Thanks for the update! I’m glad you get to enjoy a month of downtime now. 😅 I’m with you in wanting my pillow to be a “brick”! 😆 Regarding Stitching Shelf, I think you made the right call. That design doesn’t seem to fit your stitching style, in that you really do like to see major progress and regular finishes, even with large pieces. That one can’t really be finished in any sort of timely manner without spending most of your time on it. That being said, you could consider picking your favorite vignette and just stitch a couple pages of the design. I would recommend cropping the pattern you have over their QS versions, because those will be larger. OR, you could just get the puzzle and content yourself with that! It’s a lot of fun to put together. 😁🧩
You're amazing! Thank you so much for your encouragement and advice on The Stitching Shelf - I'm still learning about my stitching habits I guess after all these years! Thank you for reflecting back to me. And great advice about cropping vs their QS patterns - those are just as big! I have the tote bag with the design on it, so that's good enough for me. LOL! And yay for another "brick" pillow person!
I love the piece you hate to work on! Sorry. The birth announcement looks great. The Summer piece is so much more pleasing to me than the Spring one for some reason - I am really cheering you on there! Since I just resumed stitching this year I will plan to choose a patriotic piece to work on next year and pick it up on the patriotic holidays next year. I hope you enjoy your month off. 😀😎💐
I agree - the summer piece right now has bolder colors and it's quicker to stitch (right now - I'm sure that will change at some point). The spring piece is very pastel and soft - at least in the block I'm working on.
Oh the sleep thing….counting is really hard when sleep is so elusive so you saved yourself frogging upon returning home. You will get things done, I am quite sure. Take care.🦉🧵🌞
Hi Carolyn! I hope you were able to get some real good sleep! You had a great June.....it's better than zero stitching :). Glitter Village is beautiful! Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
The flower birth sampler is fab! I did it for my grand daughter. I used 32 ct vintage Ctry mocha and it turned out beautifully. I too stressed the name but it worked out. Those bees went in last. Just great. Great video as always. Kate
I am surprised you got any stitching done in June. Yes, yes, yes.... Cat Alphabet!! Those mice are so cute and I hope you can finish the cat during Tour De France.
You had a very busy June both personally and for your job. Give yourself some grace and take the time to recharge those batteries 😃. Wether it is crossstitching, gardening or decorating with your parents. Chill and give yourself 'me' time👍. Bossy breeches here lol. See you Sunday, enjoy the Tour de France🤗🇬🇧
I think they changed the dates on the Tour de France because the Summer Olympics are in Paris this year, with the opening ceremonies on the 26th of July. I always live seeing your WIPs and hearing your plans. You are amazing! I wish I could be as organized as you.
Hope you enjoy the Holidays and hopefully you can rest, relax but enjoy all at the same time. Love all your progress on your projects. Happy Stitching.
Hey Carolyn, so happy to see you today! Happy Belated Canada Day and early 4th! ::big hugs:: Sooo enjoyed watching this video and seeing your new strategies. I think I need to join in on your Winter Stitching in July. I have Kringles that has been my nemesis and getting in 5 hours in him would bring me joy. Hahaha
Hey thanks for the happy Canada day🇨🇦! Haha my high school friend and room mate in university , turned 68 today, ha I wont be 68 till new yrs eve. Remember when we used to wish we were older… sigh. Put the name in now so you know it fits without bees then do what needs to-be done. All looks great! Have a fun month off! TJ designs is coming to our group next week I think.
Ha ha - never let your friend forget you're younger than them! And yes, I often wonder why I wanted to be a grown up so badly - youth is wasted on the young! Enjoy TJ Designs - I do love their patterns!
Hi friend! So sorry you didn't sleep during your trip. I bet the boys are wondering what the heck is going on with you being gone, then having company, and then being gone again. I am binge watching all your videos at the same sitting so my comments may be a bit off time wise. I think you made the right decision with UFOing The Stitching Shelf. In the future, you could always try doing what Vani is doing with hers, which is just stitching one shelf at a time so the piece is not as huge and she can change them out with the seasons if she completes them all. You could start with the shelf you love the most in the future when you retire. The reason that the Tour de France is early this year is because of the Olympics being held in Paris. Hope you are getting lots of stitching done again and getting rested. I hope July is the best month off work ever for you. Love and hugs to you and the boys. Happy stitching. Dawn
Good to see you again. No bicycle stitching for me. But we do have RAGBRAI here in Iowa. Always in July, starting July 20th this year. Happy stitching!

Hello, Great to catch up with you again. Sorry about your sleep getting interrupted I know I didn't sleep too well at retreat and that was only one hour time difference. Happy Stitching Patty🐈
@czookstitch488 I had it kitted since 2021. Finally started it last year on July 4th. But it didn't get too much love last year or the beginning of this year until May ans June.
You have a lot of plans for July honey! On One Nation, you could do some stars then put in a few states to break it up. I've had a difficult time getting my plans put into motion so far. I have started Tour de France stitching on Purple Reign though.
Sorry to hear you have given up on stitching shelves I enjoyed seeing your progress as I am stitching the piece . In the water looks a fun stitch cannot wait to see the end result. Have a great July and happy stitching
Hey Carolyn! Are you talking about the Stitching Shelf pattern from Polstitches or HAED? I got confused somewhere! Either one is a little off work so I get it!
Hi Carolyn ❤ Why don't you section it out? Christmas Dinner. I think it would go faster, what do you think? Rest up 'cause if you don't you'll get sick again. ❤🎉 Take care ❤
A question please Caroline - does the summer 2024 Just Cross Stitch edition have the next chart for Hummingbird Garden by Carolyn Manning? (Third chart in series of four) thanks! 🐨👍
Everything looks beautiful! I’m excited to see Cat Alphabet. It is such a beautiful piece! Happy July 4th! Happy stitching. Hugs.❤

Hi Carolyn. There's no place like home!🌈 Brave of you to put Stitching Shelf away, as you don't have time for it now. ⚘️
No, I feel a lot lighter, actually, after just making the decision, so I know it was the right one!

Looking forward to all your progress. Have a great week with all your time off!
Love your progress on your wips. Enjoy your month off. Happy stitching!
I was wondering when you were going to bring out Cat Alphabet. 😊
Great work on all your pieces. Fun plans for July. I really enjoy the MMC group and the challenges.
Tour De France starts earlier because of the Olympics. Most of the cyclists will be, at least, in the road race.
That makes so much sense!
