- On this cook, I smoked up 3 racks of St. Louis style ribs rubbed with coffee! In the video I said the ribs without the sauce were my favorite but after adding a little bit of salt to the ribs that had nothing but the coffee, I changed my mind those were my favorite!

Smokin Joe - Хобби
Searching coffee rubs and here you are, will try this on a pork shoulder when it warms up! Thanks again Joe, appreciate you!
What's not to like about coffee? I gotta try that sometime with maybe a sweetened coffee spritz. James sent me over and I'm glad he did!
Thanks Tarheel! I love me some coffee. The spritz sounds good. 👍🏼
Wow that coffee with the different rubs looks awesome! The bark “not burnt color” looks phenomenal. Perfectly done with the smoked ring! Great share! Cheers and keepbbqing
Thanks for stopping by brother Jazz! Good stuff for sure my friend. 👍🏼
Great comparison Joe.
Thanks brother!🤘
Nice job Joe!!!
Thanks Dawg! I added a bit of salt to the coffee rib and man it was really tasty! 👍🏼
Hey brother the coffee is definitely different! They looked good! The ribs to be a little tough yet! Great video!
Thanks Rich! They were all really good. 👍🏼
Joe if you've never tried it Lane's BBQ makes a great Ancho-Expresso rub. Works great with brisket.
Nice Jimmy! I will be making a brisket with coffee. 👍🏼
Joe awesome looking coffee ribs... nicely done! third one sounded best:) middle looked great!
Thanks Tommy! My wife and I really like the one with just coffee once we added a little bit of salt. Thanks for watching. 🤘
Your Coffee ribs came out awesome!!! You have your bbq sauce nice .... i like how you had 3 racks of ribs that cooked with coffee. The way i like to drink my coffee is light medium roast mostly any flavor that is on sale ...lol.....with "the cold stone creamery sweet cream coffee creamer".... while i was watching this coffee ribs video... i thought of your Nickle coffee cup video too... (Had a flash back on when you went coffee hunting for 5 cents) Any way ... great video 8)
LOL! That was a fun video hunting for five cent cup of coffee. 😁 Thanks for watching, ribs were tasty!👍🏼
I actually use espresso for my coffee rub. Mix it with hot chili powder. Nice video!
Oh man that sounds good Benji! I 👍🏼
I smoke ribs with salt/pepper then layer of pecan coffee (coarse) and raw sugar that comes out great!
Oh man Lydell, that sounds good!👍🏼

@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ no, but i can get it in my buddies butcher shop ! And try sell it at comps
Oh nice! 👍🏼
Good cook Joe. I'll have to try that too, my wife's a coffee freak! I've made an espresso rub for beef before but I've never thought about it on ribs
I really liked the rib with nothing but coffee after I added a little bit of salt. I can't wait to try this on beef! 👍🏼
Great idea on the ribs. Looked amazing. I had never used coffee before and enjoyed this colab. Cheers! 🍻
Thanks GT!👍🏼
Cooking with codde , very nice idea my friend ! ! ! ! ! These ribs look tasty ! ! !! ! ! Thanks a lot for this interesting video my friend and Hello from FRANCE ! ! ! ! 🌟💖🍊🍚🍎🍓🍭🍄😍💛🌟💖 BTW : NOt too nervous after eating this ????? (I'm joking , sorry ) .
Thank you AU! The coffee gave the ribs a really good flavor. I will make the ones with just coffee but next time I'll add some kosher salt to the coffee. 👍🏼😁
All 3 of those ribs looked great Joe, I like the sheen from your homemade sauce. I've made rubs with coffee, never tried it alone, but cool idea. Great job!
Thanks Pickles. Definitely different than anything I've made before but it was good. 👍🏼
Very interesting Joe heard using cocoa but this is the first for coffee the ribs look good though 👍.
Thanks so much Jacklyn! Do you drink much coffee? Is coffee popular in Trinidad?
