All your recipes sound scrumptious. Thanks for sharing I've been making ground beef stroganoff for years and absolutely love it, it's one of my favorites! (I uasually put cooked bowtie noodles straight into the pan and mix it all together) Have also been making baked stuffed manicotti for years. (Was one of the very first recipes I learned as a teenager to make) I use the large "seashell" looking noodles... don't know the actual name of the shell, if there is one?...easier to stuff IMO. So yummy!
Did you ever try freezing Mushrooms? If you cut them how you want them for a recipe, then cook them in butter, until the liquid comes out, you can freeze them with the liquid to protect them until you need them. You can add them frozen to large pot or frypan dishes, or put in the fridge to thaw, then continue cooking, or thicken for on toast, etc. I like to cut cubes for steak gravy, thin slices to wrap around penne pasta, etc. The cooked frozen portions have already shrunk in size so less freezer room is needed, than for fresh mushies. All the best.
My mother was English. She always used Quick Oats as a binder. This is the only time I've seen someone use Quick Oats. It is alot different from bread. I think it is lighter

Mini meat loaves, sauced and baked with seasoned potatoes (plus potatoes will soak up all the meatloaf yumminess)! That's so smart, and I have all the ingredients already, I'm actually excited to make this. Might skip the asparagus and just do a can of green beans because that's what I have on hand
I tried the beef stroganoff tonight - It's very creamy, but needs some pizzaz. I added some W sauce and other seasonings and sprinkled some bacon pieces on top.
I HAD to stop this video within the first minute to write this comment! About the paper towel to soak up the grease! I'm an avid cook. I've been cooking for 50 years. The one thing I absolutely HATE doing is draining grease. I usually take a strainer, put it inside a larger bowl so the hot grease doesn't go down the drain. What a pain. Thank you...I can't believe I've never done this before. I feel like an idiot😂 how freakin simple to use the paper towel method! Thank you!
