I still want to know how tf he disintegrated that one dudes arms when he was first introduced, that has nothing to do with any of his abilites and looks so broken😭
@@leviwatson1891 that was censorship, he just cut it
@@leviwatson1891 @Pablo's comment is right but - if you want an "anime canon rationalization" then - recall when Wing was teaching Gon and Killua about how stepping into hostile nen without nen protection is like stepping into a blizzard with no clothes. The dude with disintegraded arms had no nen protection.
Recall the 3 weak nen opponents that Killua and Gon had to win against - Riehlvelt, Gido, and Sadaso.
Recall how Wing warned Gon that people unprepared with Nen were given "the initiation" (paraphrasing) where they were attacked by hostile nen.
Now think - how did Gido lose his lower half? How did Riehlvelt get paralyzed? How did Sasado lose his arm? "Initiation."
So how did the one dude at the start lose his arms to Hisoka? "Initiation."
probably the biggest difference between Hisoka's post mortem nen display and everyone else's (that we have witnessed so far) stems from Hisoka's indescribable level of intelligence and calm. It appears that typically you need to be in a high state of unbridled fervor on the brink of your death and what results is a power you did not specifically create but represents the intensity of what your will power was directed at in your final thoughts. Hisoka however was relatively calm and essentially asked his Bungee Gum to perform CPR. So not just some random burst of emotional vomit but a very precise calculated maneuvre. I am scared of Hisoka not because his Bungee Gum can be stronger, or harder, or longer, or moldable into different shapes, etc. Even if there is ZERO boost from its post mortem manifestation, this demonstration still illustrates how terrifying Hisoka is. Because he has always been smart enough to use Bungee Gum in the most creative (and often deadly) fashion. He doesnt really care to use his Bungee Gum in an uncreative way like to glue down his opponents or like a club to whack people with or to suffocate them. He uses it to enhance his own mobility, other tactics, deception, distraction, psychologic damage and all round things that amuse him to make the battle more interesting. And he usually is capable of thinking up these things in the middle of battle, even in the middle of losing limbs and life, even in the middle of dying. Bungee Gum by itself is actually not really a great ability especially for combat. If I had Bungee Gum I would trip over it down the stairs and break my neck on my first use. Good thing Hisoka is not me. :D I agree with the underrating of Texture Surprise. It's as versatile if not more so than Bungee Gum, but, similarly, also needs the brains to use it properly.
It’s not the point Hisoka doesn’t use his ability for things like gluing the opponent or slamming them around, it’s because all his opponents besides Gon KNOW how dangerous it is to let bungee gum touch you even once, as seen in Gon’s battle and why Chrollo didn’t engage with Hisoka in direct hand to hand combat
Hisoka is dangerous for many factor but bungee gum is very dnsgerous since once he sticks it on you, it cannot be broken unless you can overpower Hisoka’s own raw power
@@aceclover758 yeah, that's exactly what I learned from the quiz Gon failed miserably.
"It's was option 4 none of the above, I attached my bungee gum when I gave you a lecture on nen", said Hisoka while attaching a rock 😂😂😂
edit:"look right, oops did I say right? I meant my right which is your left" 😂😂😂
Bungee gum gum is ideally suited for combat!
The fact you said otherwise makes me question your qhole analysis.
You say that bungee gum is not ideally suited for combat. But did you ever consider the fact that it possesses the properties of both rubber and gum?
One of the most eloquent comments I've seen lately on RUclips, especially about Hisoka. Loving the subtleties you caught onto + a bit of humor. ;)) "random bursts of emotional vomit' ....ha ha, such an anime cliche for power, which is the opposite of what Power actually is, the way Hisoka is demonstrating time and time again. He is so original because he's not afraid to be unoriginal .....precisely why he didn't die, because he wasn't afraid to. As I've heard it before said: he cheated death by embracing it.
Just remember how deadly Hisoka was when Bungee gum only had the properties of Rubber and Gum…
And relish in the possibilities with what he can do now.
Don't let his new new abilities distract you from the fact that bungee gum has properties of both rubber and gum.

