RIP Jimmy Greenspoon...the flavorful Hammond B3 Organ player and keyboard player who flavored all of 3DN's early hits! He was with the band for 46 years, since the beginning, until taking a break to handle his melanoma cancer, that eventually took his life on Wed, March 11th, 2015! God have mercy! I can't believe this isn't all over the news channels!!!
they only report on Justin Bieber sightings...Jimmy was a monster of a talent. His keyboard figured into half of their sound. He will be missed. Condolences to family and friends
Jimmy was the first of the instrumentalists to join the band that Danny, Cory, and Chuck were putting together. He had started training as a classical pianist when he was a kid. I think that Joe, the original bassist, also has passed, and Cory Wells more recently.
Yeah blue eyed soul, I saw him and them 35 years ago or so now... About the news channels, well today, there isn't news as it should be. it is all propoganda machines...
What a voice!! No wonder I had such a crush on Chuck Negron, when I was in high school--I still do, every time I listen to this song or watch this video.😊💒
I use to love this song when I was younger. It sends important messages I found the song last night by watching The movie "The Zodiac ".This song was perfect for the movie.
I remember this song of common human decency when I was a teenager growing up in New York, but now, more than ever, in present day July 2022, this tune has more relevance and meaning than ever. To show more tenderness & compassion, forgiveness & tolerance…as John Lennon tried to teach us…imagine…
they were so ahead of their time! their Harmonys were so spot on,their lyrics, their timing unforgettable!! they are timeless hats off to Chuck Negron,Corey Wells RIP: an Danny Hutton what a time & what a run they had! I hope Eli,s is still coming?.....
Ryan Wessel I'm in a production of HAIR right now and it's the 50th anniversary... Still so much is the same, but under different guises... Hopefully, the audience who see the show will have something stir deep within them. Hopefully, some change, albeit small, will arise from our show.
Except for the destruction of the 1957 DeSoto which is now a classic and rare car! Back in 1969, one could probably have one for $25 just to get the finned monster off of someone's land.
@@johnvinga5446 Most of those cars are classics now and would bring good money. My first car was a '63 Chevy I paid $75 for and it ran pretty good. You can't touch a rusty junkyard hulk of one for less than several hundred dollars today. LOL BTW, great classic song, I listened to a lot of 3 Dog Night when I was in my early teens. :-)
Chuck Negron - AMAZING vocalist! I remember hearing this song when I was a kid of only 8 yrs [my mom loved this group - played them constantly!] - still gives me chills when I hear it! This is the best version too...
This was my theme song for this friend I made, he was from China, his dad was a diplomat. This kid was 15 and he was treated poorly in our local school. I got to know him well and he was facinating. The bullys would never know that.
This song is so perfect for 2019. How is it that we ended up so divided when there are actually only one race, Human? How did my generation manage to lose their way? 😞 I am an aging Hippie wondering what planet I am on
@Onion Face In the past, we had learned to look beyond the differences an came together! Now we are so divided that I am afraid that society is in jeopardy!
First band I EVER saw in concert. I think I was 13 or 14 yrs old. Still remember how incredible they were. I just hit 60 yrs old. This song is as important now as it was then, if not more so. The hardest part about getting older is losing so many people you love.
First band I ever saw in concert, too. August 1970. I was about two months from my 13th birthday. They were riding high that summer, with "Mama Told Me Not To Come" reaching #1.
I am reading Chuck's book right now, and what is really amazing is how great this band sang and played - while being so STONED, and so overworked by their handlers.
Awesome song in 69 and I remember it well....so much going on that year with moon landing , Vietnam war, and all of the activity in my native San Francisco growing up.
My 1st concert @ age 11, fantastic band & love Chuck Negron’s lead vocal , think he was an all star basketball standout in college? They harmonized so well together. What’s not to love? 💗💗💗
This song is a great song it should bring people together..yes this song was written many many years ago...but it still has a lot of meaning behind it...we're living in a very very dangerious world and very evil...we need to start helping one another out Jesus said love your neighbor as you would love your self..WE need to stand with Jesus..we're living in the last days..the Lord is on his way..stand strong stand up and stand for one another..!
I'm such a big fan of TDN. These guys were great in there time and their music captures a whole era and a generation transition from the Vietnam war late 60s to the early and mid 70s. I love all the guys but really liked Cory Wells, his voice, his energy, his look and his attitude are so inspiring and a pleasure to watch. His smile shows he is doing exactly what he was meant to and is living his dream. Thank God for bands and music like Three Dog
No one has to Guess who the Guess Who is, was, and their impact on music. Thank goodness for them and other groups from that era. I remember and thank god will never forget, I cant. I listen to them and others everyday on their albums and records.
oh yeah morrison had pipes- and dennis wilson had a beauty very-- the problem with both is hard to get a track without booze - serious booze 00==oh right- that was their dads fault
Pardon..but Chuck Negron had a very pesky heroin addiction...Beautiful voice...& man...Addiction sucks, but it's a disease...Praise the man...please do not tear him down.
