I see no reason to put anyone but hisoka in the gum tier. Anyone who can't use his ability in many versatile ways is simply a peak transmuter which is one below gum tier and is very respectable.

probably because changing your body isn't really a transmuter thing. it is more inline with manipulation by warping and shaping your body or by conjuring a new body around the existing one like Tsubone or that one Heil-Ly member with the tool ability.

My interpretation was that he was referring to the temperature of the heat. Phinks said Feitan’s ability has a wide range and this one could obliterate you instantly. Kalluto interpreted it as meaning there were other forms. We don’t really know what the extent of his ability is.

You’re shafting Hanzo here. We already know doubles are a conjuration ability, and he is a dual affinity user with conjuration being his dual affinity and since he has to be asleep to use the ability suggests he has complete control over his double without using manipulation. Putting his real body to sleep is like a condition for that. Furthermore, it’s his 4th skill, suggesting he has at least 3 more and that shows nen competency to create that many abilities.

I would say hisoka’s ability isn’t inherently as good as biskys. He’s just an absolute genius and uses it to its full potential

Bisky is a nen genius but she doesn’t utilize her transmutation ability as well as Hisoka, at least not from what we’ve seen on screen. Overall in terms of nen master id say she’s above Hisoka just because she has mastered *some* other form of nen with her transformation. Even though we don’t know what that is exactly.
@Evangelionl0vr yes but what's interesting is that when bisky unveils her natural form, it seems as if she has the strength of an enhancer. Bisky lowkey has enhancer level strength as a transmuter which is insanse. And she's probably that strong becauss cookie kept healing her wounds when she became exhausted. Bisky theoretically has trained more than twice the time she's been alive, and she's in her 50's. She's a scary ass nen user😂

I am a little shocked that Zeno and Silva are emitters , but In some ways it is a good thing and makes Killua being a transmuter even more of a rebel within his own family. Also Emitter and Specialists are perhaps the best counter against transmuters like Hisoka and Machi , as both can bind and snare anyone who gets close too soon, or at all for that matter. The ranged attacks of an emitter can lead to so many amazing moves. Yeah, i want to see more Emitters.
It is not shocking at all, in fact it was obvious from the start, considering their usage of nen. We have seen both of their abilities, dragon dive and explosive orbs, which logically falls into emitter category.
From the very first time I saw Zeno and Silva using their abilities, I was like "wow they're emitters, doing some badass dragonball shit".Then after finishing the series I kept reading everywhere that they're using transmutation (the white haired Zoldycks theory etc) and I felt so darn stupid. FINALLY, after all these years I am proven correct. I knew I wasn't crazy! Can anyone else relate??
My gotcha moment for "I knew, it zeno is really an emitter" was when he created the dragon that took meruem and netero away. Only an emitter could make such long distance, high aura construct with non-visible restrictions.
Transmuters rarely detach aura without restrictions.
I recently rewatched the chimera ant arc and TBH Zenos dragon dive and dragon ride ability both are totally emission

Highlighting the potentional elimination of need for sleep (starring Din Viesel) is a great point, making sleeping optional would be probably in my top 10 superpowers, if you don't count other superpowers that already include that, like invulnerability, or becoming Dr. Manhattan - like being.
Not to mention that it isn't erasing the act of brain restoration, or deep state of relaxation, just the need to use 8 hours to get that brain function which also means bisky is probably lowkey a genius well if she wants to be
she could learn how to speak an entire new language, use her ability and repeat the process over a day and have it all learned/mastered in what would take multiple weeks or longer for a normal brain to begin to connect those neural pathways
furthermore she could do this with physical abilities too, practice and train then use her ability, go back out. This is what makes bisky the best support nen ability we've seen, other than maybe knov's though his for a whole different reason of course to do with scouting and infiltration.

