Finding the perfect snowboard isn’t easy. In this video we’re trying to guide you to a snowboard model that fit’s your level and style of riding. You can call it a buyers guide to Stranda Snowboards.
Our baseline for 20/21 are Descender, Shorty, Tree Surfer, Bowlrider and Cheater. These are “daily drivers” you can use all over the mountain, from slicing up groomers to surf powder. Add one or more of our quiver boards for that special day or terrain and you’re prepared for anything.
Mats has been shaping boards since early 2000s. Starting with carving shapes and big mountain guns in search for ultimate glide and edgehold. Exploring the outer limits of extreme carving 15 years before carving became cool again. He layed the foundations to Stranda in 2016 with the Pipeliner and Cheater shapes. Four seasons later we have a more or less complete line of freeride and carving boards.
Please note that the Descender is a 20/21 model and not available until autumn 2020.

Really is helpful getting proper recommendations…so many brands it feels like you would have to spend hours reading descriptions or testing each board to know who they are aiming at with each model.

I’ve been riding now for ever like over 20 years and i just recently found your brand on you tube. I’m very interested in getting on one of your boards for sure.

That was a great walkthrough. I am 1.8m tall and weigh 85kgs and I like to carve and explore the powder. As I’m in my 50s and I’ve been riding for 30 years I avoid the park. The sole of my size 43 boots measure 300mm. I am worried that the Descender maybe too narrow, but it looks great and I wonder about the wide version, then there’s the Biru, but I don’t know if I need a 154 or 157, finally the Bowlrider looks like it could be a great board for me and isn’t as crazy wide as the Biru. Any thoughts on which board would be best for me would be much appreciated. Kind regards from the English Lake District, Marcus.
PS. I love the ethos of the Stranda Brand and your personal passion. I also smiled when watching one of your reviews and I saw you have a motorhome, we go off to the Alps in ours for Snowboarding and it really adds to the experience.

How the Biru fall in here? I’m looking for an high speed capable board on standard compacted groomers, and I’m not sure between Cheater and Biru

Hi! Can you customization your board to the rider 's weight, stance, etc? The Cheater very impressive but i' m low about 167cm, and my weight about 78 kg. I have little boots MP: 25cm /25.5 cm. The most snowboard's mimimum and reference stance is too wide for me. My first preference is deep carving, on icy and man make snow, and litlle narrower short blue piste. I have some boards :Amplid Pentaquark 158, Korua Dart 156, Apex SBX 160 (BC board with 14m SC radius). But this boards aren't specific for me.
