    Just got back from riding the route, had a great time riding between 70 and 120km a day over 8 days. I did film along the route as I went, but it will be my first shot and putting together a video on a trip, so may take some time to edit and post. Wanted to thank Huw and Annie for putting the ride together as I had a wonderful time. Top job.

    • @annieleoutside6044
      @annieleoutside6044 Год назад +1

      I think you will find about 10km of it is on the northern secion of the A9, on sections where there are great sight lines. We would not have used it if there was alternatives and we felt dafe riding those sections. There are no other bits on fast roads and less than half is tarmac so not sure where you sre getting that from..

    • @chris420uk
      @chris420uk Год назад

      @@annieleoutside6044 put the route in Komoot and it says 50% on roads or state roads. The A9 is no joke, especially with the increase in boy racers due to NC500. Pity there's no alternative.

    • @richardhey6020
      @richardhey6020 Год назад +2

      I've found Komoot to be pretty unreliable with its surface definitions in Scotland. GPXing the route to an OS map is better although we know that those ==== tracks can be anything from smooth tarmac to rough single track!! Many other bikepacking routes keep away from the main roads but often mean you'll be doing hike-a-bike instead....