I feel like Nen and Stands are opposite sides of the same coin. Both have pretty much limitless possibilities but Stands are external(mostly) manifestations with pretty much no concrete rules and Nen abilities are internal powers with very specific rules.
Absolutely agree that's why I always choose it as my favorite fighting system in anime
@@lydiamourningstar2028 honestly stands are weird, sometimes what stand you get is related to your personality, and sometimes it's just a rulete. You can get a beoken stand like wonder of you, or you can get a stand that kills you if someone looks at your back. There is also no apparent way to get stronger with your stand, which is why i was always disappointed about hamon not getting used together with stands.
1000+ episodes later, we will see Hisoka unlock a new skill making him some kind of a Sun God.
wait a minute that sounds like luffy with nen
Gum God
New Hisoka has properties of both Hisoka and post-mortem.
One possibility that I never hear discussed is that, what if Hisoka is fully healed and doesn't need Nen to replicate his body parts anymore. He still possessed the save state from Greed Island. Isn't it possible he returned to there and fully healed with the Angel card? That would make him even more dangerous as his nen can be 100% dedicated to fighting.
Oh snaps I forgot about that arc yikes!
Only problem is that we dont know what happened to greed island after it was completed, we know Dwun and List left the island as we saw them in the Election arc, and so maybe the other game masters abandoned the project and apart from the island existing already outside the game maybe theres just not alot left from the game itself and the game masters wanted their full aura back so cards just dont exist/work anymore
I wouldn't assume the Game Masters abandoned the game. Razor is serving life sentences. I think it is possible for some Game Masters to leave the Island when needed. As Bisque (spelling) summarized, the game was created to help people develop their nen. The rarity and Battora's (spelling again) reward is what caused the mad rush to get into the game.
Greed island is an ungoing game
@@kenrichardson2781 I mean Razor could always go back to prison to serve the rest of his sentencec, or with a powerful hunter friend like Ging he could probably get his record wiped and then become a hunter himself (i assume he isnt already otherwise why would he be serving time)
Hisoka's most dangerous weapon is not his nen but his mind.
Hey why don't you try crediting the artwork at 12:14 from my friend Lati-oni. Don't steal others work and not give credit.
Technically, Second Prince Camilla can also use a form of Post-Mortem Nen by herself, though it is a bit different from Hisoka's power boost: The Cat activates at the moment of her death, kills her enemy and brings her back.
One could just effectively kill her by taking their own life while taking hers like a bombing... or even taking her life then immediately taking their own to avoid the cat.
I mean in her case you could argue the pay off is even greater. She uses post mortem Nen to power an unavoidable sure kill ability that also revives her.
@@TJE.13 hmm I wonder if that ability makes her theoretically stronger each time she dies
It ain’t her nen though
@@Liliquan The Cat Who Lived A Million Times is her nen ability it activates when she dies, it isn't her Guardian Spirit Beast. Her Guardian Spirit Beast is the Anemone looking Nen Beast which is also a manipulator. Most abilities have names in Shounen because the person created it. Guardian Spirit Beasts do not have a name.
You can actually see Hisoka using his gum aura as a prosthetic when he killed Shalnark. In one of the manga panels you can see his foot stretching like bungee gum. That alone showcased how crazy this can get.
He can probably get even faster now with this ability. Like how even Gotoh couldn't track him when he used bungee gum to propel him.

