  • Let’s walk through the steps for a cold start of the Mig-29 in DCS World. The Mig-29 is a formidable fighter jet, and getting it ready for action involves several crucial procedures.
    Full Start up Process:
    Cockpit Preparation:
    Battery Switch: Turn it on.
    Emergency Power Switch: Set it to “ON.”
    Fuel Shutoff Valve: Open it.
    Fuel Pump Switch: Turn it on.
    Engine Start Switch: Set it to “NORM.”
    Throttle: Set it to idle position.
    Master Ignition Switch: Turn it on.
    Engine RPM Lever: Set it to “IDLE.”
    Engine Start Button: Press it.
    Engine Start:
    Monitor the engine parameters (N1, N2, and EGT) on the engine instruments panel. Once the engine stabilizes, advance the throttle slightly to maintain idle RPM.
    Check the engine oil pressure and temperature.
    Avionics and Systems:
    Radio: Set the desired frequency.
    Radar: Power it up.
    IRST (Infrared Search and Track): Activate it.
    RWR (Radar Warning Receiver): Check for any threats.

    the mig 29 is a rocket, dont linger around the runway on takeoff, you gotta pull up to pervent tire popping.
