Purchased/downloaded yesterday, and the 4th dial stack on page 1 of the Logic Pro SD+ Main profile is missing the Track/Select control that's present on pages 2 and 3 of the same profile. A copy and paste fixes this, but it definitely tripped me up for a few moments. I've had my SD+ for 2 days and I'm excited to use this with Logic Pro, especially the knobs for real-time automation adjustments. THANK YOU!
Got this yesterday and got straight to personalising a custom layout. 9/10….i would give it a 10/10 but the “track volume fader” only controls instrument tracks but not audio tracks.
Actually it the Selected Track Fader Knob Can Control any Selected Instrument/Audio Track As long as you are in the right Channel Bank. Mackie Protocol works in 8 Tracks per bank. If you move your track to the next 8 tracks in your Mix make sure to use also the Bank Navigator.
@@arnelbarbarona2823 it’s good that we can control things this was too and that is a good alternative but a perfect scenario would be that the track volume fade (paired with the master volume fader) works on my audio tracks for Logic Pro x. The master volume fader works, it’s just that the track volume only works on the instrument tracks and not the audio one, for me.
Question? I run Logic Pro X and Studio One 5 (I will be upgrading to 6 when you read this). Can I have both on this unit, or do I need to get separate ones or a product that I can use between both? Would like to know.
this cool but man id rather use my mouse this is too much id have to worry about if I'm in current window or if my mouse is over something. the indicators that let you know what you control is all over the place. this really didn't make things simple at all. in fact just gives you more of a headache. as if you gotta work a daw within your daw. there is too much to worry about and customizing it would just be too much. unless someone already has a layout that is optimized for simplicity. im not getting this if have to work this hard to make it simple and easy.
The knobs can be adjusted to your preferences. There is a VARIABLE STEP SIZE. Set Step to 0 to get a behavior where you make minor adjustments when you turn the dial slowly and get accelerated adjustments when you turn the dial quickly. or you could set a higher number for fix Steps.
Within Logic Pro, we employ the Mouse Plugin to manipulate VST parameters featured in the Custom profile. Our Mouse Plugin enables the adjustment of one parameter at a time by tracking mouse coordinates. Nevertheless, an alternative option to enhance control is to explore the use of the MIDI plugin. In this scenario, you can personally assign MIDI controls by incorporating a MIDI Dial action and choosing a MIDI CC of your preference. Subsequently, you can employ MIDI Learn to establish a connection between the desired VST parameter and the MIDI control. It's important to note that this setup necessitates manual configuration, as it is not included in our pre-configured profile.
ill assume you could set the deck up to have custom profile for different plugins? how about sending MIDI CC from the dials? could it be used as a controller to a hardware synths parameters for example? and can two knobs transmit at the same time, or is it just one at a time
If you have a method to establish virtual MIDI ports that link to a hardware synthesizer connected to a computer, you can take control of that hardware synthesizer. The Streamdeck Plus device lacks a physical MIDI output port and requires connection to a computer for operation. It's dependent on the computer it's connected to. If you can establish a connection between the hardware synthesizer and the computer, you can utilize a third-party application like Bome MIDI Translator Pro. This application can be used to route the virtual MIDI signals from the Streamdeck to the connected hardware synthesizer.
@@arnelbarbarona2823 cool thanks. Ya I’ve got all that, a MOTU Microlite to route midi to hardware, and Midipipe to route midi virtually. @@arnelbarbarona2823 simultaneously? In the vid you manipulate one dial at a time. Will it transmit data from all 4 at the same time (not that I have 4 hands 🤗) or is it restricted to operating/sending data from one at a time.
@@TRaddcliff When discussing the Fader Controller within MIDI Controls, it's possible to manage up to four dials concurrently. Additionally, if desired, MIDI CC values can be assigned to these dials, allowing for simultaneous control of the quartet. Apart from the MIDI CC option, there's also a proprietary plugin that we use. This plugin facilitates the manipulation of parameters associated with the location of the mouse cursor. As a result, it permits the adjustment of individual dials, one at a time, utilizing the mouse's coordinates.

Frankly, a little disappointed. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this, based on the Cubase one you’re selling. Where is the third-party plugin suppport? By this I mean: in the Cubase version you have these great VST “workspace pages”. But where are the Logic AU equivalents? I don’t see any way to call up AU plugins or effects. Or am I missing something? The Cubase one looks way better to me.Why can’t you make the Logic one like the Cubase version? I took a look at the XL version. It looks fantastic, and I’m impressed with the myriad of functions. I own an XL., but, again, I cannot see any way to eg: “Open AU Software Instrument”, or: “Open AU FX plugin”. The whole reason for my buying this would be comprehensive support for third-party control of AU ( like Kontakt, Spitfire, VSL, SINE ) and FX plugins. I don’t need transport or fader/pot controls etc. as I have hardware for that. I can’t see anyway of calling up AU instruments and FX like in Cubase. Why? This doesn’t look anywhere near as customisable as the Cubase version. I love the features of that platform and was hoping for the same in Logic. I hope you can incorporate this, because, right now, I won’t buy it without the aforemantioned feature. Thank you. 🙏
Absolute genius at an affordable price! Excellent walkthrough and tutorial! Thank you!

I want to control my SENDS with the dials ....is that possible?.....
Hello,
There is no dedicated send dials but we have a custom buttons and dial controls that you can assign for your particular send coordinate.
@@arnelbarbarona9844 Hmmm, I'm looking something more like Select track - and then my for dial are my SENDS, That will be great!
Can I assign SENDS?????
can you program a button to insert a certain plugin onto a selected track?
We don't have that feature in our Logic Pro pack. We do have it in our Cubase, Ableton, And Studio one pack though.
We don't have the Ability to search a contextual Plugin name when loading an AU or vst so it is hard to automate....

What version of Logic was it built on?
It is built upon the Logic Pro V10.7.7
Is it possible to cut samples like NI Maschine does with knobs? First knob cuts front and second knob cuts end.
