If you listen to him he admits the war is over. He admits he never engaged the Russians face to face. He admits that "The Great and Mighty Warrior King of Mother Russia, Vladimir Putin" has found the Super Weapon, the drone, to end this war by spring. Great, great interview Willy OAM, like a horse to water you let him spill his guts on the real truth and just let him lap up the water. I hope he does go home and gets a wife and has children. Will send you a $1,000 bucks. Please give him $500 to go home and start a family! God bless you Willy!!!

By the way, even though I am "The Poorest of the Poor, and Weakest of the Weak", as an a American, I know you (Willy) are a intersection among both the Ukrainian and Russian armies. Therefore just invoke my signature names of "The Hi-Jacker" or "The Reality Changer" ( 1 Cor. 1:26-29 ) and when it comes to the ears of "The Great and Mighty Warrior King of Mother Russia, Vladimir Putin" he will pay the bill. Hell make it $2,000 dollars. Putin is a man of honor and always pays. Just invoke my name and you will get paid. The interviewer gets half--$1,000 bucks to leave Ukraine and start a family---that's the deal. Just a great great interview!!!

18:15 😕 Attitudes towards the Russian population vary, but there's hope for change among the younger generation.
20:07 🙌 Some foreigners initially brought knowledge, eagerness to learn, and a sense of unity to Ukrainian units.
21:04 😠 A growing "main character syndrome" among foreigners involves unrealistic expectations, arrogance, and risks.
22:01 🤯 Disregard for warnings and failure to adapt to local conditions can result in unnecessary casualties.
23:02 💸 Monetization of war-related content on social media can lead to exploitation and a loss of genuine commitment.

38:00 ⚖️ Some foreign fighters criticize Ukrainians in private but publicly praise the country to attract followers and donations.
39:41 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Different units within the Ukrainian military can vary significantly in terms of corruption and professionalism.
41:47 🕊️ Some foreign fighters respect the principles of humane treatment even towards Russian prisoners of war, emphasizing the importance of preserving lives.
43:50 🔍 Analyzing and understanding the capabilities of the enemy, regardless of their equipment, is crucial in warfare.
47:14 🔄 Simplistic stereotypes about enemy soldiers hinder a comprehensive assessment of the situation and the variety of adversaries in the field.
48:37 🎙️ Interviewer values candidness and seeks firsthand information from foreign soldiers.
49:20 🚀 Ukraine needs more training, supplies, ammunition, and drones for better results on the front line.
50:15 🛡️ Ukrainian units should be proactive rather than reactive; need to step up their response to threats.
51:02 🪖 Cheap drones have revolutionized warfare; their potential for damage is significant.
52:14 ⚙️ Ukraine should establish a factory or workshop to produce more drones for defense.
56:10 🏢 Old-school military life in barracks fosters camaraderie and better soldier training.
57:53 📝 Cross-training and versatility in soldier skills improve overall readiness and capabilities.
01:00:24 🔀 Bureaucracy in larger military organizations hampers cross-training and adaptability.
01:01:51 🤝 The interviewee offers continued availability for discussion and sharing perspectives.

The greatest issue with western observers of this conflict that they believe Russians only listen to Russian propaganda. Lots of people in Russia speak English and for a lot of people it was Western propaganda that turned pro-western Russians away (because it was disgustingly oversimplified to address public with low attention span and ofc for propaganda reasons). Today most people in Russia see this conflict as a geopolitical battle, where Ukraine is just a coin which has been flipped throughout the history.

Ok found it. In full context:
“It is very simple,” Polish President Andrzej Duda told me last week. “Right now, Russian imperialism can be stopped cheaply, because American soldiers are not dying.” But if we don’t put a halt to Russian aggression now, “there will be a very high price to be paid.”
Basically if Russians won't be stopeed now they will rebuild their army and attack Baltic countries (including Poland) which will be a much bigger war involving Nato (possibly WW3) and Ukraine. They won't win war without cutting the supply chain.
Duda is pushing US to give Ukraine resources that would allow to win the war and not just "survive". That talk was addressed to Americans imagination and Duda is not that good in English.

