      @Shelley Jane So glad you're still here, happy 44th! I'm going to be 54 this summer. May I offer you some extra hope? I'm a former psychotherapist, long story short but I had to close my private practice due to chronic health issues from Lyme Disease, mono & other respiratory viruses way before c-vid, but think similar issues like with the long haul symptoms. I became a therapist due to my Mom's experiences with being a sexual assault survivor (military) and being diagnosed with BiPolar following the assault. The good news is once my Mom was done with her menstrual cycles her BiPolar went into permanent remission; she's 80 today :) In fact, in the 2 decades following her 30s, the symptoms lessened more & more & then at 50 totally gone, & she had major issues when she was young, postpartum depression & psychosis after I was born & 4 hospitalizations in her mid-20s-30s. As a former therapist & as someone who had several family members with mental health challenges & from the research I've done I can share that a lot of mental health issues, especially with women are hormonally related but the medical field refuses to do more research when they know there's a clear connection, very frustrating because hormonal therapy may do much better than current psych meds. Hang in there & some of these mental health challenges may spike a bit in mid-life and then I'm hoping for the best decade of your life! My Dad's mom didn't have mental health issues but many health issues that resolved as well once she hit 50 :)

      It's like government. No matter how big your economy is, it doesn't matter if you just waste all the money on stupid stuff.
      Even celebrities and athletes often become destitute from wasting all their money on stupid stuff. Even if you make a 10 million a year, once you pay half to the tax man, you have 5. Then there's all sorts of other expenses like property tax, etc. But idiots will spend 11 million because they don't know how to do math and they have no impulse control.
      I know plenty of people who just throw money away on stupid stuff every month and then complain about wealth inequality. Like seriously, man, you just spent 100% of your take home pay on Coachella, coffee, a PS5, a flight to Hawaii, eating out every day, 500 dollars a month in car loans, some sort of dumb collection of shoes, keyboards, or action figures, OnlyFans, and another 500 a month on fitness somehow, and you wonder why your net worth is going down and people who spend less see their worth go up.

    The only reason why I open RUclips is to keep myself updated for when Caleb uploads an episode! Been following since a couple month I never went back. I have cut almost everything that I was spending on, also now being laid off now I understand that not having an emergency fund is an emergency the hard way now am budgeting everything and seeking a therapist for my impulsive shopping. Caleb you have changed the way I looked at spending, the way I look at saving and the way that I need to grow my ass up! I am applying to jobs and will be saving to be financially free of debt thanks to you Caleb! ❤🎉

    As someone in the counseling field, I’m super impressed with Caleb advocating for MH in pretty much every video. When talking about SI (suicidal ideations) there shouldn’t be any fluff, be as straightforward as possible to assess what is the risk for this person. Talk like this should be built into conversations naturally so it’s not stigmatized or breeding shame in some dark corner of our noggin. ALSO when someone does their own work, you can tell. We see you Caleb 👏🏼👏🏼

    • @krissyrific

      Even with certifications online personalities do not want to open, public advice. Too much liability. I have a highly valued certification in my industry that I do not advertise for this exact reason.

    • @athena608
      @athena608 Год назад +7

      Giving advice publicly on media like this can be a major liability if you have a credential or a license - if you are a licensed advisor/cpa/lawyer/etc., and you don’t specify that your videos are not actionable advice for a viewer's specific situation, then if a person watching takes the advice you give and it turns out badly, they'd have grounds to sue you for malpractice. It's why RUclips/TikTok lawyers or other licensed pros on social media always have similar disclaimers because of this risk. Idiots can misinterpret the advice, have something turn out bad, and then try to blame it on the professional on RUclips who "told them what to do" and try to get cash out of it, and ruin the person's professional rep in the process.

    1 trend I’ve noticed with this channel is lots of guests have money in at least 5-6 different accounts. It’s too much of a headache and hard to keep up with. Limit it to at least 3 or it’s impossible to budget and to be organized. You’re just creating more work for yourself.
