    There is nothing quite like the Victorian High Country in the late spring and early summer, I have great memories of the epic two and three day trail rides we did way back in the late 70's. Hope this country stays open for ever.

    Ive seen a few posts in facebook groups explaining king billy, and most say it is a basalt block stream that was laid down during volcanic activity in the Aust alps and dates back to the last ice age somewhere in the Pleistocene (>10,000yrs ago). Ice flow broke up the basalt and as the climate warmed up during the Holocene Age, the sediments/smaller material were washed away to the lower lands

    • @4x4brothers
      @4x4brothers  Год назад

      That seems to be the most popular theory volcanic/earthquake causing it. Bloody impressive how it all comes about

      That on king billy is called the rock rivers , it’s volcanic, first big one you come to there is a big Boulder in the middle and there use to be a tree growing out of a crack in it , have ran a dozer all the way down king billy a few years ago , great country
