the waviness is more to do with the material service not being perfectly smooth as the pattern varies in shape. orange peel has more to due with improper technique and setup. most orange peel can be machine polished out.
I looked at about 12 Vipers before buying mine, not a single one had those 3m protective stickers, are you certain all Gen 2's had these? Maybe it was just the ACR's?

whenever i see a viper i look for them and i usually find them. ive seen them on non ACR cars.
