The madewell sweater is probably one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen on you. The colors are amazing on you and fun. I don’t think it’s wild at all! LOVE
I love the pink dress on you! I completely understand the feeling with that shade of pink and it being very close the skin tone. But, I think it looks a amazing on you and that you should keep it in your collection!
The sweater is unique and the rust and red and beige are so cool. Hope you keep it and wear it more than just for a funky sweater party. Love the tray and green dress. The dress is cute belted all ways.
I love the Madewell sweater. I think the colors are good with your skin tone and is very flattering. “Nancy Drew” dress is so cute too!! Maybe with out the tie on it so u can belt it yourself if u want to. I’ve never tried matcha tea but u make me want to give a try❤️
SIS THAT MADEWELL SWEATER LOOKS GREAT ON YOU AND THAT DRESS YOU SHOULD TAKE THE STRINGS OUT PUT YOUR OWN BELT TO MAKE MORE DRESSY. YOU LOOK ADORABLE AND DOWN TO EARTH SIS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GOING THRIFTING PUTTING YOUR LIFE IN RISK. I APPERICATE SIS. TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH,YOUR FAMILY AND FRIEND. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I have some ideas for Sip and Thrift videos! 1. Random theme challenge: have Brook write down some themes and put them in a hat for you to pick e.g fancy dinner date, beach day, office girl, Boho lady etc. 2. Visiting different Thrift Stores: going to different types of stores, like stores in celebrity areas, beach area Thrift Stores, trendy vintage shops, markets etc. 3. Online Sip and Thrift: thrifting via eBay, Etsy, Vinted, Depop, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace 4. Recreating celebrity looks: recreating iconic celeb looks using Thrift store finds 5. Duping expensive outfits: getting outfit inspo from expensive places like Reformation, Madewell, Free People and finding dupes at the Thrift Store. 6. Thrift Store Roulette: putting your hand on a rail, closing your eyes, walk down the rail and randomly stop. Then try and style the piece you landed on. 7. Another recreating Pinterest looks, you could do it with inspo from Instagram or TikTok.
Hey Michel! Ive been thinking of doing a series putting together looks for a specific event or reason for example 5 looks for a first date, or five looks for your first day back at work after covid... Maybe you could do it with thrifting! I’d love to see what looks you put together! 😍
@@MichelJanse your welcome! I filmed my first instalment today which is five looks for first day back in the office after covid! Can’t wait to see what you put together 😍
The picture and partridge platter are keepers! The jar is cool and the sweater looks cute. The first dress looks like a bathrobe and the second dress is sweet. The black dress is a keeper for sure. Sooo Cute!
I think the sweater looks great on you and that you might end up wearing it at some point! I feel the pink dress looks really beautiful on you too! I don't think the colour washes you out. Maybe a beige-brown sling bag could add a pop of colour. And yes I think you should remove the strings off of the green dress! It was my fav💗
Hey new friend I am here to connect with you. I have hit the bell and liked the Vedio Greeting from Singapore nice to meet you..and most of all thanks sharing so lovely
The sweater is super cute!! Also, I agree take the tie out of the green dress it looks so cute just relaxed over a turtleneck I’m obsessed with how it looks and the color!
Oooh my god! The nancy drew dress! Holy! You can tie a knot on each of the string coming out right at the base of the opening (one knot on each, not the two together)! That would give it an even more nancy drew vibe 😂. All of them were successes! I would wear the sweater lounging around the house! I have a similar pink dress and I looove it! Even with the drop waist it looks nice! Like you dint make an effort but you still look good kinda vibe! ❤️ And looove the black dress too!
Definitely keep the floral dress. Not any shorter than the first one and fits you perfectly. The fuller skirt shows off your hourglass figure and that back is just a party!!