As a russian, i'll say that most russian people dont even watch TV these days, it's mostly older generations, and even then, you can find opposing channels that challenge governments agenda and give different opinions on stuff, so it's not THAT bad as in like North Korea or whatever. You don't even need VPN to get access to most western media.
This fighter guy calls us zombies, robots and idiots that only watch russian propaganda, so be it.
Actually tho, i was pro-Ukraine and anti-Russia for years just because of western media i was watching and because of our own opposition forces, and despite the fact that my relatives got bombed there in Donbass by Ukraine's side in 2017, i was still blinded, was going to rallies and screaming libtard shit. My opinion started to change because of channels like this one, because of unbiased reports, stories and many interesting info that challenged my world views, not because of our "braindead russian propaganda" that only gave an oversimplified convenient picture.
That's why i decided to work with Donbass refugees in Crimea. Now i fully support both, freedom fighters of Donbass that lost their democratic rights after 2014, as well as will of Crimean people that used international law of self determination of people.
I believe that people of Ukraine were fooled, brainwashed and used by the West and i believe that they should be brought back to senses. (funny how this conclusion i got from watching anything but russian propaganda, actually falls in line with our russian propaganda)

Russian Russian government made a mistake, after the bloody battle for Mariupol, the Russian authorities gave the captured soldiers of the Azov regiment, and foreign fighters to Turkey. With the condition that they will stay in Turkey until the end of the war. But Turkey released these soldiers, and they returned to Ukraine and are fighting again. This caused irritation in the Russian army. And now when Nazis or mercenaries are captured, the chance of being killed increases many times.

Well, that was absolutely fascinating, in a multitude of ways. I've seen soldiers talk to each other before, and that is definitely what this was.
I'm glad you picked up on the Right Sector stuff, that tells us something about him. He is clearly a far right white supremacist. It's a curious transition from someone who started out wanting to fight for the YPG, but he himself says that he wanted to fight above all else, and loves the military barracks lifestyle. This is clearly a born soldier who would have loved to have been a Spartan. He is clearly committed to a thoroughly romantic view of the Ukrainian people, as diligent and hard working peasants who look askance at the Sodom & Gomorrah of their own cities. He's never seen any corruption, never seen any prisoners shot, never seen anything but disciplined stoicism from the Ukrainian herrenvolk.
And yet, as you remark, people were going to Ukraine for sex tourism even before the war, and it was very poor. There were plenty of down sides to the supposedly idyllic, bucolic, rural churchy lifestyle. He agrees that the cities were full of vice and sin, and criticises other foreign fighter for wallowing in them. The longer this went on, the more I though it was as if I were listening to the voice of an officer of the 22nd Panzer division Hitlerjugend. I mean that precisely. He praises the Right Sector recruits for the heroism and self-sacrifice, completely sincerely; he is almost certainly part of the Azov Battalion, as was, now Brigade. This is reinforced when he remarks that the Russians execute "our guys"; that is true, the Russians have a particular animus toward the Fascist units and their foreign volunteers.
So we should understand that this is a very particular of the situation, and a very ideological one. After all, if he's been involved in the white supremacist militias since his arrival, how much actual experience of the Ukrainian peasant does he actually have? None; this is obviously a highly ideological belief system into which he has been indoctrinated. He sees all the great virtues as exhibited by the ultra-nationalists, and Ukrainian nationalism is the single virtue he admires. Indeed, from his own mouth, he regards those who have a different allegiance as zombies, as something far less than conscious and human
Interesting remarks about the use of drones, I have been talking about that lately. Drones do look like a real change in the technical balance of war, and might well become even smaller and ubiquitous than they are now. They might become the primary antipersonnel weapon, bringing the dynamic of the air-to-air missile down the individual solder. If your weapons are very reliable, you only need to carry a few of them; and seeing as the enemy likely has similar weapons, you won't last long enough to need more than a few anyway.

