When I hired you, I suspected you were gonna be a great employee. What I couldn't have anticipated was that you would become such a good friend. (crying intensifies)
I was crying too ! :'(

Ağlama falan değil yok oldum

I can say with no doubt this falls in one of the GREATEST shows ever created, a true masterpiece
ashy sam its still my favorite show. The only tv show that made me cry. I just love every piece of it!
Goodbye John...
And so underrated
this , prison break, two and a half men , blacklist, billions all these are epic
Can u please explain why
"Sometimes one life, if it's the right life, is enough" Oh the feels... Reese and Finch's friendship is so beautiful
Marjo S and you just know that’s a reference to John talking about Carter in season 3
The baby getting a hold of the smog grenade. Finch was not happy
Machine/Root: "We helped some people, didn't we?"
Finch: "Yes. Yes, we did".
Me: 😥
😥😢
OMG that uncertainty in her voice and expresion on face made me cry 😢
That smile of absolute happiness when he said yes
And it ties in well with the rest of the episode. "Everyone dies alone. But, if you mean something to someone, if you HELP SOMEONE, loved someone, if even a single person remembers you, then maybe... you never really die at all."
The machine asking if they helped some people. While she's dying. Facing her end. Wanting to be reassured that she won't really die at all. Confirming that John won't really die at all either.
"We helped some people, didn't we?"
"Yes. Yes, we did."
3:48
Last smile of John. Not many he had in his life.
skywillfindyou this was my favorite moment of the entire episode. The serenity in his smile gave me chills.
i feel you
Виталий dammn i love this show . many great sad part . john
I don"t remember which but one episode he had a full bright smile, was epic, he only had 1 or 2 like that in the entire serie xd
I'm sure John's character was the best portrayed one in the entire series. every single soldier who served their country (whether for good or bad reasons is another topic), every single fighter who fought for things that very few would fight for, every single family man/woman who struggled a lot to build their family and raise their kids would definitely relate to him so much so that they would feel so delighted to have seen something special. Hats off to the entire team, this is once in a life time TV show for me
Five years later and it's still heartbreaking.
Some day will get a spin off
@@denissemc1 without John...
I hope so but I'm not sure.
6 years later. Still heartbreaking
@@sirtouha7297 I miss them... One of the best cast ever.
@@Eurok666 never seen Such character development and depth before. The only show other than POI to have great Character depth is Breaking Bad. Hope you watched it too
John was always living on borrowed time.
grandpagrinch ever since he joined that taskforce within the cia
They’ve said it since the beginning. A small, childhood part of me wished he’d also have a happy ending. I hoped all of the team would, god knows they deserved it, but a larger part of me knew better. This story was to tell us the harsh truth, that’s reality isn’t what it seems and life doesn’t always have that perfect happy ending. It’s stayed true to that since the beginning. Despite my relentless, anguishing tears, I can respect that.
am glad he died happy. he choose to die doing something he love rather than live a long life in misery
no, he was always a soldier. its in his dna to self sacrifice for the greater good.
So sad :'(
The whole cast of the show was great, Caviezel and Emerson were always standouts to me. It was so great to see their great interaction for the last time.
200% agreed. both these men carried the entire show right from the Pilot till Return 0
Don't forget Bear.
@@GOWRISANKARAS for me they were best but they didn't carried the entire show...Other actors were great too
👍👋👏👏👏💛
Don't forget about Elias.
Told you, pay you back all at once, just the way I like it.
When John said that my heart just plunged.
You aren't supposed to see him die, that's what a good story is about
At 75 I have seen 70 yrs of good and bad tv!! This POI series was the best!!Next would be West Wing!! Abuela Lupe 😏.
Just watched the last episode of Person of Interest. A bit late, I know.
I can’t stop crying.
Chloe Roets This scene right here just keeps breaking
Chloe Roets never too late to watch a masterpiece.
Definitely not the last time you're watching this.
