See that big spot of orange on Palavan? That's where Garrus lived. Shows you how much the Reapers feared Garrus. They hit that part of the planet the hardest trying to kill the one Turian capable of calibrating guns capable of destroying Reapers.

+William Bailey No offense mate but millions of turians or humans with weapons do nothing against reapers. How can you destroy a 2km long starship with small arm?? I love the game but the fall of Earth and Palaven are unrealistic to me. During the time that Shepard wanders around in the galaxy the reapers had enough time to completely vaporize the planets and kill everything to 100%, even plants and bacteria. They destroyed missile silos and Earths fleet. In the game codex the main gun of a reaper has 3 times the force than a atomic bomb. So how come Earth wasn,t turned to a fiery ball after the first 3 days of the conflict?
Well, the main gun seems to be very focused, unlike an atomic bomb (which explodes) which would make it much slower considering the size of what they had to destroy.
THe human military doctrin of attacking enemy supply lines, while brilliant agains a conventional foe (like the Turians in the First-Contact-War) is usless against the Reapers. The Turian military on the other hand is primed to stand and fight, which is comparatively a better thing to do against them, even if in the long run it wont help
We should have had more missions like Manae. I felt like there was a whole lot of reapers in this game. Some of them were boss battles sure but nothing like a bunch of reapers destroying everything around you as you try to accomplish your mission. I felt like there was too much Cerberus in this game and not enough Reapers.
Don't forget the Geth in Rannoch. I'm Happy with the Cerberus intrusions because they always hit in critical moments and they are always intruding in your plans, but maybe more Reapers would have be welcomed. Like Menae or some open battlefield
I always wanted a hazard version of the multiplayer map "London" where a nearby reaper would shoot at the surrounding areas of the map and stomp closer as the game progressed. To the point where it was almost on top of the map, just blaring its horn away.
I played through the game again recently and finished it a couple of days ago. I agree there were way too many battles with Cerberus and not enough Reapers. Sure people will say that the Cerberus troops were indoctrinated but that doesn't really count. I'm talking about the Reaper forces such as Husks, Cannibals, Marauders etc There weren't many missions involving them. I counted- Earth (Start of game) - Menae- Tuchanka- Cyone (The reactor mission)- Thessia- Horizon- Leviathan DLC- LondonThose are the only ones I can recall. The rest of the game involves Cerberus and a portion of the game involves fighting the Geth.
This piece perfectly sums up the entire reaper war. It sounds completely hopeless, but you continue to fight because if you stop, everyone will die. I particularly liked its reprise at the beginning of the assault on Chronos Station.
You're spent, you can't keep fighting, there's nothing left to fight with, but you keep fighting, you have to keep fighting, because there's still something to fight for and if you don't fight for it day and night the Reapers will destroy it forever.
Don't loose hope and remember what the famous Alliance explorer Jon Grissom said about Palaven: "The only thing on this planet that isn't silver are the turians. It's all too clear they're made of steel." And in one of those ME4 screenshots Bioware released a month ago, there's some soil and rocks matching the description =D
There was so much potential with this mission. I wish there were more missions like how there was on Tuchanka and Rannoch. That would have been awesome. Also I wish there was cutscenes of the Turians and Krogans working together on Palaven fighting the Reapers that would have been cool to see.
I've said this before and I say it again. They should have made Mass Effect 3 into two games, so they could cover more stuff and details. Palaven was glossed over too quickly.
@@MrRiddleAW OH SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT. Two games of that would have been so powerful! Eh, the batarians went down first because they were just in the way. Their section of the galaxy was right in the reapers' path towards Earth and Palaven. Their real plan was to come after humans and turians first, then the krogans, followed by the asari. It of course makes sense. First, the two strongest militaries, then the most physically imposing combatants and then the wisest/most knowledgeable people. Artificial atmosphere.
They've got stations on the moon that make an artificial atmosphere, in case you're still wondering. That's why the Reapers wanted it.