I love your excitement over the $350 bird tray, nothing beats a thrift store find that's a steal! Me and my mum thrift things together and love searching for hidden gems. My favourite line when someone compliments my outfit is telling them it was cheap and second-hand!! 😂 😂
I actually really liked the sweater on u!! The pink dress was ok, liked the green dress but without the tie and really liked the black floral dress. Also really liked the glass container wit the cork top!
Closer to Christmas, you should do some sort of holiday thrifting challenge. You could find outfits that you could wear to a family dinner or holiday decor for your place!
I wanted to tell you that I love love your podcast I get so excited when you and brook post one and I loved the solo one just as much. I listened to it last night and last night was a hard night and it made me so so happy to hear your relationship stories because I'm 17 and going through the whole heartbreak thing and it sucks so thank you so much
Love the sweater!! The green dress is adorable dont tie it or belt it, its cute with the strings hanging down. Your a great thrifter everything was cute on you!! The tray is my favorite great find. It would look cute on the kitchen counter standing up with a wood planter next to it!!
I think everything is fine. The sweater you can wear if you just need to stay warm. If the print is too wild for you wear it when you know you’ll be wearing a jacket. Be careful with the glass container let your liquid cool before you put anything in it. I know someone who poured hot tea in a glass pitcher and it exploded and burnt her legs.
Loved this! 💛 about that light pink dress... how about kinda tucking the belt that's in there and putting one of your great grandma's belts over it? That way you could also put the waist up a bit more if that doesn't make it too short for your liking :)
I bought today Kombucha its Lavender, Chamomile Jasmine green tea for the first time because you drink them often and its really good! Thank you for sharing the things that you like. :)
All of the clothes you tried on were so cute! I would have kept them all! The pink dress would be cute in the spring or in the summer (with a summer tan I feel you'd love it even more)! I would take the strings out of the green dress, its perfect for the holidays! I think maybe pairing it with some stocking would be so cute and a cute bootie! That sweater is perfect for thanksgiving and sweater parties! It's always fun to have something different in your closet! :)
I think the sweater is super cute for everyday wear. I think you should step outside your comfort zone, wear it, and literally watch how many compliments you get!!! It's mainly neutrals.. not wild at all ❤️
1. Green dress - yaaaas and take the string out 2. Black floraly dress - yaaaas love keep it 3. Madewell sweater - valiant effort, toss it 4. I love you
I would definitely take the string out of the dress! If you change your mind on the string you can pin a safety pin on the end and it makes it easier to re-string.
I think the pink dress looks great on you, the green dress is completely your vibe, but is better without the tie, and the floral dress is fun with the open back and flouncy skirt.
I just went Thrifting today for sweaters and spent waaaay too much. But hopefully I won't have to return anything but if I do... gives me an excuse for books an home decor. Its been challenging thrifting clothes because of the whole no dressing rooms in combination with weight fluctuations. But I'm hoping everything works out and this will be my last thrift until 2021 (doing no buy next year) Plus I went a little crazy on sweaters because we got 6 inches of snow last Tuesday and I'm here for all the cosy vibes
I love thrift and sip! I think you should try to upscale some of the failed thrift finds from past videos! Like some simple modifications to try to make it better.
Absolutely love your Sip and Thrift videos 😊 I always think of you when I go second-hand shopping and am tempted to get a chai latte. It's 100% winter now in England, so I've brought out all of my jumpers and jumper dresses, as well as all my fuzzy scarfs and boots. I love the Madewell jumper so much, but I'm a sucker for kitsch, funky jumpers.