I just wanted to listen to that piano music but finally came on that video... It took me many months to recover (yeah it looks stupid, these are fake persons) I thought but pain is still there. Losing a great show who hadn't the right ending it deserved ( many budget cuts that made it a bit cheap on some CGI )
Chloe Roets I don’t watch a whole lot of mainstream tv station shows , nbc, abc, cbs, etc.....but this show... man, awesome stuff. Always get a tear in my eye watching the end
Certainly one of the most sadness moment of this great show... :(
yes indeed. This one with the death of Carter and Root and the sacrife of Shaw (even though she didn't die). It's so smart to use Root as the voice and embodiment of the machine to give it the human element. I'm gonna miss the show. They understand there characters so well. Great action, great story and as I already said great characters. For me the best show that as ever existed. Almost cried (which says a lot coming from me :P)
Exactly what I think... Best show that as ever existed yes!! I'm gonna miss it too ! :(
I actually cried. The soundtrack was perfect
+Bear I'm not ashamed to say I did too. This show had a bitter sweet ending but it was a very powerful and moving one
POI - Best Of they did say that a spin off was completely possible, maybe with Logan pierces crew in not new york
to understand his sacrifice, we need to understand John's character
through entire series (or just this one episode explain it all)
- John's father died SACRIFICE himself to save 5 people from fire. People called him a HERO, John inspired by him
- John join army, maybe to understand his father's heroism
- while in the army, he realize something that he still alive because he has no LOVED ONES (his mother and sister died in car accident), while his comrade died because they were afraid to lose their loved ones, he
considered them as a weakness, this is what made him decided to leave Jessica
- John joins CIA, he protect his country ironically by kills many people even people from his country
- Jessica is dead while he was away and it was TOO LATE TO SAVE her
- Being lost for so long with no purpose, at first episode, John was about to kill himself by jumping from a bridge (Carter was deduct this) John considered himself dead at this point
- Finch give John a PURPOSE to live again, second CHANCE to saves other people
- at this very moment, because of The Machine, John HAVE A CHANCE TO SAVE Finch, this is his PURPOSE, saving people, even by SACRIFICE himself. Finally he get to be what his father were, a HERO. And to him, Finch still have purpose in this life, Finch still have his LOVED ONES and maybe to prevent another machine to appear
u missed one part his own agency decided to kill him
Another thing to cry 😖
@@eccorazford8114 why is that?
@@princeofdarknessxyz1.... There are more than one reason to do that... Maybe they had no more uses for him or he is liability for them... John came across high level confidential information while working for CIA.
I disagree with you on Mr Reese leaving Jessica. He left her after 9/11 to rejoin the army and protect his country. When he met her again he found out that she was engaged and decided it was better that he left her life permanently. However when she called for help, he would have gone but was forced to go on one last mission. When he got back for her she was dead.
On her death and the final betrayal of his masters, he he lost all sense of purpose and turned to drink. I don't remember him going to throw himself from a bridge and anyway the lady at the homeless shelter had taken him under her wing which resulted in him drifting along until Harold found him.
Many shows which were cancelled often had disappointing endings, but this was an exception, fantastic endings, bittersweet but that's how good endings often are.
I'd argue the show had stopped in just the right spot, told its story in full at the close.
I cried from the moment when Finch told John he knew he was going to be a great employee but never anticipated what a great friend he would be to the very ending, and after that. I think I cried during everyone's except Roots death. And the only reason I didn't cry for her death was because I was so denial that she actually died and refused to accept her death as a real world thing. Up until the very end of the finale, I expected her to pop back up and to see that everything was a simulation, from Elias' death to John's death.
That’s the mark of a fantastic show.
I cried when the machine chose her voice because I just knew
I like that they left a way out for John. There is precedent in the show for surviving a gunshot and missile.
My stomach dropped when I realized Harold was on the wrong roof. Then again, if there was a way for John to go out, it was this.
This ending is better than GOT season 8 ending.
Speaking of GOT, Ramin Djawadi made the Original Soundtracks for both shows.
Any ending would be better than GOT ending. Don't even utter POI and GOT finales in the same sentence.
anything is better than GOT season 8 ending. or whole season 8
Umm this ending alone was better than the entirety of season 7 and 8 of GOT
Danny Henry so is a wet fart.
Almost cried when John was getting shot. He was bad a** & looked good all at the same time. I will miss this show so much. Wish another network could've picked it up
CBS is the worst thing ever happened to PoI. HBO would've done much better
You are so right
a black screen in the middle of a sentence lol
Almost cried? Man you have a stone heart. I cried like a fucking baby. Cradling my knees and all. Shit hit me hard
CBS is too busy with Magnum and Hawaii crap to care about it's viewers. How people can keep watching rehashed PC crap is insane.
I have watched this show now a total of 4 times, and despite knowing all the twists and turns, it still sucks me in and keeps me engaged every time. These moments get me 100%. I could never say I had a favorite show before I watched POI, and I wish that I knew about it sooner than I did.
This is one of the very few shows where none of the episodes felt like "filler". Every episode either pushed the narrative or characters forward. Sometimes in ways you didn't even know were connected at the time. Fantastic series.
