It's actually my apple crisp or apple pie topping. If it's too much for the think I'm making I freeze it for another time.
When I need a recipe I know you will have one for the ingredients I have. I water bathed 20 lb of apple slices. I had one pint jar that didn't seal so I'll be making your delicious cake recipe with it today.

What a wonderful smell from the oven! 😆my husband could not wait and impatiently asked how soon we can eat it . Thank you for this simple and delicious cake. No need to use mixer, easy! 🙏

I made an Apple Spice Cake with Caramel Frosting. The cake was the Duncan Hines Spice, I made it bakery style but split the milk with apple cider & added chopped apple & walnuts. The frosting is a cream cheese mixed with thick Caramel sauce & cool whip.

That looks great! My wife has started making a caramel apple dump cake that has become a hit around here. Pretty similar except I guess she is using the yellow cake mix as her strussel more or less.
