  • Why You Need a Mid-Length
Surfing a Mid-Length is a great option for those who have been surfing large foamie boards and want to progress into a board that is more maneuverable. Having a mid-Length in your quiver for the days where the waves are just to small for a shortboard can increase time on the water.
These Lib Tech Beauties are some great options that we have available at our store. Check the links down below for more information or to buy one.

How would you compare the 2022 pickup stick to the new one with the different fin box. Do most people ride them in as a thruster ?

Most people ride the shorter sies of the older pickup as a thruster or sometimes a quad on the 6'6. We personally really love how the pickup stick rides with the center fin + side bites so I would recommend the 2023 fin configuration but it is all personal preference.

@@KitePaddleSurf I’m short 5’6 155 I was considering the 7’0 I’m pretty new still and where I ride has a lot of small stuff in the summer(NYC), I figured I would eventually work my way in to something smaller and keep this as a longer board for others to ride as well. Any recommendations? Currently on a wavestorm lol

@@hawaiianpunch20v You are definitely on the right track - I think at your weight the 7'0 would be a sweet transition board from a longer foamie and also will get use as a mini log for small summer waves even if you progress to smaller short boards. It might be smart to ride the 7'0 as a thruster (2022) to get used to the feel if you are planning on riding a shortboard eventually.