Me too i just finished it for 5th time
Beautiful, yet heartbreaking at the same time. Intensely poignant. Choice of music is perfect.
The music probably makes at least half of the edge. Couldn't have been a better soundtrack.
I've watched so many different programmes, but POI is the most emotional show I've ever seen. Always wanted Harold to meet back up with Grace and for that to happen it made it complete. Love Mr Reese so much!
In no other show have I liked every single member of a core team. And yet I am so glad the finale was largely about Harold, John and The Machine. As it should be. Perfect. RIP John Reese, a hero in every sense of the word. 💔
Exactly, to end like how it all had started
Jesus, I didn't cry so much in a series finale since Breaking Bad. I love this show.
O Mestre Das Artes Místicas brother?
O Mestre Das Artes Místicas what about the season 8 finale of scrubs??
Me too dude me too
And once more Jim Caviezel plays the role of saviour of humanity who sacrifices himself for the rest of the world.
A true soldier role
STILL makes me cry 3 weeks later.................#ReeseLivesForeverInMyHeart
Same here! :(
And 3 years later...
4 years later....

Best TV series EVER. Best scene EVER . Best Finale EVER ! Miss this show so much ..:( #PoIFOREVER
dartomisCZ Person of interest will never be forgotten by me, so under rated in my opinion
+Helado actually yeah that's more appropriate XD
True a fantastic show but best ever wouldn't go that far I would rate Firefly over this for starters.
One of my all time favorite shows, I miss it! What a great cast!
This is the saddest moment of any show I've ever watched.
I cried so much, for this scene. Best TV series ever, Everyone dies alone...
But if you meant something to someone......
If you help someone
or if you loved someone, if even a single person remembers you, then may be you never really die
This show's character developments are amazing.Fusco,Shaw,Root not to mention about Finch and Reese.I'm very thankful to the writers for they showed us such a good show
I was extremely shocked by fuscos character arch. Went from crooked cop to a damn hero. Lol
@@Toni3Chill5 a closeted badass as well, never underestimate Fusco
Year : 2019 but i still love this show.
2020.. Still love this this show
This is where men cried
John a true soldier until the end, even when his country betrayed him he still did what was necessary to save those he cared for, and those who needed help anywhere or anytime.
I’ve loved this show since it’s first episode and I’ve cried, laughed, screamed and just felt ALIVE while watching it, but out of the entire series...this one scene caused me to feel a deep sense of loss that I’ll never forget.
This show changed my life and I will love it till my dying day ❤️.
I am watching it right now and cursing the producers for cutting it too soon..

I absolutely despise what they did to this masterpiece at the end

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." ~Jesus
Jim Caviezel is a devout Catholic. I 'm sure that's how he saw the ending.
Funny enough, Jim played Jesus
Also a lyric from the song Greater Love by Chris De Burgh
A show way ahead of its time.
beni bu kadar etkileyen bir yapım daha önce izlememiştim teşekkürler reese ve finch
This has got to be the saddest tv ending of all time, just finished it and I was crying hysterically for 25 minutes plus and I don’t cry often
If you don’t cry you might be heartless. This was one of the most brilliant shows and endings ever created. If you ever wanted to comfort hug a show it’s this one.
I never cry over any tv show. But this is the third time I'm watching this and I'm crying like a baby.
That Bunsen Burner theme is simply heartwrecking, as if the tension of the moment wasn't enough. It's just built to destroy you, their last conversation, Machine/Root touching his shoulder, the last smile. I don't think I've ever seen anything more emotional on screen.
Except that's Metamorphosis from the time John appears.😊
The most powerful and emotionally quenching series I’ve ever watched hands down. You compiled so many of the moments I was looking for in a beautifully artistic way. The series is beyond words and my actually *painful* waterfall of tears is my only way I could possibly begin to explain how amazing this series was. Throughout the entire series they’ve developed the story and character in such a precise and moving way. So many stories, so many laughs, so many tears. God, I had no clue what I was getting into when I first started this show. I feel so bittersweet having just finished the finale. It was such a good ending and I don’t think they could have changed any part of this and made it anymore of a masterpiece. A large part of me hoped all the characters would have their happy endings and live - and I suppose using the machines moving ideology they did just that, but another part of me knew it wouldn’t end like a fairy tale. That’s reality, and person of interest has always been a mirror of harsh truths. I suppose I’m writing this in a somber attempt to relinquish myself of the devastating realization that this is the end of their story. Honestly, knowing what I know now I can’t see myself re-watching it, not because of anything negative necessarily, but because now that I know their fate, their heroic path, I don’t think I could see any of their faces again without bawling out in tears. This story revolves around humanity, what you do in life and in death. The consequences of your actions and how they spiral to effect everyone around you. This began as a journey to save a few, and it became so much more. The way they planned the story is so ingenious. They’ve fitted lines and characters so perfectly, placing subtle statements of what is to come even from the first seasons. Even the simple action of Root coining the Machine as a “Her”, trickled on immensely in the plot. There’s too much to notice, to appreciate. It’s left me speechless and rendered me a weeping mop. I’ve fallen deeply in love with these characters, each and every one of them. In order for me to actually sleep tonight, I’ll have to pretend in my mind that they all held hands and ran into the sunset together, the machine telling them sweet nothings in their earbuds.. A message to the creators, thank you for the experience, the journey; it was a long and amazing one.
