I love how Sip and Thrift is one of your favourite videos to film, because it's my ultimate favourite videos to watch. I love it, so excited for the long-awaited return! I live in the UK and I've been so happy to get back to shopping secondhand and shopping in charity shops (our version of a thrift shop, where all proceeds go to charitable causes). It's been so nice shopping and supporting local businesses again. In England, they've been limiting the number of people allowed in a shop, so there's been more queuing, some shops have mandatory face masks, some don't, all shops have sanitiser cleaning stations and charity shops have quarentined their donations before putting them out.
Thrifting challenge: ask people to give you random types of people to dress up as or events to dress up for and you could thrift the outfits! First ideas: Cher from clueless and dressing for an online/zoom birthday party for your bestie. :) Thank you for sharing!
The "Merona" brand is from Target....love that button down style. Get yourself a steamer to remove the wrinkles......you'll enjoy it! I use it instead of my iron. You'll feel more polished & put together and in turn happy, happy.....I know it works for me. Thanks for sharing my dear & Matcha Iced Latte is my fav too !!!💟💜💟
I love the mock neck outfit! Definitely something I would wear. I’m so glad that sip and thrifts are back now. For the dress, you could pretty easily take in the top to make it fit better by shortening the straps or cinching the elastic, no sewing machine needed. On camera it didn’t look cheap to me at least!
I bet that dress is from shein or wish or something - that fabric and the way off base sizing is typical of that type of retailer. They just copy the design from another brand and make it with very cheap materials.
Love this! Also can’t wait for the vid with Chloe (you guys are my 2 faves!) 🙌 I also love the personas you come up with - I do the same thing, and now it makes sense why I have trouble narrowing down my style 😂😂 It would be fun to do a challenge video around this - i.e. pick from bowls with names, an occupation, and a city/country, and then you shop outfits for those “characters” 😁
I liked the random persona you started making up at the end 😅 also if you haven't already, I'd be super interested in a video on what it's like to act in LA, and maybe tips that you find useful? Thanks!
So what did the tag on the dress say the fabric was? I'm picturing umbrella material. LOL! I do like the pattern and style (especially the pockets!). So Cal prices are way higher than here in Nor Cal and we are way higher than other states. Other places pay like $2.99 - $4.99 for a shirt and here it's like $6.49-$11.99 for a shirt. (Based on the videos I watch and the groups I'm in on FB).
do you typically thrift in the Pasadena area? The Goodwill off of del mar and fair oaks is always a miss for me, I have better luck at the Salvation Army around the corner
Can you do an online Sip and Thrift episode? Where you but secondhand clothes and accessories from Depop, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy etc. I would love to see your experience with the different apps and sellers. Take care friend 😊
I'm in Nor Cal and my county is on the watch list, but Goodwills are still open for us. It's just indoors malls that had to close down again. I work at a chocolate shop and we are still open.
You were so close, chambray. haha Yess target. I love finding target stuff in great condition or new at goodwill. Found a gingham tote bag thats pretty big, maybe a weekender bag at my local goodwill. They had it for 17.99 though. I had seen it before the lockdown. Then when they opened back up I went and it was still there. And even better that color was on sale so I got it for 8! That literally made the rest of my week. hahaha I was never a huge fan of forever 21. My local one also closed sometime last year. I have found a couple cute things but was always irritated the thing that I thought were really cute were never in the plus sizes. They had cute socks and onesies though. "Remain timeless over time" =)
The dress is actually cute. Try a thick stretchy belt at the waist. I think that'll help really pull it together. Paired with some cute sandals I think it would be a CUTE spring look. The material is probably the deal breaker though. You know? like the noisy weird feel is probably too much for regular wear.
That dress is freakin adorable on you! I don’t think the top doesn’t fit at all actually! Throw on a thicker belt to bring in your waist even more. Fun to see you thrifting again, but stay safe!
Amazon warehouse workers, delivery drivers and pilots have been protesting over unfair working conditions and unrealistic expectations and being forced to work to impossible targets. They make promises about diversity, green initiatives but refuse to provide any proof by refusing to complete Corporate Responsibility Reports. They monopolise markets, force small businesses to pay outrageous prices to sell on Amazon and anyone who protests this, their products are hidden from customers. Greenpeace have also confirmed that instead of becoming more sustainable, they are actually increasing the use of non-renewable energy sources. The fact that Jeff Bezos is soon to be the world's first trillionaire, yet pays no tax, shows you everything you need to know about shopping with Amazon. If you want to learn more, watch Kristen Leo's video here on RUclips
I don't know WHAT is going on with that Zara cami?! So weird. I feel like that was designed by a man that had never seen breasts before and he was just like, "yeah, that looks about right I guess." **Hahahaha "She's really into poetry"
Umm this thrift was a miss all the pieces are bad they are not timeless they are just old lady and come on you are like in your young 20’s I know everyone has their own style but come on
Chiliebeenie Mcdonald not everyone has the same style for sure, just please be aware of spreading positivity instead of negativity ❤️ The world needs kindness, especially right now! ❤️
What an ugly, negative comment. If you wouldn't say this to someone's face and if you wouldn't like it if people said it to you, then don't say it at all. Stop hiding behind your keyboard.
It helps to remember that the dressing rooms are closed at all of the stores, which means that she had to guess re/ the fit/sizing. Further, these are classic pieces for HER, which she will wear many times over. What's timeless to one person might not be timeless to someone else.
I would love to see you recreate celebrity looks for less by thrifting them
This is a great idea!
Yes please!!!
Yess ❤

