I was a sales rep with Vivint for a summer. Most of our managers were like this. Upper management spends the whole year trying to sell you how amazing being at the top is and how much money they make, while the majority of reps are barely making it paycheck to paycheck. It definitely gives pyramid scheme energy. Upper management makes the most money on their “down line.” It was actually crazy. A very fun summer and I learned a lot, but I’m for sure not going back.

Kind of refreshing to hear a guest finally just plainly say “I hate to cook.” Learning to enjoy cooking and being able to cook food that tastes on par with restaurants has been the #1 money saver for me.
With the cost of takeout now, it always seems disappointing / underwhelming. Factor in the 20 minutes in the car picking it up - I’m cooking more often and eating healthier, more flavorful meals - and saving money. And I often end up with leftovers for lunch the next day. Win / win
I’m lucky in that I can consistently eat hardboiled egg whites + pb&j’s for breakfast, and boneless skinless chicken breasts with barbecue sauce + plain rice for dinner 7 days a week for months on end and be perfectly content. It’s not that I find either of those meals to be super delicious, either; it’s just that they’re nutritionally sufficient, palatable, and easy to make.

Really exposes how people in MLMs will go into debt to get flashy things just to show them off and entice others to join them when it's actually all dishonest because they can't really afford them.
This is EXACTLY what the ladies in the MLM I was involved with (I know, I know....doh!) tried to push! "Spend money to make money" was the slogan that was popular at the time in this company. Thank God I didn't fall into massive debt due to their "preachings."

Uh no. “Pipeline” is a common term used in many different sales industries. In real estate sales for example, your pipeline in dictates leads at varying stages of readiness, as well as deals that are under contract or have otherwise not yet closed. A real estate transaction typically takes a month to close from the moment an offer is accepted, therefore, you could have 20, 30, 50k in commissions in your pipeline, but not all deals close
That's basic sales terminology. I've worked in 2 different types of sale industries for normal companies (not MLMs) and pipeline is just a term for sales pending.

As a Coloradan, hearing him talk about how he needs a big bulky car like a 4runner to make it up to the mountains and ski is absolute bull. I've seen plenty of two wheel drive sedans make it up there just fine with winter tires and then maybe chains inside of the car just in case, it's really not all that it seems to be. 36:20 "Up until this year, I was spending like less than $50,000 a year, making over $200 grand" If that was true, he should have quite a pile of money saved somewhere.
This! I was thinking that the entire time. Sounds like at the peak he had 100k invested/saved, but if he truly had saved 70% over the span of multiple years, it would have been sooo much more.
I know 4 people that got solar and of those 4 people all 4 regretted doing it. 2 of them are actually suing the solar city guys because they damaged their roofs. Another woman got a price for a new roof after only 5 years and the roofer told her $30k because of the solar panels.
I'm all for the environment, but from the numbers I've seen solar panels just don't add up. Even if they cut 100% of your energy costs, it would typically take something like 10 years to pay the initial cost. Then you're dealing with interest on that, or opportunity cost of not having that money invested if you pay in cash. And that's without looking at depreciation, maintenance, etc. and then additional costs like you mentioned with roofing. If you get a large battery it can be nice to know you have power during an outage, but that's a luxury that most can't justify.
Right, I took my Hyundai sonata through Lincoln Gulch and there were bmws and other people driving on this trail, no snow but there were boulders we had to drive on lol
I didn't agree with this comment entirely and then heard "interstates" and "go ski". Yeah... that is a front wheel drive sedan type of drive. Winter tires are a good idea, carry chains for emergencies, but AWD isn't even all that helpful for that sort of driving. There is plenty to do here with 4WD in the back country, but 4WD is actually WORSE than AWD for interstates. It's even probably worse than front wheel drive.
Caleb you've helped me so much to save and create a plan/budget for my money. Also to understand how to organise it better and what is not necessary. I feel so much better now and it's been only a couple months! I watch your videos religiously so thank you.
Solar and alarm systems...no no, big red flag. I'm sure it's absolutely possible for people who are good at it and in leading positions to make a lot of money but...this is a shady, unethical, and all around slimy industry and business model. And I've heard bad things about his company specifically. Caleb's question, "Is this a pyramid scheme you're actually making money from?" is on point. It's a different business model for sure, and not technically a pyramid scheme/MLM, but definitely the same spirit and vibe going on.

