I was at this gig and for some reason, Haze got pissed off about something shortly after this song, slammed his guitar on the floor and stormed off stage. Does anyone who was at Will's Pub that night know why? The show was sure going good up to that point.
I don’t know details but hello from a central Florida friend ! I read that he was upset with the equipment and after he left they asked him to come back but he said no. Pretty cool because this was at the old wills pub ! A little before my time on the scene but I sure would love to have been there .
I was at this show. Shortly after this, he threw his guitar down on the ground and stormed off the stage, never to return. The crowd was dumbfounded. Does anyone know why he did this?
He did it because he's Hasil Adkins. Dude plays drums with his guitar. It's what he does, and it's an art he has pioneered. He does unquestionably questionable shit like that, and we love him for it. He's like Goro Majima from Yakuza, insanity is his element, and he became a legend for naturally breaking the norm in organically entertaining ways. He embraces the humanity within himself, and this is the result. Not something you see every day. ...and that's because society at large is so hoity-toity, holier-than-thou, that people aren't people anymore. Hasil's outro was Hasil's outro for no other reason than Hasil Adkins is Hasil Adkins. It's what he does. That's why his crowd loves him so much. Hasil is the human incarnation of "fuck it", for better, but not for worse. The more people question Hasil Adkins, the happier Hasil Adkins is knowing he left his footprints in the sand that is your life. Sure, there are bigger footprints, but his footprints are among the most distinct.
