I have seen that the littlextrea riceberry vitamin c face serum gives my skin more glowing and evens out my pale skin tone. It also diminished my fine lines. Now I use it consistently in my skin care routine. One more thing I noticed is that it speeds up wounds like scratches or marks from blemishes heal faster. In the AM, before going to the office, I apply rice berry sunscreen and moisturizer on top of the face serum. Before this, I used decontrcts serum, but it didn't give me any good results. Now I'm super happy with my new skin care routine, and I intend to stick with it for a long time.
In my opinion, this riceberry serum performs exceptionally on the skin. It penetrates well and doesn’t make the skin greasy. It offers immediate brightness to the complexion. Just make sure to apply sunscreen after using a vitamin c serum.
I started using a lot of products that has niacinamide in January...... my skin been having itchy pustuals. I just switched everything to niacinamide free except my tret.... no more red itchy bumps. I eliminated one by one and it got better and better
I recently started developing hives from my Vitamin C serum. Took quite awhile to figure out what was causing it and trips to the MD. I use Niacinimide ok without any issues. Thank you for this video. !
This was so informative! I’ve seen such an improvement in my skin since adding some of these ingredients, like copper peptides, into my routine. For a long time, I thought my skin couldn’t handle niacinamide. Turns out it’s just high concentrations like 10% that seem to irritate my skin.
I've also seen CoQ10 recommended as an antioxidant instead of vit c. Maelove has their Peptide Squad with all four types of peptides. Have you checked out the Cosrx 6 peptide booster? Re: reseveratrol, I recently saw a derm recommend the Medik8 Oxy-R peptides serum as a vit c alternative. How do feel about The Ordinary's resveratrol and ferulic serum?
Yes, the Paula's Choice AA is irritating if you're not very careful. It is because of the salicylic acid in it. Why they would add that, who knows? I was a PC die hard fan, but I'm moving over to The Ordinary skin care for cost savings, and really loving it so far
Been suffering from melasma for over 20 years and have tried many products. I use a tinted sunscreen daily under heavy makeup. Thinking of getting the Ordinary product for hypo- pigmentation . What do you think? Thanks Dr Liu.
Dr. Jenny I hope you can answer this question, I purchased The Ordinary Copper Peptide when it first came out and after one application my nails and face were tinged orange. Is this normal?
@PaleOpal21 - i’m not a Derm, but it sounds to me like your copper is oxidizing. Some ingredient in another product you’re using is causing it to oxidize.
@@kristinekerr3688 Thanks. I applied to clean dry skin and the serum was blue and a brand new bottle but that does make sense. I had to double cleanse and soak my nails in hydrogen peroxide. What a mess!

Niacinamide 5% serum is a miracle worker on my hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C makes my skin itch or burn, my face was so red & angry looking.

I can’t tolerate niacinamide either, gives me deep, painful cystic acne within the night of using it.

Where does Maelove fall in line with the brands you recommended? They have a few of these products as well. Thank you.
Great information! Can you use copper peptide with alpha arbutin at the same time?
Geek and Gorgeous peptide serum is the best! Also, any recs for Co q 10?
Hi Dr. Jenny Liu! Sorry for this question that might sound dumb: does pure vitamin C ruin freckles? Because of it brightening effects?
No it doesn’t
Can Copper Peptides be used in the same routine as Tretinoin? What about L-Ascorbic Acid? I've been so curious to use The Ordinary serum!
Can you use Tretinoin, Alpha Arbutin, Tranexamic acid in the same routine at night please?
What other ingredients can be used with copper peptides?
Most ingredients are fine but I like retinol
