when fused, also representing their relationship with one another. The broken pieces could actually represent those they've lost in battle. In the Bismuth episode, she asks about so many other gems, meaning the Crystal Gems used to be a lot bigger, so the broken temple could be in memory of them
Cat G no, it is was formed at the time of all of the current crystal gems (ruby, sapphire, pearl, amethyst, and rose quartz). They would make the temple based on how obsidion looked, they would not form them on how they thought they would look with crazy lace, biggs, or snowflake.

I think by that time Bismuth was already poofed since this was long after the gem war, Bismuth, if i remember was poofed right before the war started....So theres no way that Bismuth was a part of Obsidian.
Probably the other two lost gems are included as well from an episode from season 5.

You're overlooking the fact that Rose had an entire army of gems that fused together, it could have easily just been a different amethyst instead of the one we know since they were known to have come from from earth thanks to the human zoo episode

MORNING STAR obsidion is lava glass in other words, formed when lava heats up sand. There is no correlation between bismuth and obsidion, besides from them both not being full gems. Bismuth is a element, in the non-metal catagory, and obsidion is just glass.
Obsidian must have Amethyst in it as a part of the fusion. Cause her gem can be seen on her chest (and we can see Sapppire's gem on his hand, and pearl's on her forhead i think Ruby's gem were on her other hand (but it broke down) and at last maybe Rose's gem is the portal i think).

I honestly don’t think that fusion was opal. I think that it WAS in fact obsidian. The reason it only had four arms could’ve just been a mistake in the backstage and opal wouldn’t be able to physically grab and put the boat back at the shore. She’s not big enough

What about Alexandrite? She's possibly big enough. The form could've been different from what we know of Alexandrite because she was an early version, the unrefined version. Garnet herself wasn't rocking the hard edge look herself at first because she needed time to refine and shape her new form, Alexandrite could be the same with less arms and a different hairstyle. Plus in the play, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were there to greet the captain, they form Alexandrite, put two and two together.
Yeah opal isnt really that big, probably just a few feet taller than rose quartz. They depicted someone more the size of blue and yellow diamond putting the boat back, which definitely leads me to believe it was not opal. And as for the color matching opal, it seemed pretty apparent to me that it was just bc they were keeping her "in the shadows" so to speak. It would be a lot easier to design a prop like that as a silhouette than fully painted, especially unless pearl was helping to paint it, since Steven wouldnt have had any better idea of what that giant woman looked like than jamie would

I personally feel like she might have also been first formed due to, like you said, a crazy strong corrupted Gem (maybe a corrupted fusion) or a natural disaster, but I also feel like she simply could have been summoned during a building check, similar to Sardonyx, albeit one that would've required cosmic strength and high stakes. What exactly that would've been, I'm not sure. It might also be possible that she _was_ formed during the war, but with a different Amethyst Crystal Gem in lieu of our own, who was then shattered/corrupted later in the war.
Maybe Obisidian is a fusion of the cyrstal gems plus bismuth, or was bismuth poffed and bubbled?

Hey I think I know what caused the Obsidian fusion, in the latest episode you see the arms belonging to Yellow and Blue Diamonds, and in the new clips you see the leg ships belonging to Pink Diamond, and the torso and head ship belonging to White Diamond. I would assume these all fit together to be a giant mech seeing as the diamonds don't allow fusion of other gems so this is their way. I am guessing the diamonds used their mech to fight Obsidian.
If Steven joined together it makes obsidian ever notice how the fusion garnet Pearl and amethyst make has a mask at Steven boom obsidian well it's kinda a mask more like a face

I came back here after all the debut of Obsidian.
Maybe they fused to see who they'd become in the concept art book it did talk about how garnet pearl and rose all fused shortly after the answer to experience something new but it broke apart quickly because pearl was too nervous and awkward

So I was playing around with Fusions, on a Gemsona maker. Sapphire x Ruby = Garnet. Amethyst x Garnet = Sugilite. Pearl x Rose Quartz = Rainbow Quartz. Sugilite x Rainbow Quartz = Diamond.

I really don't think Obsidian is the giant woman... (Or opal) I don't think amythyst was made yet. To get the hair correct its most likely a fusion of Bismuth and Rose Quartz. Also the skin color would be correct. My theory is that the first diamonds (White and Yellow) rule there courts happily, until White had further progress than her sister Yellow. Yellow (being the super mega grouchy gem she is, in vain) shattered her own sister! One of the gems from Whites court ( Rose Quartz), healed White diamond. Rose healed White AFTER Blue was made. If you have watched the last Steven bomb you will know that when a Rose Quartz heals a gem, the gem turns pink. Thus, creating a pink diamond. Yellow gets scared knowing she will get shattered for shattering another diamond after Pink tells her court what happened. So Yellow shatters her again knowing that she can't be revived again. Meanwhile she blames it on someone who held a grudge against Pink..... Rose Quartz! I'm guessing that the end of SU will be a final boss battle against Yellow. Showing that Yellow is guilty the crystal gems win and they shatter or bubble Yellow. That is the end of my theory tell me what you think of it in a reply I will read it and like as well please. Bye😁
I don't think the "end boss" will be Yellow Diamond. I say because that would be way too up front and too easy to figure out. However, I think she is involved somehow just not as the direct enemy though. Additionally, in her song, "What's the use of feeling, Blue?" she looked very sorrowful to me, so in my opinion, I don't think she would have those feelings if she actually shattered Pink Diamond