one thing about bisky is that it's been proven that you learn/master skills faster and better with due rest/relaxation, reason I bring this up is she's very clearly honed her body to near its highest limit much like a smaller version of netero but she created an ability that helped literally destress, thus reduce aging thus allow for more practice and note she's much younger than netero
i think it's actually totally logical that bisky while never as offensively capable with her nen ability has created one that would allow you to master nen and your body, focus, study, master, rest, focus-study-relax is the key to martial arts and learning for our brains
just wanted to point out her ability might not look useful but practicality imagine how useful it would be in a practical war scenario, you'd essentially always be rested and relaxed to the point you could take the time and effort/focus to learn things during the fight retreat for literally half an hour and come back ready to go again.
p.s. this very clearly symbolically ties into why she's such a great teacher and teaches gon/killua so well, but also ties into her desire to forge rare materials, ores etc into a "gem", her ability enables her to push herself and others to their limits. It's an extremely amazing support ability.

I’m starting to wonder if togashi even Knows the nen types of his own characters.
I know nen may be linked to anything supernatural, but we do know that Hanzo has a ton of skills through his ninjutsu. Which means he could very well be a top-tier transmuter, we just haven’t seen him utilize his skills

Ok, this is how I think Bisky's transformation works: is pure enhancement. Though everyone uses enhancement to get stronger, Bisky figured out how to put the gear in reverse and de-enhance herself to look tiny and cute. Losing half or two thirds of her strength to be half or two thirds of the size. Though when you're THAT strong even losing all that raw physical power leaves you OP.

It is more likely to be Transmutation, Youpi is a Transmuter and all he does mostly transform his body, which is exactly what Bisky does. So Bisky shifting bodies should be Transmutation.
@@ethanc.1443 Youpi doesn't transform his body because he is a transmuter, he does it because he is a magical beast chimera ant. It honestly makes more sense as a conjuration ability because we have seen two conjuration abilities that can change the body, manipulation is also possible by forcibly warping the body. Transmutation really just deals with aura and it's properties.

It actually says in the manga and anime that he has no human DNA. Of course, that’s not counting the Queen’s DNA- she might have some human mixed in. I thought this was super weird at first, but you have to remember that Magical Beasts can talk, so he still got intelligence and everything. I think he probably has some Kiriko blood in him, hence his shape shifting.

@@laquanlucas6953If I'm not mistaken, I think Togashi listed Kite as nen lost along with Gon in the memo. So we probably won't see much of him for awhile. Though considering Gon kept his nen type, I think kite's probably still a conjuror. Also I think Togashi might be expressing his plans for gyro through Morena. They're almost the same character and have the same goals. It seems like he's trying to wrap up the series on the black whale. I don't see him writing anymore after the current arc. If he even finishes it.

At least it seems like he's wrapping up some of the major plot threads. Like the phantom troupe, hisoka, and kurapika storyline. I hope we get a decent amount of Ging, Beyond, and Pariston before he ends the series. He kind of trolled us with Ging when he was revealing nen types. Putting him outside the nen ring was cruel. 😂

Seems like this would be the case since they are very similar to the mains of HxH. But it would be interesting to hear about the side characters.
@@anotherpawn I see Yusuke as an enhancer-emitter, because he punches and shoots stuff. As for Kuwabara, his personality is similar to Leorio's, but his power, to me, seems like a transmutter/conjurer considering he's not detaching his power (aura) from his body, unlike Yusuke.
Side characters with more unique powers, like Jin, would be tricky to place, but would be entertaining to figure out.

Yusuke does work since his personality is enhancer-emitter and it matches his ability.
Kuwabara is basically just Leorio so he's probably emitter-enhancer in personality but that really doesn't match his ability which probably is transmutation considering that he's taking his aura and having it mimick a substance. I would never classify him as a transmuter due to him basically being the athesis to that personality type, but I could see him being like Morel and multi-classing (but by accident) into transmutation which is why he's the weakest of the Yu-Yu four.
Would definitely be a fun video to see what he thinks about the side-characters. Take my like, sir or madam.
Hanzo really gives the Tenchu vibes. The ninja assassin that is a shadow the whole game only appear the real Rikimaru/Hanzo at the end xD
Another thing of note about bungee gum Is the type of object hisoka copies.
Killua runs out of nen often because of the nature of electricity, his nen dissipates just like lightning. Hisoka however used his nen to create a completely reusable object. Bungee gum doesn't dissipate or disappear. So when he makes a line of bungee gum he is using far less aura to cause changes to that existing bungee gum than others like killua.
In 2,011 Sadaso is only missing one arm. So you may want to re watch that part again.
Finally he understands that it has the property’s of both rubber and gum