So he had no real good reason to go, apart from learning something and getting some action, you guided hi nicely, also, I don't think we think the average Ukranian is getting anything but a bad deal man, I never see that, only the ones at the tops that are the usual suspects.
And they always say Russians are like some rabid wolves just going in to kill babies etc? and the Ukranians are just pure innocent and lovely, that's BS man, you know this, don't push that BS man, Ukraine is the real controlled state and it's getting worse.
Given his choice as to why he joined Ukraine, he easily could be fighting for Russia if they never let him into Ukraine? all these guys know nothing about why this 9-year long Proxy war even started, non of them! Russia is not perfect, but I'll say it again, they never went into Ukraine for nothing, think about really, they almost had the Norde Stream 2 finished and it would have been huge for Europe, which was going to lose the most from this? Ukraine and its masters.
It's so obvious it's unbelievable, he still knows nothing about the US interference in the Coup and the reasons many did fight to hold referendums due to the Anti Russia Laws that were being put in at the time, this is what pushed so to break away, and they were bombed mercilessly,
Can you one day try to ask in-depth reasons to these guys without the gloves one, they are not kids, but you interview them very shallowly about the reason they are there, the same reason you tend to simply believe blindly the fact Russia is being cruel to Ukranians for fun? so all Russians or 5 percent, or 40?
You will also do this to China after they made Australia and much of the West Wealthy and much better off, we sell them our houses and land, and they don't steal it, USA and others can simply bully places when China puts in Infrastructure etc, etc, and now they are getting their due, USA and others simply want to change the Narrative, Saudi is bad one day and the next Biden is bending over for them and China, but no one trusts USA anymore.
No corruption, it's it the top level where the Billions go, he won't see that, or the major arms being stolen, come on man, I'm waiting for you to be a harder interviewer on these guys, I know you know there's a hardcore lot in the Ukraine Army that even Zelensky fears.
We all see the images and videos posted online of the Russians, Ukraine hates them and you say they don't do it? it does something for Ukranians if you feel Russians are Orcs, only a simp believes this.
I hate the fact Utube can let Peo Ukranian sites slide more than even neutral ones, and the fact the video is used to make money off of all this footage is making millions for many of what I would consider EGO maniacs, is sickening, I respect your work although I do not agree with your takes on Russians and the way this war started and is actually going? but I just use as many online sources as possible and from all angles like you say, I wish people would talk more about de-escalation, as this is not a winnable war, and the USA is already looking to jump in on China with the Taiwan issue, with has years of context and is not meant to come to cross over until 2047 or something like that, so what's the rush USA?
People who just go to fight for another country without real in-depth knowledge or Blood ties etc, stay out of this or you are just Glory hunters like this guy was! he admitted it, and if you had of pressed him for some back story to the conflict and his real take on why it's happening, I see this as just idiocy, as if ended up in a wheelchair, as I am, [ not through war ] I guarantee he would regret everything he did for simply? [ he can't even really say ]
I Know you fear losing subs etc if you push the envelope to much, as most here are Pro -Ukranians simply for anti-Russian sentiment during our lives and the Wests using Putin as the Bad guys? maybe to Russians, but he pulled them from the ashes back into the light, one reason the USA hates Russians and always thinks they are better fighters etc, I watched so many Russian videos done by soldiers fighting in Chechnya etc, and they lost so many top ranked men due to them trying to convince villagers to surrender or helping people and their own, I saw commanders being so human, and they were simply doing a job, and Chchnya had CIA and their dirty tricks and funding all over it like Afghanistan prior to the war and every other Russian conflict.
Russia was one of the first to call USA after 9/11 to offer help, and they did a lot, yst the US always backstabbed them, time and time again, just like in Ukraine, but this was said for years it was Russia's red line! can they not as a superpower make sure Nato which was supposed to be gone, never entered Ukraine, as it's minutes from Russia's capital? how can people not see this as a legitimate threat, just like putting on a Drone fair in the middle of a busy city during the day?
A long post, maybe I'm just stupid? but it seems like common sense, and Zelensky's Speeches and the girl with that strong background remind me of another famous person, who wasn't acting, he could easily be changed for a much hard lined leader which strong Fascist Ideals with the groups there they tend to not talk about or gloss over saying " yes they are here, but they are pretty cool" really? do you think Russians see what I see? and many get are having Flashbacks of a war they lost 21 million in and still think about it many times through one year, I know they are not running from the recruiters, and no one talks about the volunteers that returned in droves to fight for Russia? [ crickets ], the West is losing and in denial, Russia is not fighting a major war, yet! but it's waiting for the real threat, - Nato, it's obvious, they will continue to deplete Ukraine of Western weapons until Nato either commits or leaves, and I believe if Nato joins on the Ground, China will send Russia the new Drone Swarming weapons, that are a game changer,.
We need to DE-escalate somehow, but the West is controlling Ukraine? so I think Ukraine will be like the Kurds in Syria/Iraq.
Excuse my poor writing skills, >Peace in Da East!
    Take care dude