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ Yes coffee is very popular in Trinidad and do sometimes when my Dad lets me not often though
@@CookingwithStephennJacklyn LOL. My daughter used to like coffee when she was younger. She's 11 now and doesn't like it. 😁
I picked the middle one in your survey. You can put too many flavors on ribs and over power them . Just Plain Coffee does need a little help. I agree with adding Himalayan Salt to it. I’ve made several coffee rubs and have cook multiple times with it, love it. Bold flavor. Nice test Brother. TFS
Thanks brother! I'll definitely make these again and add some salt to the coffee. 🤘
All those ribs looked great
I’m a Splenda and Coffee-mate guy with my coffee. At home I make mostly espresso and lattes and in those I like some brown sugar syrup.
Very nice Apex! I love me a good latte too! 🤘
Just hit that subscribe button while waiting for my video to upload, Joe... Only question is, why didn't I sub before today?
Glad I found your channel as well! It's always good to find good cooking channels. 👍🏼
I bet that coffee rub tasted great on those ribs..! Awesome video Joe
Thanks Joe! They were all really tasty. 👍🏼
I've never cooked with coffee either. That is interesting for sure, may have to try that
It's actually pretty good. Good bold flavor. 👍🏼
Good looking ribs Joe. Did you use instant coffee or regular ground coffee beans?
Thanks Joe! I used regular Folgers ground coffee. I just ground them to a finer powder. Really good, just add a little bit of kosher salt to the coffee.
Killer cook brother! I love some good ribs. I can't believe the just coffee ribs didn't knock you down haha that is a powerful flavor that I have over done before
Yup. It's a bold flavor for sure. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼
looking good Joe!! i need to try something with coffee!! might do a ribeye later today!!
Bro, it's tasty! Really nice bold flavor.👍🏼
HEY BIG JOE , GOOD LOOKIN RIBS LIKED THE COLOR ON ALL OF THEM. DRINK MY COFFEE BLACK ONLY , 2 TO 3 POTS ADAY , OLD HABITS ARE HARD TO BREAK ... LOL I USE A COFFEE BASED RUB FOR BURGERS
Good lord Ole Vet..that's a ton of coffee. My late uncle Lloyd that was in the army and did several tours in Vietnam drank a ton of coffee too. I had lots of respect for uncle Lloyd. We shared a ton of stories and he had the scars as proof that they were true. Much respect my friend.🇺🇸
THANKS JOE …. THAT MEANS ALOT TO THIS OLD NAVY CHIEF
Great experiment. One question - did you leave the membrane on?
Thanks Phillip. I took them off of 2 the third one was coming off in pieces so I left it on. I think it was the rack with sauce because the back had a little snap to it.
Smokin' Joe's Pit BBQ I always keep mine on as I LOVE that snap/crunch that it gives. And...I’m working on getting my channel created on here. Hope you’re having a great morning so far.
Great looking Ribs. I've never had coffee in or on my food, but I'm sure I would like that. I like my coffee Hot and somewhat strong, with Hazelnut creamer. And a lot of it. I also prefer percolating, instead of drip. Have you tried Cold Stone's Coffee Ice Cream??. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
Hey Grumpy! Yeah buddy, that cold stone coffee ice cream is the absolute best! 👍🏼 Thanks for being a loyal subscriber & for your comments.
You had me a little nervous there bro! I was like what is Joe Doing.. I've done a little coffee in a ribeye and brisket rub and have enjoyed it on beef. I'll give this 1 a shot sometime. Great video as always bro..
LOL! Really different bro. I can see myself using some coffee on a brisket. It has a nice flavor plus the color would be very nice too. Ya now I still have that SRF GOLD. 🤔
What blend of coffee are you using
I’ll never use a coffee rub on my meat.
My mother tried this once when I was a kid. My on pit-bull dog tried to bite me for giving him a coffee roast. He wouldn’t even eat it
LOL! I added a bit of salt to the coffee rib and I really liked it! Give the coffee another chance. 😁
No way I still remember how bad it tasted lol
@@yogibear5809 LOL 😂
Hey Joe.. Come join BBQ Champions & we will help promote your channel!
HEY JOE, man that was a awesome demonstration of difference of rubs on the ribs, I really don't know which won I would pick because they all look amazing, that why I say I am going to have to be your full time taste tester. LOL. Joe what brand of ribs do you use, let me know. AWESOME JOB JOE. GOD BLESS YOU.!!!!
Thanks Joe! The one with just coffee was really good after we added a little bit of salt. You should give them a try my friend. 👍🏼