“Invictis maneo”
*I remain unconquered*
Emma Rodri perfectly said.
I just finished I’m in awe rn.
Loved your comment and views on this awe-inspiring story, you put my exact thoughts and feelings to prose beautifully. Thank you for that. And you are right, the loss of a full HALF of Team Machine is just too much for me to bear, and the inherent desperation and hopelessness of the situation was overwhelming for me. It's definitely going to be a tough rewatch.
You summed it up perfectly. I feel you! As I can see this message reminds me of Harold. Even he was afraid at first knowing the fate that was about to happen and so desperately he tried to save em all, the irrelevant. Gosh this shows gonna stick with us forever 😭
I remember I cried with my two hands in my face in front the screen speachless.
the music in this scene was superb, really hit the emotional notes
This whole scene is so sad. But Root saying “but we helped some people, didn’t we?” kills me.
One of the only TV shows I cried at
Yes I cried during supernatural finale and now this 😢
The smile at 3:49 says it all. John smiles (genuinely smiles) so little in this show so when he does here, right before he dies... it just says it all.
Goodbye Mr Reese...
Maybe a bit late, but I just watched the finale and...man, I've never cried for a tv show. It unleashed so many feelings, that keep rushing through my bones, heart and soul. I don't think I'll ever forget this beautiful and heartbreaking journey. So far, the best show I've ever seen.
The fact that Reese's last smile came after he ensured Finch's survival.
It's been 7 years already, but the ending of this show is still on my mind. Mr. Reese will never die as long as we remember his story.
I cried so much after this episode. I really missed this show it’s a “masterpiece”. So underrated. But thank god, they gave a ending to it. Thank you Jonathan Nolan 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I'm so glad this was the first TV show i got into
One of the greatest and most underappreciated shows of all time.
The cast of supporting characters and anti-heroes was simply awesome and far too long to list .
RIP John.
Phil.
Lets be honest, John died in the way that every single man fantasizes about. Sacrificing themselves and getting blown up to save the world. Total chad.
FUUUCK NOOO!!!!!!! I CRIED MY FUCKING EYES OUT :'( :'(
john was the only one which was with pinch from season 1 1 episode i cryed everytime i watched this
I just watched this series again for the first time in years. To this day the concepts still hold up and it's just as emotional as it was the first time
The one piece of television that makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it
Man... I really don't remember the last time I was crying, but this episode, those scenes, damn... When John smiles to Harold, when machine said ,,I'll be with John in this last moments", and the most heartbreaking thing- when Machine/Root hold John's shoulder, it was like ,,I got your back" I believe this is ,,Where men cried" Best show ever! Thank you POI :)
One of the best tv shows ever made
This is the best show I have ever seen!
I can't believe that the show is over and the Hero of the Heros dies. Person of interest ist my favorite serious an I'll never forget it! RIP John Reese❤️🙏🏽😭I'll miss you and the rest of team machine!
I love how they killed root then kept her. Along with the ending piano music it was so perfect
'You gave me a purpose' ' Goodbye Harold' my heart
I really wish this show would still be running. Its my all time favourite. I still miss it 😢
'I offered you a job.
I never said it would be easy..'
This is not John's sacrifice, this is the Kings Gambit.
Just re-watched every episode/season again in 22 and I still straight up love this show. I could see a comeback show in the future with the following it has.
Dude dies once as Jesus Christ.
Now dies as John Reese.
John Reese is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
He will come again in his glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.... We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Watched after 6 Years 😭 This Show deserve More Recognise Criminally Underrated
The year is 2024. It is such an amazing series that I still cannot forget it. I wish my memory would be erased so that I could start it again. When I watch this video of this series, I either cry or have tears in my eyes. Harold saying goodbye to the machine for the last time made me very emotional and the death of my favorite character, John, made me very sad.