Interesting interview. His comments with respect to Right Sector (he finds no fault in their members, who have been incorporated into his unit) suggest that his unit is one of the Right Sector Militias who were incorporated into the AFU following the 2019 elections.
The main guy for Right Sector is Dmytro Yarosh. He is a staunch Ukrainian nationalist, but his politics make it hard for the west to officially love him. He is very much against homosexuality, seeing the west as a decadent influence on Ukraine, and has vibrant anti semetic views. Despite being a big part of the 2014 coup de tat, he has disappeared from public view in recent years. Russia listed him as a terrorist, and for a while interpol included him on their list of undesirable folk, however he no longer seems to be classified as such. He claimed to be working as an advisor for the high command of the AFU in 2019, which has since been denied by them, however it is fairly likely he is working with the AFU in some capacity. He is popular with Ukrainian nationalists, and his organization has long standing ties with foreign military intelligence (since before 2014). In a way, he is much like the Ukrainian Prigozin.
Despite his popularity with the nationalist militias, he failed to win a seat in the 2019 elections, and received less than 1% of the vote across Ukraine. Presumably he is not keen on Poland stepping in to rescue western Ukraine from Russia, so that may explain why his units have not been deployed to the meat grinders on the eastern front.
If we are going to ultimately witness a partition of Ukraine, with the west joining Poland and the EU, and Russia taking the east from the Dnieper, Yarosh and his band of merry men are the largest obstacle to such a peace deal. He has no love for either Russia or the rainbow coalition of the selfie content creators, and so while he remains strong, Ukraine stays in the fight.

Her Master graduation in Mathematics at Charkiw (XapkiB) University got rejected just because she wrote it in her native russian language. So maybe we should start to see that in every conflict, each side is convinced to do "the right the good" and the enemy is only "the bad and the evil".

    Hi Willy,
You're doing a great job overall, I just wanted to correct you in regards to you saying that people think the average ukrainain is scamming them.
That is very far from the opinions I hold and others as well.
Those people are the real victims of this situation, what people mean when they say that Ukraine is laundering money is that the top 1% in the country, mainly the government, are not using the money they get for the purpose they claim to use it for.
There have been plenty of curroption scandals throughout this conflict, one is when the defense minister of ukraine bought bread for 100$ a piece, for the soldiers in the front lines.
Which continued for several months until he got "punished" and simply had his title change from ministry of defense to a different title..
That's why people like me, really don't believe the narrative that these people are trying to defend their country.
I'm part ukrainain myself, and yet I don't believe in these people whatsoever.
They've proven enough times to be lying to us, and at this point after so many lies I started believing the Russian story more.
As it made more sense and so far Russia lied much less...
I feel sadness for the average ukrainain and immense hatred to the people betraying those people.

I’m very glad to come across a Ukrainian that is starting to see how his people are being used to hurt his own brothers. I’m not saying that everything Russia does is good, but the level of sick cynicism that the Western governments have for using people with a common religion, language and culture to kill each other for geopolitical aims is really unbelievable.
I’ve said to many Ukrainians, that when they find out how the Western governments have cynically used them, and when they find out about the knife they had behind their backs, that they were going to sell all Ukrainians into slavery to US corporations and banks, and worse, shove anti religious and anti traditional values down their throats in the event of a Ukrainian victory, even the most fanatical nationalist will throw himself at the feet of the Russians and will not let go until they sign a treaty promising never to step one foot outside of Ukraine ever again. That is how disgustingly evil and cynical the Western governments are

    • @Jy3pr6

We need people like you to remain loving and patient and understanding towards Ukrainians and to begin to explain things calmly. Let them get angry and insult, but don’t flinch and don’t respond in kind. These are our brothers who are being mentally raped by people who could not care less about them

this war like so many others just bad news for the people of the country its happening in. its one thing to see it on the news and another to be the friends or family of those people affected by it.
at the end of the Vietnam war my dad managed to help out some of his vietnamese friends families to get some to australia or france. the sad thing is how many he couldnt help. the effect the whole war had on that country that many here in Australia just will never understand.
this war even if it ends in a year or even 10 will affect Ukraine for decades.
Slava Ukraine, let peace come soon and those affected be helped out by the rest of us that have it way better for as long as it takes.
the pain of war doesnt stop just because the fighting has.
