No need to spend loads of money on an expensive boiler for your van! I brought myself a portable gas shower which i now use for the hot water system in my van! Watch my episode of how i put it all together to see it all works :)

You have no idea what your doing in any aspect of what did. Your gonna get someone killed encouraging this type of malpractice. Put the ends of gas pipes in a mug of boiling water for a minute, then easy to slip over fittings

Check. You may need to check and put in a lower flow gas regulator. Next increase your tap size to control hot and cold to your sink.
Rusty Gypsy Roving I used the correct regulator that the shower says to use? I think my problem was not having ptfe tap init lol 😆 I should never do gas haha
make sure you only stay overnight in hospital car parks? youre nearer for any emergencies
One more thing if you want to get a hose on easy put the end of the hose in hot water 😆

Guys wherever you playing with gas for your safety one thing you should remember before using TEST!!!!!
You can do an easy way with traditional soap and brush around the valve with a paintbrush. if any sing of gas leak then gas going to make some bubble all around the valve after about 30 sec a minute

Water pump need to suspended in cradel made up of 2 rings bigger in size than pump itself (plumbing pipe 5/6" with rubber gasket or heavy-duty elastic band)and then the 2 bits pipes cradle scared down so the water pump keeps quiet

he probably should not only read instructions but also get some idea how to do plumbing and electrics as well as general carpentry. Everything he seems to touch goes wrong. Screws through wiring, no ptf on plumbing connections, gas and water leaking. This is not DIY its DDIY (don't do it yourself) lol But hey, one must admire the enthusiasm.
FYI, if you lube it first it helps the male end go into the female hole easier!

Not using PTFE tape on gas fittings is fucking mental.
BTW these units from Amazon etc aren't CE marked, or tested to any British Standard.
Would recommend use on van builds for people you don't like. 👌

You need to mount Hardie Backer (cement board) to the van wall and then mount the heater to the cement board because cement board isn’t flammable...

Lay the tubing in hot water for a minute will make is more pliable and slide over easier ( in most cases )
i use a quiet 12v pump from amazon that was 20 bucks
Just a thought but maybe you may want to think about doing TWO vans for you and your girlfriend.

Well done on persevering with the van. Your water connections aren't sealing because the flexibles are the wrong way around - connect the female end with the washer (the tap connector end) to the boiler and use the socket to join the flexi to the reducer with PTFE tape in the threads.
Your gas connection is downright dangerous, sorry - you need to get the proper connector to match the boiler. The PTFE might be holding at the moment, but the fitting on the boiler isn't designed to work that way, and it'll likely start leaking in time. Please check for leaks with leak detector spray, or at least use soapy water, rather than just firing it up and seeing if it bursts into flames ! There's all sorts of stuff about gas lockers, and not using hoses for gas connections, etc. but they are insignificant compared to your connection to the boiler - please, please, please promise to sort it out. ( Also: You know not to use that boiler with the doors closed, don't you?)

Yes I’ve been advised to get some leak spray which I’ve ordered. The gas is going to be disconnected for 95% of the time, it’ll only be connect during showering as I need to use the gas for my gas hob in the kitchen.
What connection would you recommend for the gas inlet on the shower unit ?
The manual should tell you what sort of fitting it is - did it come with any sort of connector?

But I haven't seen your heater and I'm got a gas fitter, so who knows? No guarantees. Best bet would be to show it to a friendly gas fitter or plumber and ask them.
When putting the gas pipe on the put it in a cup of very hot water. It'll soften upexpand. When it cools it'll grip the pipe like shit to a blanket. You won't even need the clip. PUT the clip on anyway.

Having drilled through your electrics you move on to doing something even more dangerous with no prior experience or skills. What you've done is completely illegal and your insurance will probably refuse to pay out if there's a problem. I understand your keen to do the build and learn new skills, but do yourself a favour and go get it checked and certified.

Why didn’t you just use a female to female flexie? What’s the point in buying more fittings for nothing?
Big mistake to use ptfe on gas connections - a failure on a gas safety inspection as ptfe degrades and will eventually let gas through. Don't play around with gas and just get a professional to do it (coming from a multi-skilled craftsman) I got severely burnt by a faulty camping cooker and its probably one of the most painful things that could ever happen to you. sorry for the downer.
