When you said crunchy cake I had to laugh. When I was 9 I was home alone and made a cake for my dad, it called for 2 whole eggs and that's what I used. My dad ate it all without saying a word about the egg shells. That's what I call a father's love.💞

Lol like my meatloaf first I was 12 if the spices smelled good they went in it poor Dad he said was so good asked for seconds even ... (the dog wouldn't eat it btw)
I told him glad he likes it as made so much another one is in freezer .... never did find that thing 😅

Powdered sugar or eat cold with lots of whipped cream. Or both 😂
Maybe a sprinkle of confectioner's sugar on top would add a finishing touch!
My family loves these cakes. I've lost count of the combos I've used. Triple chocolate with cherry. Spice with peach. French vanilla with blueberry. Butter with caramel apple. I like to use a bundt pan for mine. I alway chop apples & peaches befor i mix. Ive also found that whisking the eggs before adding fruit & dry mix will make the cake even fluffier. For a little extra something something, i nuke cream cheese frosting to drizzle on the top. One container will drizzle 2 to 3 cakes. Its good stuff yall!! Hugs from Arkansas 💜

I tried it.. it was good but, my son didn’t care for it.. it was too spicy flavored for him..
No but I did just make cookies using a spice cake mix and sweetened condensed milk.
It was FABULOUS!

Been doing these for years! Wonderful stuff! My favorite combos are choc w cherry, blueberry w yellow, and apple w yellow! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And these are great because you don't need frosting!!!! :)

Happy Mothers Day. I am using a Funfettii cake mix to add a little fun sprinkle to my cake LOL
I have made it with chocolate cake & cherry pie filling (with a tiny bit of almond extract); spiced cake mix & apple pie filling; cherry chip cake mix with cherry pie filling (tad bit of almond extract). Have made them in “normal” baking dish/pan and in Bundt cake pan.
This is one of the most fluffy delicious cakes! Definitely make the lemon one!!!👍😋🍋🍋

I made two cakes this week. One was apple, the other was blueberry. It comes out of the oven with a shiny top and a somewhat dense texture. The fruit sank mostly to the bottom. It was better than I expected. I will see what the family thinks. I think I might try some cinnamon crumbs on top, especially the apple one.
I have floured the fruit before adding it to pancake batter. It might work for cake as well to prevent it all sinking to the bottom!! 😊

Has to come out Dense there’s no liquid, and 3 eggs WOW bet you could use 2 eggs.
I love these cakes, they are so easy. I make them in a disposable metal pan from the store, and take them to church luncheons or any occasion where people are sending food. They love them and no pan to worry about getting back. I made one for my eye doctor's office after they were so nice to me during and after eye surgery. Much appreciated gift. German chocolate cake mix, cherry pie filling, yummy. and I stir in the fruit fillings with a spoon so it will be nice and chunky.

I’ve never made this but made two ingredient lemon bars with angel food cake mix and lemon pie filling mixed together and baked - yummy lemon bars.
I made that Alsi, but wasn't that impressed!

Sounds delicious! My MIL gave me a similar recipe over 30 years ago. A dark chocolate cake mix (Devils Cake), a can of cherry pie filling, and 2 eggs. Everything is suppose to go in the blender, but first time I made it, it turned into the blob and made a really big mess! Next time, I only put the eggs and pie filling in the blender and blended until smooth. Put the cake mix in a bow, add the blended mixture, and using a mixer, mix until blended. Then I like to add chocolate chips! And make muffins with it. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes.
Spice or Carrot cake mix plus apple pie filling is another favorite. Before I retired, this was requested quite often by co-workers! 😃

Strawberry Cake W / Strawberry P. Filling
Yellow Cake W/ Peach P. Filling
White Cake W / Blueberry P. Filling
Spice Cake W/ Apple P. Filling
