    • @jwa718
      @jwa718 3 года назад

      We have to remember the recorded version couldn't sound so great if its not present in the performer. The recording only captures what's actually happening albeit somewhat "pure" in that there's noting but voice and instruments to tape. If they suck live not much can really make it better and we still call it music.

    Lots of bands today use their guitars as props. They use beautiful instruments but can hardly play them. Not here. These guys are for real.

      I agree with that that Jimmy B. Just look at there pedals boards. Back then they used a distortion box, wah-wah pedal or nothing at all! Bands today in concert are trying to create the sound from the studio. To me I rather listen to them raw than replicate the studio sound!

    I took a flute course in college as an elective and my professor taught me how to play that flute part. I still play it now and then. Bill Hailey of "Rock Around the Clock" fame used to live two blocks from my folks house.

    So much made of Burton's vocals being underrated, and while I agree that he's an incredible Vocalist, I still think that Cummings' Keyboard Playing is what is most overlooked about this Man. Along with Nicky Hopkins, him and Burton Cummings are the 2 Greatest Piano Players in Rock N Roll. RIP Nicky.

    A friend of mine used to hang out with Burton Cummings in Winnipeg when they were just starting out. Burton used to ask him for rides downtown because nobody had a car back then. He said they were incredibly serious musicians, they studied and practiced intensely and took their craft to another level.

    A lot of comments about Burton Cummings and his amazing vocals. Rightfully so. But can we just all appreciate what Randy Bachman brought to the table? Fantastic guitarist and helluva writer too! He and his son’s show on the Beatles channel on SiriusXM is really good and very informative. I highly recommend listening to it.

    That just totally blew me away! Haven't seen anything from the 70s from the CBC IN AGES! This was when the CBC had entertaining programs! So awesome!! Really takes me back to my childhood! Such wonderful memories!💖LOVE THIS! I'm a fan of both of these guys! I had the opportunity to see Burton Cummings at K-days in Edmonton in 1996! I remember that like it was yesterday! LOVE Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap show on CBC radio! He has such a wealth of information about popular music and the artists associated with that music! Thanks so much for posting this terrific video!🙂👍
