The Gerber box cutter looks pretty nice; I'd also recommend checking out the Milwaukee Fastback.
I am kind of a watch guy, but since I'm also into running and health stats, I'm always wearing one of my Garmins (my nice, mechanical and automatic watches don't get worn nearly enough).
It's a good idea to keep your ears warm on cold days too to improve hearing. It's ok to tie a bra round your head with the cups covering your ears. Cheap and effective. Big ears people should use DD bras
EDC!?!? My phone.😂 I'm a musicophile. I plead the 5th as far as 2A is concerned. 😂 . My watch us the Islander/CAM collaboration at the moment. My pinkie ring is my family crest. Thanks for your content. Take care, Sir.
FIIO BTR7 and IEMs or AirPods or Shockz for Audio. Or M11 DAP
Lots of EDC kit in modular packs for grab n go depending on where I am going and what I'm doing.
Always an iPhone/watch and USA made knife. I have about 50 to choose from each day.
@@mattmiller4978 I was looking at another crkt today!
What iems? I've been using emotiva gr1 with my btr7 thinking about iems.
@@spaminatord I have 3 sets nothing high end yet as I just started. They are $25 KZ's on Amazon with a few thousand good reviews. They are ok but need eq. Then Dunu Titan 2's bc they came with good kit. Finally Fiio FH3 which are multi driver and my faves so far.
IEMs are like an off button to the world. I have 4 kids and when I need a break, I can't hear the baby crying in front of my face. I also have been falling to sleep with them on.
It's a whole other audio world with IEMs, tips, cables, etc, but they are perfect for EDC.
My Buck 110 has been on my side for 58+ years, The only time it wasn’t on my side is when I was in school…
My audio EDC... Hidizs S9 PRO, IEM, 3.5 -> 1/4" adapter (in IEM case), USB-C female -> USB-A male adapter, USB-C power/data spliter, SoundPeat TW earbuds.
Hello, Bob! Yes, I have great EDC!! Many are the items you showed. Great idea for the make-up brush!! I'll use one of my wife's new ones, lol. Loved the video and your channel!!! James
@@jamesminotto8036 Thanks, James! I'm glad you're here!
My 'everyday carry' has three IEMs, two dongle dacs of high quality, and a small dap that can run the dongles, plus assorted ear tips, 2gb of music, etc. That's it. I am an audiophile, not a bushman. BTW, that's only technically a dac.😂 Your list is stuff to use at home, not to carry.
Ah. I see you already have Koss headphones. Get the Koss kcs75. It has a big soundstage. It is cheap. At 64 Ohm, the kcs75 works great with tube amplifiers. The 60 Ohm really removes the tube hiss.
Edc! Love this channel! the EDC flashlight! 🔦 Freak
WTF?
I know... right?
My everyday carry: receipts from HEB, tiny plastic baby from kids birthday party, Topo Chico bottle cap, lint. (Top that, GI Joe!) Oops, almost forgot single airpod. (Hey, that's where it was)!
"Do you have everything it takes to be an audiophile?"
Incredible good looks. Check.
Intelligence and flawless taste. Check.
The hearing of an Eagle Owl. Check.
Wisdom beyond my years. Check.
The ability to always be right, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Double check.
A nice kilt for special occasions. Check.
A wife who is willing to put up with all the insanity. Triple Check.
If you're over 50, I'll wager your "eagle owl" hearing is not as good as your wife's, but at least she tolerates your audioholic tendencies (like mine does). Now the insufferable "never wrong" thing, that she may grow weary of!
You rumbled me. My hearing is like an Eagle Owl, but one wearing a nice pair of owl noise cancelling headphones blaring Hawkwind ( the owls favourite band) at ridiculous volume.
As for being right all the time, my wife saw through that many years ago and now just shakes her head and sighs.
@@jimfarrell4635 Well I'm glad I decided to poke fun at your funny comment, since I found out about a band I've never heard of. Thanks! My wife wipes the floor with me hiking in nature, hearing soft, high pitched bird songs that I have no chance of hearing due to hearing loss. That, along with reminding me that a kilt should stay as far away as possible from my skinny legs.
@@jimfarrell4635 Going to school in the 80's a friend of mine turned me on to Hawkwind by giving me a cassette tape recorded, with Captain Beyond on one side and Hawkwind on the other. For a couple of years I thought "Captain Beyond and Hawkwind" was a band.
@@eddentsWell if I have introduced someone to Hawkwind my work here is done.
I use a Samsung S10+. It has a real headphone jack! No $30 Apple addons needed.
Looks like I'm not an audiophile since i don't listen to vinyl. I only stick with streaming so my EDC is almost nil.😊
Oh, man... at least get yourself a little flashlight. 🔦 Thanks for watching!
I only listen to CD's.
iPhone = watch, flashlight, timer, note paper, mobile music player, google maps (to find record stores), discogs catalog, angle camera to identify pre-amp in/outputs, TT speed checker, level. Re pens, Muji is great, but rather use (mechanical) pencil or pigment ink, everything else smears. Cotton gloves for handling tubes (audio, flash photography). For tools, I'm close to the garage where the workshop is. Re equipment rack (also record/CD/tape shelves), don't buy, make it yourself. Not that hard, and it is to my specifications. My record brush is similar to yours, about 40 years old, still works just fine. From Zihlman in Basel, Switzerland, now defunct. Bought some Revox headphones there as a teen.
For travel, my kit is iPhone with Flacbox player, external dongle DAC (overpriced Dragonfly cobalt), Etymotics ER4 IEM [great isolation], USB charging cables. All I need for CA to Europe and back.
What is this magical watch you speak of??? Thanks for the notes! You've got it pretty dialed in!
Great video subject. I'm on holibobs in France right now and I'm taking my wife straight to the Monoprix (supermarket) make-up counter to get me some make-up brushes while I wait in the car. And... To be styluses, or styli? That is the question.
Happy hunting!!!
Very proud to not be an audiophile. I just like to listen to music. Some of those items are useful though. Needing so much crap for records is why keep them in the sleeve and just listen to my CDs most of the time.
@@AG-bp3ll you're an audiophile... you just don't know it yet!