Haha I love the personas that you make for every outfit because they're pretty spot on!
Anyone else notice how she said come here to us when she tried to show us the texture of the dress? Adorable!
I love you giving a 'personality' to your outfit. That was fun!
The forever 21 top looks sssoooo good on you!
I love that dress. The back is shirring (sheer ing) and the denim sheet is chambray (sham bray). Love all your pieces.

That's a great idea! She could do characters from Friends, Stranger Things etc. so she can explore different eras and decade fashions.
Thrifting is so fun you can make a piece absolute trash and you can make something else gorgeous. Luv you 💜
Oh man cute outfits made me chuckle
I have so missed sip and thrift videos loved everything you picked up.

That mock neck long sleeve top 👌 😍

I’m so glad I found your channel. I love your videos and binge watching all of them ☺️
Recently went to Blue Bottle for the first time to get a matcha because you rave about it so much, and you're right, it's perfect :)
I love the blush pink/mauve top you’re wearing!
Yayyyy been waiting for it.. Love love love it.. Please do more more.. I missed thrifting..
I love all your stuff you picked
Yay, so excited this is back!
The dress is the cutest thing.
I bet that dress is from shein or wish or something - that fabric and the way off base sizing is typical of that type of retailer. They just copy the design from another brand and make it with very cheap materials.
I MISSED SIP AND THRIFT 🙌🏼🙌🏼😭😭
Also I think Zara is like forever 21 with how they make clothes
Love this! Also can’t wait for the vid with Chloe (you guys are my 2 faves!) 🙌

In regards to the desk, in the olden days and done by hand it would be considered to be smocking, but I think today one would call it rooshing.
The clothes are super cute. The madewell shirt and the green button up.
At least we got in one Sip & Thrift before things went awry! I have missed these soooo much!
Please stay safe going shopping and also make sure to wash the clothes first before trying them on. Now more than ever. I love the dress on you! 💗
She did!🙂
I love the dress😍😍😍😍.Please keep it
Yay!!! I love all your videos!!!! ❤😁❤ Thank you Michel💕But I especially love when you do sip & thrift videos 🥰👏🥳🙌
Love you in the mock neck and the two shirts. Deffo send the Zara tank and the dress back to the thrift shop, though hahahaha!
The sewing technique on the back of that dress is called shirring. :)
At 12:00 how they worked with the fabric is called "smoked". :)
Haha Merona is actually a Target brand
I liked the random persona you started making up at the end 😅 also if you haven't already, I'd be super interested in a video on what it's like to act in LA, and maybe tips that you find useful? Thanks!
I love the tropical dress. It is SUPER cute and not costumey at all
i own a thrift shop in our country and i think everything literally would look good on you 😍💋
I was about to go out to the thrift ,but cases in Texas went way up so I am looking forward and praying for the day I can soon go thrifting again.
We are definitely not out of the woods yet! Heaven only knows what the new "normal" will look like.....
Cute video...u have a great personality!!!! ♡

Love the dress!

Try a belt with the dress. One the color of the buttons would be cute. If you don’t crinkle 😊 when you move, I would go for it!
Ahh you should do a video where you pick some of your favorite outfits and give them Michel personas😂
Great thrifting wardrobe, Michel!❤️

This came out an hour after our governor shut down indoor shopping again 😂

That dress was an extra large?

I love the print on the dress but I couldn’t deal with the fabric, the only item I didn’t like was the zara tank,
The consultant link isn't working. It says its broken.
That's what my hair looks like all the time! Do you have any tips lol
Yay! Fun fun!
And I'm with you- love matcha, but NOT sweet matcha!!
I had a dress made out of the same material and oh boy it made me super hot. tmi but I felt like a sweaty mess but my fave was the mock neck outfit
That dress is freakin adorable on you! I don’t think the top doesn’t fit at all actually! Throw on a thicker belt to bring in your waist even more. Fun to see you thrifting again, but stay safe!
Love the dress
Ty so much
Merona is Target
The last top was so adorable!
I genuinely think you are the most likeable person in the world, just saying. Lol
Dress ➡️👍
hahahha, the personas
Love love this and you! Your videos are so fun to watch.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
A tank top from goodwill where I live (Michigan) is only $2.50 😧 I can’t imagine paying $10 for a tank at goodwill
You remind me of rose mcgowan so funny love your channel.
That weird material on the floral dress is probably nylon
Fun
_I love you deeply My precious child, turn back to Me ~ Jesus_
I like to find Merona in thrift stores; specially the green army color.
I think the dress is really cute and not at all costume-y!
The dress is shirred at the back. Shirring is the process.
Can you do a Amzon favorite video
Michel is into sustainable and ethical brands so I hope she doesn't promote a brand as problematic Amazon.