We didn't actually see him die, so I don't accept it. :(
they lit him up at the very end, no way you can write him back. hes a soldier, not superman.
azn1980 He's John Reese. Superman wishes he could be like him.
Did you notice how for a second they showed the agents group up on him and then all shoot at him? Then a minute or so later you see him still alive as the missile comes in and lights him up. That was weird. He would have surely died when he was shot by all agents at once. Theres just something about this that makes me think they could find a way to bring him back. Someone said this could all be a situation which is the only real possibility. Anyway I know chances are hes dead.
He was probably wearing a vest at that point, so most of the final chest shots could have been blocked, but he's not avoiding the cruise missile at that point.
In the tv episode you saw him get shot a lot of times and bleeding a lot. After that a missile landed on the building.
that was a harsh kick in the balls...
Just finished this and what a show
John and Root were my favorite characters , i miss watching the show again and again, this is a masterpiece and cannot be created again.
I have cried when john smiled to Harold :/
Just finished watching and this scene had me in tears from Johns sacrifice to his last smile
The best show ever created, RIP MR REESE AND ROOT!
Dont forget Carter
THE BEST SERIES EVER THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER SERIES LIKE IT!
A person life isn’t measure by how long he live, is by what his/her have done, Reese help people, just a bunch of strangers no one would care. He was truly a hero 😭😭😭
i have finished this series yet... l saw this scene more one time and crying every one 💔.. i really enjoy watching this work.. i will miss all of them.. from Egypt ❤️

I cried the whole episode, finished it 1 hour ago still can't stop crying
This, along with the loss of Root, were the saddest moments in the entire series. my heart broke.
sometimes i just watch this video and cry again
Exactly one year ago, one of the most beautiful series on TV. Today we all miss. Personally I miss the character of John Reese. Thanks PERSON OF INTEREST
This was a really well crafted scene. The music for it was perfect, especially in the full unedited clip where john gets shot down in slow motion.
This show should be as popular as breaking bad.
it's been a long time since that day I watched the last episode. Today I accidentally stumbled upon this video. I could not hold back my tears
John Reese Your name John Reese?
A legendary ending to a legendary character.
A heart-breaking and totally appropriate ending...
I start getting teary at 40 seconds :( lol. Such an amazing series. Loved every minute of it. Never disappointed, except the fact that it has ended :( each song throughout has been perfect for the moments. This is by far the most emotional episode.
It's 2020, I stumbled at this show amidst our own pandemic crisis, best thing I ever watched. 5 seasons and it never lost its way, just as The machine never did hers. And those 2 heartbreaking episodes 4th season and 5th season finale.
Welcome my son... Welcome to the machine..
It's when everyone cried.
Thank you for creating this show.
Biz adamlığı senden öğrendik reis, huzur içinde yat
Adamlığın ta kendisiydi rahmetli.
Literally cried 🙂
I Love You Harold-John ❤️
John knew he had to be the one to do it. He knew Harold had someone to go to. John had no one.
It feels like saying goodbye to an old friend.
John wanted to make a difference. His father died a hero, and John saw that as something to aspire to. He joined the army to help people, and when he thought he had done enough he was pulled back in by 9/11 and the realization that Heroes were still needed. In the beginning it wasnt his lovers death thst drove him to drinking and suicide, it was the realization that his trying to be a hero had turned upside down. He was killing innocents, and the people he was serving were corrupted and morally wrong. When Finch found him he reignited Johns will to become a hero like his dad. Throughout the series we see John being the hero he wanted to be. Then Carter died, the one person who had made him think of being something else. He fell back into old ways because, again, he felt he was not doing enough. People still died because he couldn't be there to help. And for the second time it had affected someone he truly cared for. I think then John realized that being a hero doesnt mean saving the lives of random people, but that by saving the right life, the life of the people you love, you are a true hero. In the end, through saving the last person he cared for, he saved the world.
Damn reading this while listening to logic 1-800 is really a strange experience. (*sobs uncontrobally)
John or Jim Caviezel should be the next James bond
Goodbye Harold! I've watched this show from start to end maybe over 7 times now, and still, this scene is as touching as the moment that I've seen it first. :(
I feel like there’s almost something poetic that in the end he dies from a gunshot followed by a rocket. It really ties into the borrowed time note he dies the same death he avoided in the event that lead finch to him (I mean the whole thing on the mission where he got shot by his partner)
The music , the scene is just awesome. One of the best finales. Very hard to finish a good TV series.