I was a sales rep with Vivint for a summer. Most of our managers were like this.

I used to work for a company similar to this called Cydcor. It's essentially a pyramid scheme. They preach you opening up your own office and being a "business owner" when you still work for a corporation and they control your money.
As an American, I only see military do that anymore. Old fashioned respect has gone away.
Caleb not really giving him the attention he wanted at the end with selling his bitcoin made me so happy loll
When you use the word “pipeline” 17 times to describe your sales, you’re definitely in a pyramid scheme 😂😂

The fact that he's a door to door salesman is hilarious since I am quick to the jump when they come to my door. I just tell them "sorry sir, nobodies here right now" and close the door and watch their face in pure confusion.
@@LittleLady178 And on the other side, if he spent 50,000 a year over a long term, it would be far easier for him to get back to that level.
Especially with the way the markets were these past few years.
I live in Denver you absolutely do not need 4wd to be in the mountains. I've driven on terrible roads to hiking trails using my Jetta station wagon.
Right, I took my Hyundai sonata through Lincoln Gulch and there were bmws and other people driving on this trail, no snow but there were boulders we had to drive on lol
Are some areas cleared by snow plows? That would make it even easier to go without 4WD
Tires > driver > drivetrain
Terms this guy needs to learn:
1) Over-leveraged
2) Lifestyle creep
Caleb you've helped me so much to save and create a plan/budget for my money. Also to understand how to organise it better and what is not necessary. I feel so much better now and it's been only a couple months! I watch your videos religiously so thank you.
This crypto bro gave off big ego energy. If I saw him at a bar I’d run away lmao. I hope he buys a cookbook 💜
id be so nervous living life if I had all of these "deals" promised down the road
5 min in and getting some serious pyramid / insurance 'scam' roof repair vibes.
Edit: 7:30 min in and pyramid confirmed lol
35:30 min how to convince others to build your pyramid 'base' might as well rent a lambo as well.
no one is gonna remember your penthouse or your pipeline at your funeral 🥲 but they will remember your big ego
Caleb made me wanna meal prep my lunch this whole week- and I’ve been keeping frozen meals/fruit/snacks/ instant stuff in my backpack/purse/desk/fridge in case I forget or just randomly get hungry 😅
I've been meal prepping with my room mates for the past 2 months all because of caleb and now I pay 25$ a week for 10 meals a week then on the weekend we all fend for ourselves and split the costs if we order out for like a roomie night where we play board games and get some pizza.
@@Kaiju_Bos $25 a week ?! do u use a service or just grocery shop? also what meals? ive been looking to meal prep as well
Same here!! I’ve been making my own coffee more and packing a lunch most days. I even paused my DoorDash membership lol!!
I've been doing that for a long time, however I watch these videos to continue my motivation. I have amped it though, cause sometimes I want a snack, so I just started bringing a whole container of grapes to work and eating those throughout the week.
@@Kaiju_Bos eeeyyy, that's the way to do it!
It will always be a good day when Caleb drops a video!
Putting myself out there to have me and my husband come on Financial Audit as a couple 🤸♀️ We're two 27 year olds, both working and have a house and an 18-month old toddler
Not as helpful to listen to people who have everything figured out though. People who make mistakes and come onto here are awesome for others to learn from.
I think I would be good to see a couple in the channel. Not sure if it's been done. I would like to see the advice.
@@kunya16 I think I'll do it, I know our family has room to improve but I hope it would be a good message for young people who are maybe scared of parenthood or marriage or "settling down." It's not a fantasy for our generation.
We need this!
@@erin9868 I respect that. In my mind, it’s easier to have someone learn from seeing what is wrong and being told how to improve it. So there’s two sides there to relate to and learn from.
On the flip side, if someone’s doing everything right, then we would only see that side. It’d be difficult for Caleb or anyone to learn as much when it’s one-sided and positive. Where’s the negative aspect to learn from?
Also the aspect that Caleb’s actually helping people directly who need that push. That aspect is lost if it’s just people who have it all together.
Regardless I’d watch anything lol. Just rambling
Vivint is a MLM. His “income” is tied to his “team” and their recruiting as well. I don’t have malice for this guy, it’s easy to get sucked into.
Caleb you got something really cool here. Both entertaining and educational. Thank you for all you do my man!
Caleb I'm speedrunning through this channel, happy there's new content to play during work 😅
Thank you 😊
