Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) - the ultimate destination for Hollywood memorabilia auctions - returns to pay homage to the Hollywood cult-classic, “The Big Lebowski,” with super-cool and ultra-rare items from the beloved film in Hollywood Legends: Danger, Disaster & Disco.
In Part II of our “Lebowski” tribute, we’re offering up nearly 20 select items from the film, including a trove of Jeff Bridges "Jeffery 'The Dude' Lebowski," John Goodman “Walter Sobchak,” John Turturro “Jesus Quintana,” Julianne Moore “Maude Lebowski,” Aimee Mann “Nihilist Woman,” Philip Seymour Hoffman “Brandt” screen-matched ensembles, and other on-screen items from the film.
We’re re-partnering with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, and portion of the proceeds from each lot will support its groundbreaking initiative. No Kid Hungry is a national campaign that is working to end childhood hunger in the United States, run by the national nonprofit organization Share Our Strength. Launched in 2010, the No Kid Hungry campaign equips schools and community organizations across the country with the technical assistance, funds and resources they need to connect kids to the food they need to thrive.
Since its world premiere at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival twenty-five years ago, the Coen Brothers’ independent film “The Big Lebowski” went on to become one of the world’s greatest and most enduring cult classics of all time. As one of the most quotable and pop culture-defining films from the 90s, the title itself rings bells and the film’s flair spawned legions of pseudo-religious followers of Dudeism who practice the laidback lifestyle and philosophy of the film’s hero “The Dude” played by Jeff Bridges.