I know I’m kinda late but I love all the pieces. The sweater is really cute and holiday vibes. The pink dress is beautiful it maybe needs a big brimmed hat to break up all the pink. The green dress is cute again I feel a hat would dress it up.
Hi Machel, My thought on the green dress if it is still up for option😉. Gather the string just a bit to gather the back. Pin the strings in front after gathering it, and cut them off stitching the openings with the strings inside,so they stay permanent.
The black tray is by a vintage company called “Couroc” and they make all kinds of fun designs that inlay wood, stone, and metal. They typically only resell for under $50, but it depends on how rare the design is on it.
The blush color dress looks cute on you. Add some natural wood accents and shoes to warm it up. As for the green dress, please don’t mess with belt. It looks great and you would never look pregnant
Not sure if you know this but madewell, jcrew and a few other brands put the year and season an item was from on the inner tag! Its helpful when thrifting pieces from them 🤍
Thrift store challenge: thrift all or a majority of all your Christmas gifts. They could be pieces that you diy into something new of just thrift and give for Christmas/ holiday gift giving
So funny- this morning I had no milk for my matcha so I used ice cream, so it was French vanilla matcha!! Thank you for introducing me to Purechimp matcha.
I know it’s not your usual style but the Madewell sweater looks fab on you. Maybe you could dye the pink dress as it’s lovely except for the colour. Could you tie the Nancy Drew dress at the back maybe? You look great in the black floral 😀
The sweater looks super great on you! Keep it. It would look great with a black high waisted skirt and boots. Very holidays! The pink dress maybe a denim jacket over top would fix what you dont like about it, but it looks really nice. Hair half up and statement earrings may tone down the pink 🤗. Love your thrifts. I liked everything!
Hey Michel! You could try tying the green dress in the back since the string is long & that way it will flatter the waist without the maternity vibe. Just a thought!
The madewell sweater is probably one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen on you. The colors are amazing on you and fun. I don’t think it’s wild at all! LOVE
I thought the exact same thing it’s so cute and sophisticated. With a pair of khakis and caramel flats it’d be so cute!
Agreed! I love that sweater so much it flatters her skin tones so well.
The sweater is just 👌 perfect. Keep it. I would team it up with an indigo colour wide leg jeans with ankle boots
I agree. You look amazing. I loved it
I love that sweater. You could 100% wear it to a sweater party
Keep the Madewell sweater and wear it. It is one of the cutest things you’ve thrifted.
The dresses are cute. Love the green one best on you and I would definitely take the string out! ☺️
You should open a Poshmark for the things you thrift and then decide need a new home!
Hi, yes she does have! @michel_janse that’s her Poshmark account.
I need to be more active on Poshmark again! 😍😍😍
I'm on posh too momandsonduo
I love the pink dress on you! I completely understand the feeling with that shade of pink and it being very close the skin tone. But, I think it looks a amazing on you and that you should keep it in your collection!
Agreed. Sometimes throwing a white tank under to peak out of the vneck area helps break up skin tone color next to the dress
The sweater is unique and the rust and red and beige are so cool. Hope you keep it and wear it more than just for a funky sweater party. Love the tray and green dress. The dress is cute belted all ways.
Omg michel that sweater is fantastic. I love it!!! It's something I would wear once a week at least 🤣
Sip and Thrifts are the best. We can do more of these any time. I love the tray. It’s so unique!!! Even a candle on it with the glow would be nice
I love the Madewell sweater. I think the colors are good with your skin tone and is very flattering. “Nancy Drew” dress is so cute too!! Maybe with out the tie on it so u can belt it yourself if u want to. I’ve never tried matcha tea but u make me want to give a try❤️

