wanting my hearing back is almost like my mood swings you either learn to love it or hate it, and they come at certain times. Like you, I'm the only deaf in my immediate family, but I learned to embrace my deafness. Sure, sometimes I don't get the magical cupcakes, but you know what, who cares. Sometimes celery is actually tolerable. Sometimes. Love you jess! Good video.

Thank you! One of the best parts of being hard of hearing is not getting involved or getting drawn into gossip. It is a free pass out of a toxic environment.
There was an old man who was deaf since he was a kid. He went to the doctor and the doctors told him through his nurse that there are new hearing aides which would help him to hear again and they are so small that no one notices them. So the man tried the hearing aides out for a week and came back to the doctor. The doctor asked; "How are the hearing aides?" "Great said the man, I can hear everything thing." What did your family think about them?" the doctor asked. The man said; "I didn't tell them, but I did change my will 3 times."
I heard that one before!! LOL I love that story :D

That was like me grown up I have a physical disability call cerebral palsy because I was the only one that had. Cerebral palsy I was in special ed growing up to where all the kids in the class had mental disability which I was the only one before 7 grade that had a physical disability I felt a lone and lost I was even told what I could and couldn't do when it came to my education even one of my high school special ed teachers call me mentally retarded they made me felt like I was stupid because of this I started putting my self down and telling my self that I am not smart enough and that I was stupid it made hard to accept myself and love my self for me
Until I started watching other people's on u tube with cerebral palsy and others disability as well which really help and than I started my own channel which help with my self-esteem and just to know that there so many people that are just like me and struggling with accepting of them self I see the rainbow and have made my cupcakes to and 2017 have been a great year for. Me I 💯 love myself now 😁

I'm quite confident with being my self but I just wanted to say I love to have all my hearing back. I hate having to rely on my hearing aids!!
The hearing in this video it's more like, I don't want to be a hearing person. I know having my natural hearing back would make a lot of things easier but, I think we are pretty cool as we are whether we wear devices or not :D

I've had a point as a teen (freshman year probably, WORST year of my life!) where I hated being deaf, "why'd it have to be me?!?!" I'm way well beyond that now. I embrace my deafness. I have CIs, but that's as far as I will go. I don't want the "magic cure" that scientists are still working on.
