A bit of District 9 and something vaguely reminiscent of Crysis - incredible animation and material effects ! Even the physics looks super realistic. Incredible work!

What is this future in which all the armless and legless disabled.
The idea is that people voluntarily give up their human legs or arms to get mechanical prosthetics, and become stronger and faster. The robotic arms are far stronger than a human arm, and you are no longer vulnerable to bullets etc. The arm can also interface with technology, like how you see the guy use the bulletproof shield because the technology is housed within his arm for that. People become cyborgs essentially. Same concept has been used in Bladerunner, Elysium and many other futuristic dystopian settings.
Strange future, but it can become a great game 😀

This looks like a proof of concept, but has some amazing ideas behind it.
It seems the main selling point is interchangable augmented Limbs, which appear to granting associated features and bonuses!
Grappling Hooks, Tracking Rockets, and a Energy type shield are the current examples.
There are questions that will likely be answered, such as balancing, obtaining, and or cooldowns.
That certain sounds more appealing since it would be much easier to expand upon the loot pool and giving way to more unique combinations.
The one thing that isn't confirmed, is this a Third-person or First-person type game?

I'm a bit concerned that we've seen so much promotional footage without any gameplay, but if it's anything like these cinematics it could be pretty cool.

It's not an actual game, the comment's section is never a good place for validation of one's doubts. It's an absolutely amazing...in-engine concept of what could be.

The cyber punk we wanted lol but imma have to see it to believe it. Cyberpunk and every game started doing this trend of releasing awesome pre rendered videos and then never even come close to what they promise
It's going to be a battle royale, not an open world rpg. There is literally no tangible connection between this and cyberpunk other than the presence of cyberware, which is in about 1000 other sci fi universes.
Unreal Engine is insane.
im actually not really a #Battleroyal kinda gamer. i mostly do single player games, however, i love Cyberpunk and this is a Cyberpunk game, and i LOVE Cyberpunk 2077, only 1 question, is the game 3rd person or 1st person?
This is not a "cyberpunk game" smh. I swear, all you children see one single theme like cyberware and are completely oblivious to the fact that A) cyberpunk didn't invent the concept and B) it's one of the most common themes in futuristic sci-fi.

It's gonna release on ps5 xbox and pc at launch. The NFT aspect is on a voluntary basis. You dont have to touch it if you dont want to. You can just enjoy it as a good old video game.

There is indeed an optional NFT element to the game. Players who want to own and trade their in-game items can transform them into NFTs. You don't have to though; that in-game rifle you earn will work just as well either way.
@@playoffthegrid Years of pretty bs cinematic teasers have made me a pure skeptic but fair enough, I'll reserve judgement until after we see some gameplay. On a positive note, the cinematics are very good. Blomkamp is a phenomenal filmmaker.

Nice and good and everything...but...umm actual gameplay video ? I mean I know its 2023 and we "need to hype" the s#*t out of the game but the bigger the hype the higher the chance that the game will flop.... And Im really worried that this game will be the next one. (Dont get me wrong I want a really good battleroyale game) but making CGI movies is one thing but making a good game is something different.... Still nice movie but give us maybe some pre alpha footage of the gameplay so we can actually see what is this game about ?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The storytelling was just so underwhelming. Everything LOOKS amazing, but it is just missing something that makes me kinda, not really care about it. Perhaps because it is a scenario on what seems to be a larger scale. A little more context would have been good for me, but otherwise, this is pretty awesome.