Man I can't believe hisoka finally awaked his devil fruit
Love this comment 😂
When Hisoka accelerated himself by deforming his gum leg to kill the spiders ( the robot one and the copy one).... that was brilliant
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought about how insanely strong Hisoka is now that he has post mortem nen.
He always been very strong he just didn't take anything seriously and enjoyed his fights which made him look kinda weak, his fight with kaztro for eg. But i don't think hisoka is using post mortem nen tho, since he revived himself. If he did get a nen boost then by that logic princes Camela is going to be one of the strongest nen users in the series
@@SeolousNo that is her nen ability
not her post nen ability, since she developed her hatsu when she was alive and made it her nen ability, that means her nen activates according to her death
Remember death is not necessary for post morterm, strong emotions are needed as well and a very certain death condition
@@ibrahimsurti4922 Bungee gum is Hisoka's nen ability aswell. In both Camila's case and Hisokas case the ability activated after thier death
So what's the difference here? As you mentioned it's strong emotions.
But that doesn't mean he will get a nen boost even after his revival. His command was to "revive himself by restarting his heart and lungs" and his strong emotions only helps that command to be fulfiled more efficiently
@@Seolous i think it's different because her nen ability is to bring her back, like already, hisoka's was never the case so naturally him both having the will to and figure a creative way in order to utilize a much more basic nen ability to revive himself is I think the implication.
but you might be right too, I honestly love how much nen exploration we are getting, the chimera ants were basically pre-k users and pitou really was the only who truly understood it, even final form mereum was just an op demi-god but a child in nen mastery compared to where he could of been if given even half a year to train
hi Dylan, why/how is his post-mortem nen stronger? I couldn't follow why the nature of his nen would change because of this.
the art at 12:14 is by Lati Oni and they didn't give permission to use it
So it’s no longer just Hisoka’s Nen that has the properties of both rubber and gum, but the _entire world_
I think Hisoka should cover the floor, walls and/or ceilings with a coating of his aura and then he could conceal it with “in”. He can then activate the aura at any moment trapping anyone unfortunate enough to be standing in it with bungee gum. He would effectively restrict the movement of any opponent unless they could fly or hover without touching any surface.

Thats basically how he sets up his deadly traps
He keeps the cards in place using bungee gum hidden by In
He already uses In a lot when he uses bungee gum or tries to attatch it to someone or something
Keep in mind other nen users would see that there is something with nen there. So it wouldn't be hidden so easily. But it is an interesting trick to use on the unwary or opponents he has pushed into an area before they can properly scan it. Could even be used to hide traps by making everything look like a trap.
Cool to see Lati-Oni's art at 12:14, no credit thought that's a shame

There is no proof of all this video yet, as far as I know this is all speculation. Hisoka has been able to simulate his own skin from the start, he used on his arms when they were cut and for some reason it was one of the points of the video.
As far as anyone can tell the fan base could be heavily overestimating hisoka nen changes.
@@jords5324 yeah, i commented before to see the video, and now I'm sad. Anyway, even if the video goes a little bit too far with speculation, i think in some way he can be right, considering the purpose of hisoka, the impossibility of his goal with the strength of before, and the idea that seeing hisoka die another time so early will be strange.

My God just think of that climax if Hisoka defeats Chrollo with clone-like ability and through his deception. Emphasis on the "Climax" because Hisoka gets off on deceiving his opponents into feeling a false sense of security, he revels in it!
Your content reminds me how much I love this series
what the heck Liam! hahaha you caught me off guard with your weird ad placement hahaha
Here's a thought with Texture Surprise: does the surface he changes have to be smooth, flat, or handheld sized? Could Hisoka touch a wall and change the appearance of it, and if so how precisely? If yes and with a lot of precision, then he could touch a wall, a pillar, or just a pile of junk and make it look like whatever is behind it. Not turn it invisible, but more like painting something to match its environment.
Additionally, I wonder if he could to that in real time to make the floor or walls seem fluid/ever-changing to throw off someone's orientation. Imagine having to fight a murder happy clown inside of a kaleidoscope
Hisoka got the chill and let the boat flow his way strat either everyone gets caught in his bungee trap or he goes to them in his mad lad clown ways
A body with unusual properties, hardening abilities, and environmental manipulation, all gained after death. I think Oda’s awakening is foreshadowing events in other series.
Love the video and keep up the great work Liam
To clarify bungee gum can only stretch to 10 meters when detached from his body but is practically infinite when attached to him. Texture surprise yes can copy 1000 texture but hisoka has to see, touch, and know what it's made of for a more accurate texture

I don't think enhancement always makes think more tough or solid, but it increases their natural properties like for example making hisoka's gum more rubbery sticky and durable, also I like to think hisoka could use his bungee gum to walk on walls like spiderman by applying it to his feet and increasing and decreasing stickiness with every step.

