Sending you as much man love I can possibly send to another man, Josh I to deal with mental health issues and never been able to be open about it, so it was honestly good to know that people do care about men’s health. Keep strong Josh

Good choice of words at 8.15 with a vehicle so close behind Pat..Nice drive though.

You aren't wrong about automatics overheating on that track, i've seen multiple vehicles of euro and American brands completely die, so hot they blew seals and dumped fluid!. I guess the drives should have taken a rest ! The best option is a manual, no one had a trailer. We only had an an air compressor and a shovel just in case.
We have done this in two stock Pajero's and a stock 3.2 5cyl ranger, one vehicle had highway tyres, which work perfectly well on rocks (when its dry)
You don't need a lift kit or any modification , of the 3 vehicles the Manual Pajero did best.. lightest and no hot transmission ,it didn't even have a rear locker, followed by the ranger due to highway tyres being better(rocks are like a road), followed by the automatic Pajero with a rear differential lock.

I am thinking he travelling to close sometimes. Keep a table drain or 2 between you.

Great point. Occasionally long lenses tend to compress the distance visually. We’re often battling with distances, trying to work on what looks good versus what is safe.

    HI Pat,
    great video.
Curious? When was this filmed. I did this 2 weekends ago and it was a hole lot more rutted and rocky than your footage gives.
We had 6 very well equiped vehicles and all got up just fine but it was very rugged, relentless terrain. not sure how you had the ability to stop and film and make it look so easy. Congrates on that
For any one thinking of going down currently? I would think twice. Even the Dargo recovery Unimog advised against this at this time. they are recovering many cars every weekend from this track.
    Be safe guys.

Thanks for the track update! This was filmed in December last year, so it seems conditions have changed

We went up and down it 3 weeks ago without any issues. One of the vehicles in our convoy was a stock triton with nothing more than AT tyres. Did have to spot some sections. It wasn’t any worse than 12months ago.
