Although it’s strange having my personal life in the public eye, it’s always been important for me to be vulnerable. There is no other way to bring true understanding to a chronic illness like ALS. It’s been almost two years since this was filmed and a lot has changed… Laarne is now on her own journey with life and I wish her love and happiness. I don’t know if I will find love again But I am finding it within myself. This past year has made me a more resilient soul. I don’t plan on giving up.. My mom and I are still fighting together and I am doing my best to continue my photography despite my progression. ALS has brought my voice to a whisper. I got a new feeding tube. Last week. My life is painfully beautiful and I am grateful for every second of it.. I just need to continue to evolve with my circumstances. Thank you My Last Days team for all of your hard work and enlightened souls and my family for your unwavering love and support. I L O V E Y O U.

I went to the emergency room with ascending numbness, after my family doctor blew me off. At the hospital they immediately got me a neurologist. He said I had MS, ALS, or Guillian-Barre. I was terrified. My husband went back to work and left me there alone. It was Guillian-Barre. I did recover. And divorced that asshole. You are wonderful, live your beautiful life.

It's just that so many herbal doctor claiming a cure which some do not work at all.But turning to scientifically developed medication, is there any drug aimed at curing Diseases and Virus which is under clinical trial that's about to be released, No I guess,so contact DR.Rabiu for any diseases and virus.

I couldn’t watch all of this, my dad passed from this disease 3 years ago and it’s truly amazing that anyone diagnosed with it can keep such a bright outlook on life and not really complain, which they have every right to do. My dad never complained, he always smiled & joked until his final days and when I first got to his side when his situation turned, his first words to me were “I’m sorry”…he was sorry I had to rush a hour away to be by his side smh amazing he still was thinking about everyone else. Anthony, people like you and my dad are true heroes the way you continue to spread light in the darkest situations, continuing to love and care for others and create memories instead of letting this disease take over what’s left of your quality of life, you make the best of it. Dear Anthony -- I have never been so moved by a video as I was with your episode. I have struggled with being vulnerable not consciously but subconsciously, throughout my entire life. When you showed your vulnerability, you made it okay for me to reveal my own (although I was alone). It was like a brick had been removed from a wall I had denied even existed and some light penetrated my soul. I cried. The first time in 8 years. It was a short, "ugly" cry, that included some whimpering, but it felt like a psychic weight had been lifted from me, one that I had been carrying around for years and years. You did that for me and I am ever so grateful. I needed that shift. Thank you for being that unselfishly being that light.

Anthony i was diagnosed with ALS this January. I have just about lost my speech and swolling is so very difficult for me. Like you i am learning to evolve with the changes in my body that others cant see but i can feel. When I began watching your videos and you have inspired me in more ways that I cant say. You give me strength and hope! I try to focus on the living my best life everyday! I dont think to far ahead but i do have things i want to do and a few places i would like to see before my time is over! My sister is one of my angels. My husband and I are so thankful that she makes all of my phone calls and schedules all of my appointments. She advocates for me to get me what i need to fight this disease and make living my the best it can be. My husband and I are so grateful to have her. With her on my side it allows my husband the ability to concentrate on taking care of me. I feel blessed. I thank God for the ALS Foundation and the MDA CLINIC where i get my treatment. I will continue to pray for your mom and for you and everyone else who has been diagnosed with ALS. I urge every one to donate money no matter how small or big the amount. We need a CURE and we need to have access to treatment that will give us more time without having to be worried about how much the procedure costs! We as Americans have that right ! Such a powerful video. My dad was diagnosed with ALS this past winter. Dealing with this has been a struggle, at best.
I oftentimes feel so selfish because I am so mad at the world about this that I feel like I can't enjoy what time we have left. Crushing depression pops up often and trying to balance that with being a father and husband to my wife and daughter, along with a baby expected in February 2020, has been a struggle. I'm terrified for life after my dad, he's always been a constant go-to contact for me. I love you Dad.

Best thing I can say - some days will be good, some won't.. for you both. It's ok to be mad though, its fucked. Don't fight those angry feelings, they are as important as the good. I have seen a vulnerable side to my dad that i've never known and through that I feel like i've gotten to truly know him. What a beautiful and loving couple you are. Heartbroken for the two of you.
I didn't realize ALS was genetic. Your family and friends are wonderful for you.
Prayers and love to you and your family.

My mom was diagnosed in September and passed away the following May at 54. Sad to go see someone go through this horrible disease. My grandfather and uncle and cousin all passed from ALS .

I’ve known a few people with ALS and it is so frustrating we aren’t doing more when we totally have the research. I
Hope we can do more to at least extend their lives sooner. He’s got such a good soul.

I'm really sorry to hear that =( I can't imagine what it feels like watching people suffer from ALS. I’m a student researcher at the Rochester Institute of Technology doing research on ALS patients and their families. If possible, I would love to schedule a conversation with you to learn more about your particular situation or encounter with ALS. Can I reach out to you?

God bless this family. My mom died in January of this year and before then she spent her last 3 months in hospital, 2 1/2 months in icu on a respirator and tracheotomy and it was very hard for me to see her like that. Mom wanted to talk and tried so hard and it killed me to see her like that. May God continue to bless you and your family with strength to endure and know my prayers are with y'all.

Anthony, thank you for sharing your story. I was diagnosed with progressive brain damage as a result of chronic adult epilepsy about four months ago. Since then, I’ve had to make a lot of changes in my life, including shifting my career focus and reducing my physical activity greatly. I’ve spent too much time lately worrying what my future looks like. This video made me feel the earth shift beneath my feet. It gave me such needed perspective and reminded me to stay grateful, live in this moment and appreciate the abilities my body has right now. I have shared this video with friends and students and they have said that it helped them understand me in a way that they didn’t until now. Thank you for your vulnerability.
