    When you say "you just click here" or "hover here" without having folks know where the heck the cursor is. There is a cursor highlighter that would make this much more valuable- but it's wonderful you spending your own time to help people.

      I concur. Suggest make the cursor appear larger so one can see more easily where it is. Thx

      @@innocentlife2346 You can slow down the speed easily, just click the Settings button at bottom right on the video, select Playback Speed, & slow it down. I'd rather it be faster, to save time...sometimes I speed up or slow down videos to suit me.

    I wish I could change the COLOR of the folders. That way, instead of reading the names on dozens of folders, if there's a few folders I'm using constantly I could just, bam, go right for "purple folder." I mean, think about it...in real life people use color-coded folders all the time (blue for criminal files, red for family law, green for oil and gas rights, regular yellow for most civil files, etc) but with these virtual files, there is ONLY ONE COLOR.

    I am just starting to watch this because I keep getting notified if I want to upgrade to Windows 11. I just want to know if I have to use Edge or if I can keep using my Chrome browser? That is the main reason I haven't switched yet. I really like Chrome and have so many tabs saved and don't want to lose them. I also wondered if you can switch back and forth between 10 and 11.

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 Год назад

      Microsoft wants to force everyone to use Microsoft Edge. You aren't required to use it, but MS is heavy handed with this and will try to change your default web browser to MS Edge.
      A Windows upgrade shouldn't modify your personal files or programs, but its always a smart idea to have a backup. I suggest signing into a Google account to save your bookmarks and saved passwords to your Google account. You can also export bookmarks to a file and keep them in a safe space (like Google Drive or flash drive) and you can then restore them in case your bookmarks get wiped for some reason.
      It is possible to have 2 Windows installations on a computer. This is known as a multi-boot system. I don't really recommend doing this if you aren't tech savvy as it is very easy to accidentally delete the wrong partition and loose all your data. If you really want a multi-boot system, you can probably take your PC to a reputable PC repair shop and ask them to install a second operating system. I believe Windows gives you about 7 - 11 days to downgrade back to the previous Windows install, but I wouldn't count on it.

    I used to download cursors from the Internet onto my PC. I would then open my File Explorer and find the downloaded file in the Downloads section. When I double-clicked it, a special application would launch, allowing me to crop the cursor to the desired size for my Roblox gameplay. However, lately, whenever I attempt to open the cursor file, my printer launches instead and I don't know what caused this change. Is there a way to get back the editing application that I originally had?

      The keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+P works on most programs that support printing and will bring up a print preview/print settings menu. Alternatively, most programs have a print option somewhere on the program or menu. It varies between programs.

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 8 месяцев назад +1

      Its up to you. I would go for a local user account. The thing is that Microsoft is forcing people onto an online account that provides no real benefit. In a cynical take, its just Microsoft's way of forcing you to do things they want.

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 8 месяцев назад

      @@slimoliveI think the easiest way is to put in a bogus email address and password when it asks you to login with your MS account. After 2 or 3 tries, it will tell you something when wrong and will give you the option to create a local user account. Again, going back to the cynicism, Microsoft is hellbent on forcing people to use an online account so they don't make it easy to create a local user account.

    It would be great if you could move the task bar left, right, or center. 🙂

    Thank You!!!!! I'm old school and this video really help me to navigate windows 11 for classes I have to take. The default settings was causing me to only see part of my tests questions so even though I knew the answers I chose wrong on purpose because I couldn't see the other options and didn't know how to adjust it. I do now 🥳❤❤❤

    The quality of life changes are all great, only thing I don't like so far (probably because I haven't figured it out yet) is how I can't drag my left monitors taskbar to the Right side vertically. And on my Right monitor, drag it to the left vertically as well. I've always had that set up, so the bars are near each other and out of the way because I use to accidentally open hidden taskbar when I played games in windowed mode.

    Love this video. I got this computer for Christmas. I usually have a mac but my girlfriend knew I like watching and streaming on my ipad but thought it just the pure basic so this windows world is new to me. Okay, I can't find for the life of me how to take a screen shot and save it on my desk top. I was fooling around with the buttons onto and it gave me this submenu but when I take the snippet where does it go? I want it to save o my computer and I don't know how, can you help please

      (7 months later. But maybe someone else will need it)
      Windows Key (similar to Command key) & Print Screen key at the same time. It'll go to your Pictures folder.
      There may also be a built-in program/application called "Snipping Tool" or "Snip & Sketch" if you prefer using a program or specifying the area you want to copy.
