- I was looking around the appstore when I found this sketching app called "Morpholio Journal - Sketchbook. It seemed like a cool concept but it costs FOUR WHOLE DOLLARS!!! I decided to download and use it, recording my experience in the form of pro's and con's. Let me know what you think about the app and let me when what alternatives you prefer!

Would you use this app? If not, what other apps do you prefer?
I love Procreate too but I may be moving my notes/ideas over to this app...
Maybe this app could work
will use it for daily notes and planning. But I hope they improve the cons you mentioned specially the layers
Microsoft OneNote has really grown on me this past semester. It has all of the pros you listed except for the ability to print as a book and maybe it's not so realistic. But I really love it for the lasso select that allows me to rearrange thoughts and move stuff around if the spacing is off. It's easy to use, and I think they plan to add more features in the future. I don't like the mobile app version as much since it's more limited, but for school work it's really worked out for me.
could you also review archisketch
Wow man! Been waiting for this, but didn’t expect it so soon! Good job, appreciate the effort!!🐦
Glad you enjoyed it! 🐦
They got a very professional review.
The newer versions will probably accommodate your suggestions
Thanks for the support! That would be great.
It's a basic architecture drawing app it's good Autodesk it's a bit more advanced "Apsat" what it called Mooch
This is soo useful
another great video :)
Thanks!
Can you review other apps? Would be a great series to look through if you want to use architecture apps :)
Great point! I plan to do it!
Nice Job. I'm just starting to use. This is a sketchbook app really. Does what I do with a pen and a journal (except for line pressure thickness) It's not a drawing app like Procreate or CSP but that fine w me. We're all waiting for the print feature. Appreciate your review/tutorial.
it would be really nice if you could make app review series
tbh I will buy it now because I like simple stuff I am glad it doesn't have all those extra stuff otherwise I would use procreate or notability simplicity is the key. thanks for the video mate update I hate subscription I wont do it.
Exactly! I'm glad they went with the simple layout. The only reason I point out the cons is to avoid having people download it and then realize all this stuff is missing. Glad you enjoyed it!
Same, the simplicity of this app is refreshing compared to others
Agree with on you everything here. Really too bad. I love that it's like a real sketchbook you can flip through, but hoped it would have things like layers, opacity, brush size, rotation, etc. I'm a Moleskine sketchbook enthusiast, so it just breaks my heart. I love the presentation otherwise, but that's about it. Hope it'll receive an update in the future.
Hey Mooch! Hope you're having a good day!
This is not related with the video, but I'm going to start architecture school this fall and wanted to ask if you recommended any specific laptop for me to buy. I am aiming for one that can endure the entire 5 years, with a budget of around 1200-1300. I've been researching and there are waaaay too many options so I thought reaching you directly could be a good idea. (Oh, and I watched the video on how to choose a laptop for architecture students you published a year ago so I have a good idea of what i should be looking for, but there are just too many options).
Also, if anyone else that watches the video knows about the topic and wants to comment I would appreciate it a lot.
Please and thanks!
I have the surface book 2 and its served me well for almost 2 years now but it does not have a good enough graphics card to do renders on lumion but works well for autocad, revit and twinmotion. I have the 13.5 inch but would recommend the 15 inch version but that will cost around 1500-1700. Hope this helps and best of luck.
Back when you made your socialblade video it had you predicted at 7k subs for may 30. You have passed that by far lol
What font did you use for the notes?
Can you add a page anywhere?
💃💃💃
What about other morpholio apps? Do a comparison against procreate
I will soon!
@@Moochers thanks! Very nice video, btw
Congrats
@@BacatauMania thanks!
Morpholio trace and Adobe fresco are the two main apps that I rely on iOS systems..
I've never used Fresco... I'll check it out. Have you ever used this app?
@@Moochers Adobe fresco is a good alternative for Ps for sketching on an ipad.
Whereas morpholio journal is something I've never thought about using. But as per the pros and the cons you've listed out in the video.. it seems like a good alternative to a physical moleskin sketchbook that's limited by number of pages whereas here for $4 you get a year worth of sketchbook subscription! So I'm definitely looking forward to using it!
@@swathir1633 that's really cool to hear. Let me know if you end up using it, what your overall thoughts are. I love to hear other opinions!
@@Moochers sure!
All the drawbacks of the list are fixed on the Morpholio Trace Pro app.
Looks like you chose the wrong app for what you want to do.
Great review though!
Yes, I also have Trace. I just wanted to review this app and point out things it's missing. Sometimes con's are actually pro's for others and that's why I point it out like that. For example, I LOVE that there are no layers in this app. It's a con, but it works so well, makes the whole experience simple.
I can’t even open the note book LOl
please do more fiver videos!!
I have two at the moment. It may be a while till I make another one.
It’s not worth it
How come ?
@@Moochers the app hasn’t been updated for over a year now. I like the app though but it needs an update
