    Hey everyone! As an update to this kit, we now recommend a system pressure of 20 PSI or lower, rather than 30 PSI as stated in the video. Please check our latest instructions for our kits on our downloads page here: www.bobilvans.co.uk/downloads

      should I be concerned at all with a 30psi pump ?

    This is a great option. I have seen your website, but I couldn’t really grasp what kit I needed. This video is a great help, & has explained everything. Thank you.

    Hi. I chatted to you at Camp Quirky. This system looks compact, simple, efficient and quiet. The option of using excess solar in summer to heat water for showers is a massive bonus. We have decided to rip out our old combi system and replace it with the Bobil. I'll be in touch in the next few weeks to discuss the best way ahead. Fantastic system.

    May I ask for some thoughts on using this electric tank on a recirculating shower? I'm concerned about soap n sediments building up in the tank over time? Thoughts?

    Love this set-up but how do you link your cold water feed for your cold taps do you need a second pump? Thanks

    • @bobilvans4205
      @bobilvans4205  2 года назад +2

      No need for a second pump - just have your pipes coming off for the cold water feed before it reaches the hot water tank 👍

    This is great. Just wondering ... I have the original kit, with the two separate sensor/switches, and wondering where to put the water temperature thermocouple. Does it go into the tank somehow? (12 mins 04 sec) Thanks.

    Would this work attached to an lpg heater? I’ve got a propex heatsource 2000 but currently not water heater, and this looks like a great option… I’ve nearly always got excess power from solar and dc-dc charger so it would work a treat!

    • @CosmicSeeker69
      @CosmicSeeker69 Год назад

      the source isn't critical - just temp and volume of air. It's easy enough to source pipe adaptors from the 'net (making sure they're heat tolerant)

    Hi. Did 30psi come with issues and this is now why you advise on 20psi. Thanks

    • @bobilvans4205
      @bobilvans4205  Год назад

      We found that 30psi was quite close to the pressure that the drain valve would vent at, leading to constant dripping so lowering it to 20psi seemed to make sense :)

    How do you switch between 12v and 230v if you have the dual voltage system? With the diesel heater connected as well.
    Trying to get my head around it all before I buy it.
    Cheers

    • @bobilvans4205
      @bobilvans4205  Год назад

      12v system is controller by the Solaris, whereas the 230v is just a cable which you attach either to your ehu for use on hook up, on to an inverter and you just switch it on and off.

    • @willpolr
      @willpolr Год назад

      @@bobilvans4205 makes sense, thanks. No hook for me I’m purely off grid, but I do have a B2B charger (renogy). So having the 230v makes sense as it’ll be perfect when driving.
      Many thanks for the reply.

    I must be thick or just stupid 🤔I have the old Bumper air exchange kit (bought 2yrs ago but only just fitted it) as there is no diesel heater connected to it in the hybrid kit why is it needed 🤷‍♂and why do need the 3D printed covers still fitted (apart from fitted the sensor into it)

    • @willpolr

      There is a diesel heater connected to it. It’s a hybrid of both diesel and electric.

      I have an eberspacher. How do I link the bobil controller with my eberspacher 701? Or does it replace the eberspacher controller.