wasn't there a one shot about hisoka's origin and where he got the texture surprise ability from?
We're hellbent on him improving his 2 nen abilities but we forgot hisoka is a natural at identifying the type and analyzing the nen abilities of others. Texture surprise wasn't his originally. He copied it from a serial killer, and that serial killer utilized texture surprise to change his appearance. Hisoka/Illumi theory is not entirely off the table.
But other than that, if he's on the other side of nen market with virtually no risk to him doing whatever, he could potentially use his analysis and copy low level nen abilities of other users. And whose organization perfectly fits that target other than morena's camp.
The Oneshot was by another Author and while Togashi approved of it, it's not officially canon as far as I know
Its only comfirmed in the show that he got the idea from when he was younger, his favorite gum was bungee gum and he got inspired and formed the idea of his nen from that concept or something like that
You make great videos man.
395 was insane can't wait for the review!
I think Hisoka would technically be a specialist but instead of being all types at 100% I think he would be a transmuter who is at 160% for being a transmitter so he’d have 100% manipulation now
I totally forgot that Hisoka received a powerup after his death against Lucifer, as he activated the post Mortem nen power up.
This is actually huge for Hisoka that we are watching on this Arc because you trully opened my mind into how strong has Hisoka become.
But it means the Phantom Troupe know it's very possible
@@muleyamwiinga3988 Let's not forget he killed 2 and we have Kurapika on the boat to.

Post mortem nen doest give the user a powerup if there alive. That defeats the entire concept of it being post mortem in the first place. He got stronger in the sense that he found new uses for his bungee gum but he didn't get a dbz power-up like people think.
@@SolidSnake240 it doesn’t defeat the entire concept. Post Mortem nen is strengthened after the death of a person. So far, i don’t think we’ve seen anyone else command their men to bring them back from death. In hisokas case, his will to live and his relationship with his nen was so strong that it got strong enough to bring him back from the dead. After that, the nen doesn’t revert to what it used to be, it is still technically post mortem, after death. His nen was stronger after death it just so happens that it was so strong that it brought him back too, as that is what he commanded it to do
@@SolidSnake240 that´s really insane logically speaking. He actually got a new power as soon as he was revived by his nen ability. Togashi showed us not a new way to use texture surprise, but a STRONGER way. Before death, he could only fake and use it for deception. Now he can recreate parts of his body with it and heal himself (as he´s done with his neck injury).
imma turn the notifications on , i dont wanna miss the jelly jello video
So you understand the intricacies of Jell-O and jelly I see. A man of culture indeed.
I like to think Hisoka is traveling to the Dark Continent to find a cure for Gon.
Gon was already so out of his league that I find this unlikely, as Hisoka would have probably lost some interest in fighting him. He didn't see what Gon became versus the ants (and I don't remember if he heard about it), but even if he did, it's just too far from becoming a reality. He most likely just boarded the ship to kill the spiders, cause some chaos and, maybe, find new challenges in the Dark Continent.

Definitely right about JELLY & JEL-O theory too bro 😂💯💯
never have i ever been here within like 10 seconds of a upload
I like the idea of nen. It's not just a random power that came out of nowhere like super man. It's the manifestation of the user's desire. The user needs to put effort into developing the ability. Even then, no matter how strong the user is, he needs to know how to pick his fights. For every great thing about a nen ability, comes an even greater cost.
If Hisoka replaced with limbs with nen prosthetics, wouldn't this put him in a very unique bad position if he were to have his nen forcibly stopped? For instance, if he were part of the Spiders and he went up against Kurapika's chains, would his nen prosthetics go away?
Chain Jail would surely make his nen prosthetics disappear due to forced Zetsu

