INTO THE WILD - an epic splitboard trip above the Arctic Circle

Tarfala Valley is a hidden gem nestled deep within Swedish Lapland. When spring comes Stranda founder Mats Drougge takes guests and team riders for an epic week of splitboarding in this remote location. The valley is surrounded by Swedens highest peaks and largest glaciers and they have a whole mountain range for themself. 2023 was a year going to the books as 85 centimeter of cold blower snow hit the area the day before they ventured in on their splitboards. The annual hut trip is lead by splitboarder and UIAGM Mountain Guide Fred Buttard. Fred has spent 14 years developing a unique knowledge of this arctic freeeride paradise. Spots for 2024 are already spoken for but we still have openings.
