Come on guys can we just stop arguing about how Russian or American weapons getting destroyed in war? Because what is war without weapons destroyed? And what is a weapon if it is used by a bad user?
It’s about the number of loses and weapons destroyed. Compare the Gulf war to this Sh*t show Russia has been humiliated in. The US defeated Iraq with in a month and Iraq in 1991 was the 4th strongest military in the world, with over 600,000 active duty soldiers, 5000 Russian tanks, thousands of Russian artillery, hundreds of modern Russian fighter jets like the Mig-29 and Mig-25, hundreds of Russian modern SAM’s like the SA-6, ballistic missiles and many many Russian Manpads.
The US beat that military in a month while taking less than 500 CASUALTIES!!! Russia takes 500 casualties per day and has lost thousands of heavy military equipment, and are stuck in a stalemate with the 22nd ranked global military in Ukraine
@@tylerclayton6081 One of the biggest flaws the US has never seems to improve is to measure the numbers of the opponent alone without trying to figure out how strong is the opponent’s will to fight. Iraq was actually a poorly equipped army (compare to the US) with degraded T-72M from Poland which did not have composite armour. Soldiers were horribly trained and has a very low morale. The command system was also very corrupted and unwilling to fight. As I said, the will of the ones who fight is more important than the weapon he wields. And unfortunately for Russians, that’s what Ukraine has.
P/S: This is also the first time Russia fight in a war this large against a country supported by NATO. They sure have triggered much less wars compared to the US
Just see the capabilities of millitary of Russia and ukraine ukraine is 10x behind but still russia isn't able to capture ukraine in nearly 3 months and taken a whole lot of loss than ukraine also nato is only supporting ukraine with arms not army those arms russian army also has but still taking lot of loss therefore it's said one man defending his home is stronger than others invading it

war without weapons is a fistfight

I always wonder whether current missiles really care about the pilots abilities these days. Modern missiles perform actions, that would kill every human AND they are faster. Additionally the concept of fighter jets now revolves around flying weapon carriers, which should be able to detect any incoming fighter from a far.
if you think about it, every military vehicle is a rocket launcher.
@@VES. Right, but the concept is driven to its extreme with platforms such as F-22/35, which try to be hard to detect, while knowing the enemies position long before him. That is also the aim of the NGAD program and with basically having flying sensors all over in the form of drones. I think the war of the mathematicans and computer scientists has long begun.
this theory reduced american kill ratio from ww2 to vietnam, they believed that airplanes should have Guns and should just stick to missiles
That is what they said in Vietnam, yet the gun less phantom ll had issues dueto it’s lack of a gun.

I'm curious about the delta wings on European fighters. Why do they seem to only use them and why do US fighters never use them? What are the advantages/disadvantage and is there some difference in tactics and doctrine that dictate the different choices?

Eurofighter Typhoon at 7? You're nuts! Nothing short of F-22 and maybe Su-57 could out-dogfight a Typhoon! No other plane can maintain as much air speed in tight turns as a Typhoon, nor can any other plane, and especially pilot, conduct 9G maneuvers for as long as with the Typhoon.
Also, even though the Su-57 is quite good, there are only a handful in existence, and unlikely to be more in the future, so not a real contender.
Furthermore, Typhoon has the Meteor missile for long range interception which is a great advantage (even though not really for dogfighting).

the only reason why the su 57 is no 1 is because everyone saw it do that maneuver in top gun maverick and can't get over it, and all of this is off Wikipedia or just their own assumption. the gripen CANNOT do a cobra.
Rozhodujú tu stealth vlastnosti , kde SU-57 patrí do 4+ generácie a nie do 5.generácie kvôli absencii RAM náterov.
Maneuverability cannot be measured on a linear scale as this video suggests.
For example, an aircraft like the F-16 has excellent high speed and high G maneuverability particularly at it's corner velocity of around 450 knots CAS and at low to medium altitudes below 20,000 feet.
On the other hand the F/A-18 has excellent slow speed and high alpha maneuverability and can be maneuvered even at around 150 knots CAS.
Which one is more maneuverable? It depends, what kind of maneuverability are you asking for?
The Su-30 will do all kinds of backflips and high alpha, while an F-16 will effortlessly maintain high Gs in a dogfight. The conditions of the flight will also affect maneuverability. In a high G fight, the F-16 is better at medium altitudes while the F-15 is better at higher altitudes.
Some aircraft excel in specific maneuvers, the F-35 for example has a maneuver called the pedal turn that produces a consistent 28 degree per second rate. The F/A-18E and F on the other hand has a menuver called the "Turbo nose down" which is also excellent.
So you can't simply say, Aircraft A is more maneuverable than aircraft B.
I think she is talking about maneuverability in general. You got good points though 👍
turbo nose down? you mean the pirouette maneuver?
Very well put sir. It's a joy to some one who also knows the different doctrines of ACM/BFM, and that the objective is to engage in a fight that fit your aircraft the best.
The Su-57 on has that thrust to weight ratio with the engines designed for it which don’t exist yet. It has to use the engines of the SU-35 which are under powered in that big ass jet. It does really matter since it’s only built to show off a air shows with a grand total of 5 built and none on the way