@@ianyates7742 that's cool!
add a few bubble levels, and a laser measurer, and a stud finder and magic eraser and blu tac.
I forgot about the blu tac!!!!
Since I have yet to hear ANYTHING resembling resonance coming thru my speakers when I play my records, I keep my record cover down when I play them. I have plenty of cat dander and dust flying thru the air around my turntable so that cover stays on to keep that stuff off my records.
VWestlife did a video about that. He measured that it is best to take it off or put it down. When it is open it introduces vibrations. So you're good to go! 👍
@@bgroovin1343 good compromise! I hate pet hair!
The only thing I carry everywhere is my big ears.
Awwwwwww....
In keeping with what always seems to be several comments on your vids, I guess because u say entertaining things as the vid goes along, I'd say that to be a golden ear card carrying audiophile, besides those 2 cats, member ship on 5+ hifi enthusiast FB pages are required, as well as 10 you tube hifi related channels followed. Extra star stamped for attending multiple shows. Someone market the card; I'll buy (well maybe not-----) edit--lol; I keep the stickers on my caps, too.
Certifiable carryologist here..... Titanium everything, including the new 5" titanium plate in my arm.
I use the iFi Go-Link for a small dongle DAC-Amp for $60. It has more power and better sound than the standard Google Pixel dongle.
My "EDC" includes a Gryphon Diablo 300 plus add record outer and inter sleeve covers.
I don't know man...an analog turntable and a digital watch? It's like the irresistible force and the immovable object colliding...
Audio Quest anti-static brush for the record and a small make up brush for the stylus. Always a knife and watch.
I definitely use soft gloves when i handle my records so much easier than try to manuver the record to keep your fingers off them.
My every day carry knife is from Ravencrest powerful spring and many different size options highly recommend. Good content, keep it up.
Nice comedy post. LOL.

@@UnitedStatesofAnalog Why do people constantly put words in my mouth? I never once said we were fighting. I simply see the grave mistakes you make, sound wise, and point them out to you. What you do with that info is up to you. You'll NEVER get better sound by adding cheap electronics to the signal path. Music carries emotional messages. I define better sound as more clearly allowing you to hear the emotional messages in music. YMMV.

That's the ugliest Casio ever.
The Discogs app needs to be EDC.
Everyday carry- I love it. You definitely sound like a Texan, Bob. I think you need to start the discussion with the audio equivalent of calibers- I don't know what that would be, though. If SureFire made audio accessories I'd be all in. Maybe they can make Sonic Defenders that double as IEM's.
Would love to have a Sig Sauer Walkman!
My EDC is a Gerber multi-tool, slim card wallet, Casio G Shock

@@carminedesanto6746 can a weight damage motor of a turntable???
@@UnitedStatesofAnalog possibly..the added vertical mass can add additional strain to the drive system ..as it was to spin the platter at a precise speed…but that’s a VERY valid question?
Good stuff!
EDC for me includes Samsung R175 iem for audio books and hands free phone calls on walks. The charger case is 3" long and barely noticeable in tbe pocker. A Kershaw Gry 1812 with deep pocket clip. And in the speaker cable toolbox, shrink tubes of all diameters and Bic lighter.

I have one of those usb powered flexi lights over one of my tables and noticed that those generic carbon fiber brushes smear the dust around, no matter how good the spin, angle, scoop and lift technique is.
