Lyrics
Looking down through armored glass, above a field of fire and ash. And from this height it’s hard to even tell just what it’s like outside the suit-the terror, and the torn up roots-the lives you’ve helped to make a living hell. But there’s another way to face the unforeseen-you don’t have to stay inside of that machine. Staring up across the wreck, a single figure stands erect-they shout and wave, so tiny and absurd. And moved by curiosity you crack and lift the canopy, and, straining, you can just make out their words: “There’s another way to face the unforeseen-you don’t have to stay inside of that machine. There’s a bigger game, and there’s a deeper dream. So please, come down now -come out from where you’ve been. Please, come down now-come out and start again. I know you’re scared, but so are we. And if you dare, you’ll start to see that there’s another way.”

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

I started listening to Thrice when I was 15 and now I'm in my 30s. Let's grow old together pals!
How the hell do these guys continue to make music that is so much more unique than their previous works, and yet you know it’s still them??? Floored. These guys are truly underrated.
Dustin, if you read the comments: a friend of mine had you do a cameo message for my 100th day sober. Thank you. That bit of encouragement means a lot.
Underrated is an understatement! They are phenomenal artists. I hope they never stop growing and delivering music with the depth and creativity I have grown to love. Thrice is a gift to all true lovers of music. Thank you guys for years of memories. I will forever be a True Fan
When I find Thrice so late in their mature career only to learn of the VAST catalog behind them and witness the transformation from the future is truly something to behold.
I can’t believe this is thrice…their sound has been so refined over the past 20+ years. Their music has always had so much power but this is unreal, the amount Dustin has polished his voice and every member has grown musically is a testament to dedicated musicians everywhere.
God man, it's the mark of a real artist to be able to continue to evolve musically over the course of your career while also never losing your unique sound. Some bands simply can't do this... Thrice is literally the masters of this.
Favorite song on the album, the bass is incredible.
Started listening to Thrice recently after hearing Black Honey and I’m smitten by the beautiful soul & thought put into the music. Fan forever. FYI it transcends age groups. I’m in my 50s and appreciate the music put out by these guys.
That "Please come down" just broke my heart.
It’s going to rain. You will feel lost in your journey. There are going to be many times that you will have to be strong. I love Thrice.
heroes
Wearing the radiohead influence on the sleeve. I love it.
7/8 is a cool time signature.
The swing of those guitars in the outro...sheesh
one of the best songs ever
At first i was "OK, nice one". But i realize i haven't been listening to anything else for the past 12 hours. This is brilliant !
I love this song already. Teared up at the end of it and got chills all over. You don’t have to stay inside of that machine…I’ve felt this way for years now ❤️
i dont think thrice are capable of writing bad music. these guys are so underated
Saw them supporting Coheed and Cambria this week. Fantastic live and can't stop listening to this song.
