    C-clip eliminators are not designed for street use and will wear at an extremely accelerated rate when used on the street.

    If those bearing buckets that are bolted on there were made out of steel they can be welded to the differential housing instead of relying on those long bolts to hold everything together instead of would be a lot stronger

    I was curious you moved the bracket behind the axle housing flange, that moves your caliper inward so did you make spacers for the caliper bracket so the caliper will line up with the rotor?

      If you were to break an axel it would not exit the car because the eliminators is pressed on to the axel then bolted to the housing.

    I have a 96 8.8 disc rear axle I am modding to fit under my Muscle car but all these C-clip Eliminator Manufaturers say the Mustang and Explorer ends are different , now why in the heck would ford spend tons of money making 2 different axles insted of making all parts interchange from axle to axle? I mean it makes it super dificult for people to buy a product if they purposefully make only 1 type! unless you can give insite to me that the Explorer Axle ends are infact the same as the mustang axle ends.

    • @6FTBLACK1
      @6FTBLACK1  4 года назад

      Are you wanting to put explorer axles in a mustang rear end? If so I think the explorer axles are to long. But you can get the diff out of the junk yard with 3:73 or 4:10s and order the axels.

    Looks like a lot of hassle for nothing. Has anyone known a C clip to come off resulting in a loose axle? What are the chances of that happening? Plus, if there are disc brakes on the rear, the axle isn't going to come off.

    • @southjerseysound7340
      @southjerseysound7340 6 лет назад +3

      I had the stock rear in my S-10 lose a C clip. I did a burnout at the ocean city car show. After the burnout I turned left and about halfway through the turn I felt a clunk as my right axle took off towards some people as my truck hit the pavement grinding to a halt. Luckily I was going relatively slow and the axle didn't hit anything.
      I've also seen a few let loose over the years. I also broke a factory 8.8 explorer axle launching on the streets and the truck is very light. So it does happen and its not fun.
