    What are your thoughts on this? If I'm wrong or right tell me why. I hope you enjoyed!
    I will make this comment here. I do stutter a lot, and I tried to cut out as much as possible. I will try to do better next time!

      You can turn off the music and songs in the audio section via the settings menu. I know because I'm not a music fan when I play these games. I just want to hear the characters talk.

      My friend, this probably won't make much difference, but please don't worry about stuttering. The people who insult or mock you for it are themselves assholes, specifically because they choose to be. ...I know it's easy to say "hey, don't listen to haters," but far more difficult to put into practice, and even moreso if you're trying to market yourself... but for life itself, try not to look at "every" social interaction as a "meaningful" social interaction.
      And I'm not saying only surround yourself with people who praise and support you, either. I'm saying that it's hard but necessary to be able to realize that, ESPECIALLY in this age of "modern connectivity," our interactions are not meant to be measured in quantity, even though the brain registers them as such after countless years of programming. Our daily lives' interactions are meant to be quality, as well. The modern world deluges us with thousands, millions of people judging us quickly with a thumbs up, down, or nothing, or worst of all, A COMMENT.
      How you overcome what you see to be your greatest hindrances will teach you more about yourself, life, and those around you than nearly anything else.
      Great video, thank you for it. I notice even folk like MaxDood having to turn down music in some of his archives of Rebirth.
      In all honesty, it's likely a compartmentalization issue, because I've seen enough legal issues to know that the music was likely outsourced to copyright via a DIFFERENT company than Squeenix, and they didn't get the memo/even KNOW that a large chunk of the revenue for the game will come from folk watching let'splayers streaming it therefore they should turn off the copyright.
      I bet they heard "FOUR HUNDRED TRACKS!!!!? You see/hear this on youtube anywhere, you get the ceiling ninja lawyers ready, we're gonna make a mint!"

    often times it's not even the main stuidos its the music studios that do this.

    The reason why this is an issue is because many of these streamers simply play the game and give no commentary. They often go for stretches not doing much and the music just plays. This means that people who are savvy enough can just record the audio from the video and have the song for themselves without paying anything for it. This hurts the soundtrack sales because why would you buy it if you could just go out of your way to record it or whatever. I know this doesn't really make sense and there's almost nobody out there that will really go to these lengths to do this, but the way that lawyers think and the way that the system works mean that they think they need to squash every avenue of possibility to preserve their rights, even if it's ridiculous and makes no sense.

    the worst part is when not even the owner claims it themselves but its just automated nonsense. sure the game is square enix's but they sure do not own my video and gameplay imo. that's what makes games different from other media it isn't static like movies or music. like you said it is very often the sound that gets claimed or muted. copyright laws need some kind of overhaul.

    • @iChewsU
      @iChewsU  7 месяцев назад

      True. I think a mute music option for a game is needed. If we are getting to that point

    • @herrdehringe
      @herrdehringe 7 месяцев назад

      @@iChewsU yeah. i mean you can also mute the music in ingame settings which some streamers do. i think some games even have a streamer/creator mode specifically that mutes stuff like radio stations in cars. but music is a crucial part in experincing a game too.

    like i know it's shitty that they are copyrighting music (extremely shitty) but you can't even listen to the ost anyways... like i know the soundtrack is good, like really fucking good but no one is buying the game just for that. it shouldn't be copyrighted

    Yeah man, the fact that I can’t monetize a video with “Those who fight further” in it because some loser in Portugal has decided to feign ownership of Nobuo Uematsu’s intellectual property is absolutely bonkers. I’m currently fighting back against it at the risk of my channel. But I’m told from other creators that I will win. It’s frustrating to see bullies trying to take advantage of people just trying to share something neat with the world. These jerk faces are copyright claiming music that’s not theirs and stealing money from creators trying to make something and share something cool about a game like FF7 that they love

  • @One.Zero.One101

    Like all good things, copyright started out as a virtuous concept and then got bastardized by greed. Like your example, streamers aren't stealing intellectual property, they are actually promoting the game. But there's no way they can argue this point unless they take Square Enix to court, which obviously they cannot afford to do, so they just take down the video.
    In the worst example, copyright can be used to censor critics. If a game reviewer doesn't like a game, the studio can just make a copyright claim. They don't care if they have a good case or not, they just want to drain the reviewer of their money through legal fees. That's an indictment not just on copyright but the justice system itself, where it's not about who's right or wrong, but about which one has the more money.
    The sad thing is no one is gonna fix this in the foreseeable future. Film studios and video game studios got lawmakers by the balls. There's no way in hell they're gonna pass a law that favors a streamer over multi-million dollar companies.

    I agree, like people want to show what we’re passionate about and talk about & play what they love. The music in this game is phenomenal, and there were so many moments where I had to pause just to take in how awesome it is, if I was recording my gameplay & the audio got copyrighted, I’d be super cheesed

    To be fair, a lot of time, it might not be the game producer. In most cases, the copyright is held by the musicians and the game producers hold a license. It why years after release of some TV shows you'll find the music is changed to a sound alike or sometimes something completely different. And in the case of rebirth the wide variety leads me to think that a lot of the songs are written and performed by artists outside of squares in house sound team. And some of these individuals might not care for their music being broadcast without a cut. Just a thought

    u misunderstand. copyright can be used as a tool to take down content related to their game. drake playing one of his songs on bobbi's podcast was a deliberate move to take her video down if he choose to.
    you repeat often the phrase "i dont understand." are you open to the bleak reality that the world runs on getting power and the security that comes with it. justice is the afterthought or a brand aesthetic.