Stealth Deathmatch: Russia’s Su-57 Vs. The F-22 Or F-35 (Who Wins?)
Yes, much is made of the fact that Russia’s Su-57 stealth fighter is not going to war over the skies of Ukraine in mass, nor are there many of these planes, unless you count a big appearance in Top Gun: Maverick. But in reality, how deadly are these planes in combat? How do they compare to the F-22 Raptor of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter? A former U.S. Air Force officer gave us his expert opinion: The big bucks box office bonanza of Top Gun: Maverick has, among other things, brought the Russian Sukhoi Su-57 “Felon” stealth fighter to the limelight for American moviegoing audiences, albeit in a cinematically embellished presentation. Going by the philosophy that bad publicity is better than no publicity at all, Vladimir Putin-his overall disdain for the West notwithstanding-probably appreciates the newfound fame being bestowed upon his country’s homegrown 5th generation stealth fighter, as not much else has gone right for the Su-57 program.
Late to the Party and in Last Place…
For starters, the “Felon”-yet another unflattering NATO codename bestowed upon a Russian-designed fighter plane-has the dubious distinction of being the Johnny-come-lately (or would that be “Vanya come lately?”) to the stealth fighter party. The Su-57 lagged far behind America’s F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II and Red China’s Chengdu J-20 Wēilóng (“Mighty Dragon”)in terms of timeliness of operational deployment. The fleeing Felon-or flying Felon in this case- began development in 2002, but didn’t make its maiden flight until January 2010 and finally got officially introduced into service on Christmas Day 2020. A measly total of 16 have been produced, with 10 of those being test models.
A major reason for this long gestation period is that the Su-57 project began development (then known as the PAK FA) as a joint venture between Russia and India until India reneged because the long-delayed fighter failed to meet New Delhi’s expectations. To add insult to injury, the first Felon to roll off of Sukhoi’s production line promptly crashed shortly after takeoff.
The tardiness of the Su-57 might not have been such a bad thing if, in terms of quality, the craft had lived up to the philosophy of “Save the Best for Last.” However, that didn’t quite turn out to be the case. Although admittedly a subjective ranking, the ever-savvy Alex Hollings of Sandboxx News rates the Su-57 dead last when he racks & stacks it against the other three aforementioned stealth entries. Here’s Alex’s rationale:
“Radar cross-sections (RCS) are subject to a great deal of debate online and should always be taken with a grain of salt, but expert assessments of the Su-57 suggest that it boasts an RCS of about .5 square meters-which is about the same as a 4th generation F/A-18 Super Hornet when flying without ordnance and 5,000 times bigger than the F-22 Raptor. Stealthy woes aren’t the Su-57’s only problem - delays in Russia’s 5th generation engine program have left its Felon fleet operating the same AL-41F1 engines found in Russia’s non-stealth but highly capable 4th generation Su-35S. A Rand Corporation analysis of the aircraft’s advanced 360-degree sensor suite posits that the system itself remains incomplete as well, likely hindered by international sanctions placed on Russia following its 2014 invasion of Ukraine. These issues are sure to be exacerbated by deeper-cutting sanctions against Russia after its recent large-scale invasion of Ukraine.” (Author’s original emphasis)
In case anyone’s wondering, Mr. Hollings ranks the J-20 at #3, the F-35 at #2, and the F-22 at the top of the heap.
…But Still a Formidable Fighter
However, all of these woes plaguing the Su-57 doesn’t mean that F-22 or F-35 pilots-or especially pilots of the 4th generation fighter planes-can afford to take it lightly should they ever have to face one in the ultimate acid test of real-world combat.
This warbird remains extremely difficult to detect when approaching from head-on (which is entirely feasible during a fighter intercept). Combine that with 360-degree thrust-vector control allowing for fantastic maneuverability once targeted and a thrust-to-weight ratio about comparable to the Super Hornet, and you have a force to be reckoned with. In addition, this is a fast Felon that boasts the second-highest top speed of the bunch, topping out at Mach 2 (1,327 mph/2,135 kph), just a few hundred miles per hour slower than the F-22.
Moreover, the Felon certainly packs a deadly arsenal, starting with its 30mm Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 cannon. (By contrast, a fairly big deal has been made of the fact that the ChiCom J-20 lacks a gun.). From there, it carries 12 hardpoints-6 internal and 6 external-that can stow either R-77M, R-74M2 or Vympel R-37 (AKA AA-13 “Axelhead”) missiles for air-to-air work.
Meanwhile, whilst Su-57 has been deployed to Syria and allegedly to Ukraine as well, it apparently didn’t see combat in the former case, and reports of the latter remain unconfirmed at this point. Therefore, how the Felon actually performs in a hot war against 4th and 5th-generation adversary fighters remains a strictly armchair exercise at this point in time.

have already taken and divided Russia. Experts)
didn`t read lol
They say F 22 can detect and shoot first
Russians: *Sun tzu art of Evading missiles with Supermaneurability and Built in Countermeasures*
lmfao you dont evade missiles with supermaneurability.
No matter how maneuverable the planes are they're not as maneuverable as the missile.
The missile will out maneuver you 100% of the time.
That’s how ac7 works dawg 💀💀💀
@@f18murderhornet Well you are lying, the only maneuverable missile is the AIM 9 X, the others are like darts.
@@tetraxis3011 No im not, the amraam and r77 are both capable of pulling upwards of 30gs (although not as capable as the aim9x, which is capable of 60gs).
the missile WILL (as long as it has enough energy) out turn you no matter what in its terminal phase. pulling a cobra or watever the russian fighters do wont help. Pulling a cobra while the missile is in its boost phase also wont help. You'll loose all your energy and fall out of the sky while the missile will barely have to make a turn, loosing little to no energy.
Only way to defeat a missile is by being fast, cranking and notching, forcing the missile to make turns bleeding its energy.
u.s. airforce philosophy in air superiority avoids dog fighting...it prefers bvr.
meanwhile, the u.s. navy is concerned about pronouns that will not offend its crew members.
🤣🤣🤣
russians also have BVR ever heard about it?