Hanzo is probably the weirdest one in here...
His doppelganger ability can easily be classified as Conjuration. But from what we've seen him able to be intangible, I think it could just be either Transmuted aura into the shape of his body, use Emission to separate it, and then use either Manipulation or Emission to move pass solid objects. Honestly the ability of being able to be intangible is the trickiest part since we don't really know which affinity it is belonged. Popular opinion may suggest it is an Emission ability like how Ging demonstrate, but I could also think of it as Manipulation ability (as in manipulating your aura into intangible) or even crazier actually a Transmutation ability (as in making your aura intangible and then making it tangible for Hanzo tho choke the Momoze's murdurer, lol). I suggestion regarding how Hanzo's ability works are these:
1. Use Transmutation to shape his aura into himself+making tangible and intangible->Use Emission to separate it from his body
2. Use Transmutation to shape his aura into himself+making tangible->Use Emission to separate it from his body+make it intangible
3. Use Transmutation to shape his aura into himself+making tangible->Use Emission to separate it from his body->Use Manipulation to make intangible
4. Use Conjuration to conjure his aura into a double/doppelganger->Use Emission to separate it from his body+make it tangible and intangible
5. Use Conjuration to conjure his aura into a double/doppelganger->Use Emission to separate it from his body->Use Manipulation to make it intangible
You don't really use Transmutation to make it intangible in the Conjuration case
It's probably just Conjuration and Manipulation. No need to overthink this, he could more abilities that use Transmutation

I think hanzo is still using a bit of transmutation in his ability, as he is not conjuring something tangible, he’s conjuring a new body, yes, but it has different properties from the norm. I think it’s an application of both conjuration and transmutation at the same time, which averages to about a .9 efficiency rating

@@nenmaster5218 YES! Theres so much to think about! What if you transmuted nen into a substance (like rubber) and then used that tranmuted nen ti enhance something? Would it be normal? Would it fail? Would the enhanced object take on the properties of the substance? What if you transmuted nen into the concepts, like time, pain, or even consciousness? What would happen? Can you conjure these too? There’s so much to be explored here and we’ve barley scratched the surface.

The best explanation I've heard for why biskys ability is so great. Think aboyt DnD. She's got a spell that gives you a long rest with a 30 minute casting time. That's BROKEN.

Would be really cool to see someone like Hanzo who *is* a good nen user and decently intelligent to have a long term plan to craft a base foundation for his hatsu in his weak abilities then have some explosive powerup because he finally figures out how to add a transmutation based addition to his hatsu

Unrelated, but I have a theory: the brother Kalluto wants to get back is Illumi- what if Illumi used Hypnotic Spell on himself? He could have wanted to change his own personality in order to be a better assassin. This could account for Illumi’s frequent lack of emotions as well as his very direct habits of speech. Depending on how recently Illumi did this, Kalluto could still remember the Illumi from before. If Chrollo steals Illumi’s abilities, it would deactivate the spell and prevent him from reapplying it. This would explain why Kalluto joined the Troupe when he did. He would have found out about Chrollo’s ability through Silva and Zeno. Then, of course, he helps the Troupe find an exorcist. And, this would explain why Kalluto wants to rise in the ranks- to get closer to Chrollo, so he could make this request. Or, Kalluto could have originally been seeking an exorcist to remove the needle, meeting the Troupe along the way, before realizing that wouldn’t work for some reason, and switching to the Chrollo plan.

To be honest I would describe transmutation as to take the properties of any object and infuse in the aura or transform his aura into any object's properties, meanwhile conjuration tries to take the physical form.
