I got one just before Teddy two weeks ago. Best sessions of my entire life. It was like a miracle that I've been waiting for my entire surfing life.
Does the V bottom make it unstable/ harder to ride?
@@1lucas Not at all.
Debating on grabbing this or a Glazer... Would you say it rides like an egg or feels like a giant shortboard 😂
@@suppaduppa5 like an egg. Super stable, tons of glide. It does turn though. Moving your rear foot back makes a big difference. Fair amount of tail rocker.
@@dablyputs epic. Thanks for the info
I swore I never would be like everyone else and ask about what volume I would ride, but I was wondering how you size mid length when your stepping up from a performance shortboard. So if my I'm riding a 37L el patron and have 39 L small wave boards, how does that translate to what size mid length I should ride for cruising and performance turns.
Just ordered a 6’8 to use it in El Salvador (Sunzal & Punta Roca)
Matt , your not just the best shaper globally , you have a great sense of humor . Best mass produced 'mid' on the market (IMO) .
Best surfboard for a low intermediate! My regular surfboard is a 7´6 55liters big fish and bought a 6´9 42liters Smooth operator. Paddle slightly less than a long board but it 3 times more fun
Hey Trip is there a small center fin that will fit the long board box when you ride it as a twin fin? Thanks man.
FCS long board fin adapter, got it:)
@@peacepuffz Yep, you got it!
Looks like a great fun step up, all rounder ...Sick
You are spot on, and the 4+1 fin boxes give you a ton of freedom to play around with the performance in different waves.
Do you recommend Twins or Keels for this board?
watch the video
I tried my 6'8" with machado keels and MR twins, and definitely prefer the MR's. The keels were fun for gliding, but are too tracky and too much fin in my opinion. Upright twins definitely liven up the turns and transition between turns.
Is a glassed in single fin an option?
If you want to email Randall Realpro@realwatersports.com, we could help you order a custom

Can you do a cheater5 on this?
Of course!
I think Biolos was a bit high in this vudeo
He reminded me of the old days when shapers and surfers were not so sanitised 🤙🏼
They definitely has a sesh before this!😂... awesome rundown on a cool looking board!
sardine? haha gold

Pronounced shaday
Punk till you puke!
Lost and CI sadly jumping on the mid-length bandwagon to make $. This style board design has been in production through various shapers since '67.
"This board is more of a throwback, a time period piece updated for the modern times" Matt says at 1:30 that he built this off of the shoulders of shapes before but added his own flair. Cheers