I read his biography and it's quite a story. It sticks with me. Especially how his son was an addict and Chuck and his wife were so guilty because she was hitting up heroin during her pregnancy.

Justin fuckin quiefer
Jimmy was the first of the instrumentalists to join the band that Danny, Cory, and Chuck were putting together. He had started training as a classical pianist when he was a kid. I think that Joe, the original bassist, also has passed, and Cory Wells more recently.
Yeah blue eyed soul, I saw him and them 35 years ago or so now... About the news channels, well today, there isn't news as it should be. it is all propoganda machines...
I Love Hammond B3 pipe organs....Miss Gregg Allman,too.......
What a voice!! No wonder I had such a crush on Chuck Negron, when I was in high school--I still do, every time I listen to this song or watch this video.😊💒
Maybe the best rock and roll group ever
One of the first great bands I saw live! Still does it!!
I use to love this song when I was younger. It sends important messages
I found the song last night by watching The movie "The Zodiac ".This song was perfect for the movie.
Great song. I forgot all about it. Thanks for posting. Peace and love were the answers all along. Hate never made any country great.
I remember this song of common human decency when I was a teenager growing up in New York, but now, more than ever, in present day July 2022, this tune has more relevance and meaning than ever. To show more tenderness & compassion, forgiveness & tolerance…as John Lennon tried to teach us…imagine…
👍🗽
they were so ahead of their time! their Harmonys were so spot on,their lyrics, their timing unforgettable!! they are timeless hats off to Chuck Negron,Corey Wells RIP: an Danny Hutton what a time & what a run they had! I hope Eli,s is still coming?.....
He ran out of semen
What an incredible vocal performance by Chuck!
They all had great voices. I saw them several times. Loved them.
That opening scene is deep :\ and still relevant today....
Great Song..Great Group...Love all there songs...
Chuck Negron and I started taking on Facebook years ago and I always foung him to be pleasant. Just glad that he revived his career a bit.
Saw them in 1971 at Tampa Stadium, with Buddy Miles and Humble Pie opening. Awesome!
I was there for that concert. They were incredible!
My favorite song from this group. it takes me back to High School 1969/71
Thats the wonderful thing about music Randy, it doesn't know race, creed or gender, it just brings us together.....peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
Maybe God made us different colors to teach us all to get along...
RIP Cory Wells.
This song resonates in today’s world and more than ever it is needed.
Consider the entire body of work by Three Dog Night. These go beyond masterpieces, these are timeless parables, that transcend individual beliefs.
Wow, what a terrific first concert!
I am reading Chuck's book right now, and what is really amazing is how great this band sang and played - while being so STONED, and so overworked by their handlers.
Yes! The best band ever. All good looking. Mmm love them and I saw them. I was 10 in 1967 I fell in love now almost 65.
Awesome song in 69 and I remember it well....so much going on that year with moon landing , Vietnam war, and all of the activity in my native San Francisco growing up.
It’s a damn miracle that chuck is alive to this day.....
My 1st concert @ age 11, fantastic band & love Chuck Negron’s lead vocal , think he was an all star basketball standout in college? They harmonized so well together. What’s not to love?
💗💗💗
Amazing how some things just never bloody change.
We seem to have stopped asking this question.
No one has to Guess who the Guess Who is, was, and their impact on music. Thank goodness for them and other groups from that era. I remember and thank god will never forget, I cant. I listen to them and others everyday on their albums and records.
That song has a message which
is still relevant.
Chuck Negron, gorgeous voice, gorgeous guy :)
THAT VOICE WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATS-- LIKE JIM MORRISON
Morrison, not much of a singer. Chuck, however, is quite worthy with that oh so fine voice.
oh yeah morrison had pipes- and dennis wilson had a beauty very-- the problem with both is hard to get a track without booze - serious booze 00==oh right- that was their dads fault
Pardon..but Chuck Negron had a very pesky heroin addiction...Beautiful voice...& man...Addiction sucks, but it's a disease...Praise the man...please do not tear him down.
Rebecca Becker Pesky ? Lol, Right.
Always adored THREE DOG NIGHT
My mom and dad listened to an AM rock station over and over I was born in 1962 and when I heard this Three Dog Night song played I was hooked
This song speaks what the world needs today .....
made me realize im not a metalhead ...back in the day. Nice to understand the Words too!
I read his biography and it's quite a story. It sticks with me. Especially how his son was an addict and Chuck and his wife were so guilty because she was hitting up heroin during her pregnancy.
Everything comes full circle again. I'm so happy I lived through that era. There's tears in my eyes.
who is listening in 2019? song just popped into my mind.
summer day Mee too! Same thing happened to me tonight!