I wonder what would happen if Kurapika dies before killing every spider, as it is his only goal, his post mortem nen should manifest. But I really hope we never are forced to find out that :(
I read in the comment section that the author confirmed Kurapika’s near future death. I’m guessing he won’t kill a spider but the 4th prince, since he has the severed head of kurapikas childhood friend. I think his own nen limitations & vows will be the end of him
Kurapika have ready a broken ability, if nen post mortem then it’ll be above god tier
10:48 With the theory of hisoka being a post-moterm nen billionaire, it is possible. He could disguise an area and set traps for his opponents without them knowing it.
The "Nen Billionaire" Bullshit is a complete logical fallacy. Once Hisoka uses the Post Mortem Nen to revive himself, he no longer fulfills the drawback because his heart is beating, his brain is active, he's producing Nen. There's even another character on the boat with a Post Mortem Nen ability and the ability to revive herself, yet she doesn't have this crazy "unlimited" potential because they aren't Undead who somehow fall in this niche place in the rules.
They're simply using the drawback of being dead, and most of the Nen gathered from that drawback, to revive themselves. It's not like they can just run around spending Nen any differently than before they were revived. Hisoka has clearly made most of his body out of his own Nen from as far back as the Heaven's Arena, so it's weird to me that this content creator is using this feat as evidence of some change in Hisoka's potential.
I think a more terrifying thing with Hisoka would texture seperation.
For example, a texture surprise landmine. Or maybe he refines the bungee to the point that it can mimic C4 or something.
Now he has close range, mid range and exit strategies (the landmines) making him the perfect 'hit-and-run' type character in all of Hunter world
Also, if his body were made of bungee gum then EXPLOSIONS WOULD NO LONGER HURT HIM. Essentially he could just jihad people . Lose an arm, regrow it, then do it again
Imagine if Hisoka will replace all his body limbs with aura and then he will meet an opponent that is able to impose a status os Zetsu on his opponent. Hisoka will remain completely with no body limbs.
Imposing Zetsu is not a common or easy ability. And even with limbs, in an state of forced zetsu, he'd be as defenseless as a child when facing an aura user anyway. A single punch could kill him. So the math adds up -- forced zetsu is rare, and it's a death sentence anyway, so why worry about it?
@@Yodah97 Yes, it is rare but not impossible. For example, Knuckle can impose a Zetsu for 30 days! I can imagine a character having some easier conditions that impose a zetsu for a few seconds. In that case, Hisoka will be completely defenceless without limbs.
P.S. Also the lawyer in Jujutsu Kaisen (Hiromi Higuruma) had a similar power.
@@marcomonti5758 in knuckle's caseyou have to drain his aura before forcing the opponent in zetsu state that is not effective on a 1 on 1 battle that is more on hit and run strategy.
@@marcomonti5758 imposing zetsu in a second? You want a deathwish or something
@@ENELGaming I didn't mean to impose zetsu in a second. But imposing zetsu for a second instead of 30 days. It is much less OP and therefore the activation requirement should be easier.
I wonder if Bungee Gum still has the properties of both rubber and gum.
We’re going to need an update on the differences between jello and jelly video soon.
I think it's worth mentioning that he can create wings with his post mortem nen ability after all flying can be very useful at DC
Honestly, after he replaced his skin it made me wonder how much of Hisoka’s body is the original and not just a constant bungee gum construct. After years of fighting strong opponents Hisoka might only be a brain spine and heart at this point.
I think hisoka is a specialist now. another thing he could do is to emit bunge gum and use manipulation to control it like super buu from dbz did vs gohan and caught him off guard. Afterall hisoka primary strat is to render his opponents movement with bungee gum and finish them off so this will be pretty effective considering his opponent will never expect manipulation from hisoka,he can pretend to attack them with gum they will evade and hisoka releasing gum. afterward in battle manipulating the same gum and attacking them from behind.
Even if he could do all of that none of it is specialisation. specialist is something that cant be explained by the other nen categories. Reading minds; seeing through time; erasing your existence; using other peoples abilities and being able to forcefully increase your nen capacity / proficiency are the only cannon specialist abilities so far.
specialist is for supernatual stuff like future prediction, or ability theft. You're thinking manipulation which is opposite to transmutation (his primary)
@@xavmanisdabestest a person can become specialist later on in thier life thats what happend to hisoka,he can now use all categories of nen making him a specialist .
Hisoka isn’t a specialist
That is head canon
You don't need to be a specialist to use multiple categories. Hisoka has experience enough to know how to use any category and he also has an exceptional amount of aura now, even if he use his worst category for 40% efficiency, it will be powerful enough in most situations
This was really Good nice video
All your videos are so entertaining
Remember that his new ability doesn't change fact that bungee gum has properties of both rubber and gum.
If Nikola Tesla said it, you know that it is a true.
GIVE LATI-ONI CREDIT FOR PICTURE AT 12:13 amazing Hunter x Hunter artist the least you could do is credit them