Your videos are like that “ah I’m finally home” feeling! ☺️☺️

The madewell sweater is so so so cute!! The green dress without the tie is my 2nd favorite ☺️
I love all the clothes you thrifted, they looked awesome on you!! I even loved the quirky sweater!!

Omg I wish you would’ve bought the flower stool for no reason. I want it 😭
I have such a hard time figuring out if something is cute of not, bc she looks gorgeous in everything!
I love that Madewell sweater!!! So funky and very cool!!! I like the tray too. ❤️❤️
the madewell jumper looks so good on you! definitely keep it, those colours look great on you!
I LOVE the Madewell sweater! So cute!
Definitely keep the floral dress. Not any shorter than the first one and fits you perfectly. The fuller skirt shows off your hourglass figure and that back is just a party!!

LOVE the pink dress on you. Such an sweet color, and I think it's very flattering and very your style!
I LOVE the Madewell sweater. It's my favourite from this haul, along with the bird tray. Love, love, love 💕
The sweater you bought with the pattern (orange etc.) is super cute on you. You must definitely keep that one.
Sweater n pink dress keep. Ya got a ski sweater now book ski getaway. Green dress good. Cut thingys off.

I'm loving the home decor and home things in general shopping!
I like the way the ties fall on that jumper dress. It adds interest.
You should *also* do a "What's on my Christmas Wishlist" video! I'd love to get inspiration from you to make my own as I admire your style. Haha :).
Love the madewell sweater! Def keep!!
Love the sweater!! The green dress is adorable dont tie it or belt it, its cute with the strings hanging down. Your a great thrifter everything was cute on you!! The tray is my favorite great find. It would look cute on the kitchen counter standing up with a wood planter next to it!!

Just LOVE LOVE LOVE that madwell sweater! Just wear it and try it.
This is my favorite series you do. I worked at a second hand store for 4 years and i know the amazing things you can find.
Sure, agreed with several of the comments about the Madewell sweater & think it's great for the Christmas season !!!
I love the pink one on you and the green looks good without the waist cinched
Loved this! 💛 about that light pink dress... how about kinda tucking the belt that's in there and putting one of your great grandma's belts over it? That way you could also put the waist up a bit more if that doesn't make it too short for your liking :)

The Madewell sweater looks adorable on you!
The pink dress is cute but the waist is low-I love the green dress not tied! The glass corked and server tray are great! Good Job!
The black dress with white flowers are cute
I love the madewell sweater on you
The sweater looks GREAT on you! All the items look great on you.
Love love the green dress ❤ definitely agree on removing the tie
Love the tray! Great find :) also, I kind of liked the green dress tied in the front!
1. Green dress - yaaaas and take the string out
2. Black floraly dress - yaaaas love keep it
3. Madewell sweater - valiant effort, toss it
4. I love you

I love thrift and sip! I think you should try to upscale some of the failed thrift finds from past videos! Like some simple modifications to try to make it better.

The Madewell sweater is so good. I know its California but I think it would work for a few months of the year.
The sweater looks soo good on you!
Republik’s lattes are so good! Loved that little anthropology-esque plate you bought!
Hi Machel,

Love the sweater on you! So cute
I love the jumper (sweater) from Maxwell I think it really suits you
The blush color dress looks cute on you. Add some natural wood accents and shoes to warm it up. As for the green dress, please don’t mess with belt. It looks great and you would never look pregnant
I'm actually obsessed with both the sweater and the tray...I'll totally buy the sweater if you put it up on Posh!
So excited for your channel to reach 100k! You deserve it🤍
Would you ever do an honest review on hungry root?
That sweater looks great on you! The colors suit you!
Also, I got my sip from a local coffee joint and it was 6.20 for a medium frappe after tip but it was so worth it. A peanut butter mocha--yum!
You should do a Halloween costume thrifting where you find ordinary clothes and make them into Halloween costumes!!
Not sure if you know this but madewell, jcrew and a few other brands put the year and season an item was from on the inner tag! Its helpful when thrifting pieces from them 🤍
Love the thrift videos! Try tying the green dress around the back!

Love these Sip and Thrift videos!! Give my congratulations to your husband Brooks on the Dodgers Big Win!! I’m sure he’s thrilled!!! 😊
I love it all but favorite is green dress and sweater, old car. Thrift a full denim outfit. And yes open a poshmark!!
I love the sweater. Looks great on you
I think that sweater looks really cute on you!
the tray would be cute propped up on a shelf too!
Wedding dress vibes are just so happy it’s like how can you not purchase it?
I know it’s not your usual style but the Madewell sweater looks fab on you. Maybe you could dye the pink dress as it’s lovely except for the colour. Could you tie the Nancy Drew dress at the back maybe? You look great in the black floral 😀
I think the sweater actually looks really good on you and I feel like it complements you Michel 💖
You should definitely KEEP that sweater!!! It looks SO CUTE on you! Probably one of my favorite things you've ever thrifted and worn. KEEP IT! ;)
I really liked the sweater! I know it's kinda wild, but it would be perfect in a mountain cabin with hot chocolate lol
Sweater us adorable! black dress is second favorite and be worn with black turtle neck and boots for California fall.
I really like the sweater on you!!!
Hey Michel! You could try tying the green dress in the back since the string is long & that way it will flatter the waist without the maternity vibe. Just a thought!
