In this video, Dr. Berg talks about how to slow down premature graying or losing hair color. Melanocytes are the cells that make the pigment called melanin.
The melanogenic clock is a clock that involves the aging process and as you get older you lose the color of your hair and it turns gray.
Several Things that are involved with Prematurely Graying Hair:
    1. Tyrosinase - is an enzyme that has copper in it. It is needed to make melanin and you can also get this enzyme from mushrooms and copper-containing foods like oysters.
    2. Adrenals - When the adrenals are stressed, you start generating excessive amounts of hydrogen peroxide. Vitamin E will help decrease excessive amounts of hydrogen peroxide in the body.
    3. Deficient in PABA / Biotin / Inositol (B vitamins) - It is the microbiome (gut flora) that helps produce and recycle these.
    Health Benefits of Vitamin E
    • Anti-Sterility (Increases fertility)
    • Hot Flashes
    • Helps reduce the intensity of spider veins.
    • Premature Wrinkles - it improves the skin.
The pituitary is the storage for a lot of your vitamin E, so when you go into menopause and you lose the function of the ovary, the vitamin E drops significantly. Women that are pre-menopausal or menopausal have much lower vitamin E levels than they did before that change.
If you are menopausal, make sure you eat a lot of leafy greens, seeds/nuts, and wheat germ oil, or take a vitamin E complex but make sure that it is not the synthetic version.

I've worked night shifts and have been on a night schedule for the past 7 yrs. It's hard on the body for sure. Luckily I've always been the type who seems to handle a late sleep schedule much better than most others but I do have a lot of greys for my age. Though the premature greying started several years before I was working nights so idk how connected they two are. I still manage to get adequate sleep during the day, thanks to ear plugs and blackout curtains.

Technically, most (if not all) creatures on this planet including us have copper in their bodies. It’s necessary for survival in our biosphere, but aquatics are highly sensitive to illnesses and death if exposed to copper levels beyond trace amounts mammals tend to be resistant to. Think you may be referring to the cupric ion in copper that is toxic to aquatics. This form of copper is unfortunately in our oceans due to industrial practices.

I got my hair color back after 3 years on the Weston Price Diet. Oddly, my birth color hair was brunette. I dyed my hair blonde since I was 20. When my hair color returned at 56, it came back as BLONDE. The same color as my hair dye. At 63, I'm still blonde. I wonder if the hair dye changed the natural coloration system in my hair or if I have a recessive blonde gene that was turned on by the 36 year long usage of blonde hair dye (L'Oreal champagne blonde)?

What is your opinion on copper utensils? Traditionally in India it is advised to drink water from copper vessels

    • @Jthe5th

Mainly because copper is antifungal and antibacterial, that is why traditionally this has been advised.
Now too much copper intake will obviously cause toxicity.
Also not all liver has high copper content, chicken and turkey liver is very low on copper, lamb liver for example is high in copper.

The thing about probiotics is that they only temporarily flood your system with good bacteria. If your system were not deficient in the first place you wouldn't have to take them at all. But the fact that you do, means the environment itself isn't supporting their existence in the gut long term.

At 59 I’ve kept my original hair color up until apprx 3 months ago. I now notice a bit of grey throughout. Guess it had to happen sooner or later 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s amazing Lisa! Tell us your secrets! I’m 29, healthy and active but already about 10% grey 😔

@@mariammanzoor3527 Thanks! Pretty sure a big part is genetics, my mom was the same, as well as lifestyle and diet. I’ve always eaten fish, liver and mushrooms. 2020 was a stressful yr (pandemic) so I’m not surprised to see these greys. Stress will def speed up the aging process.
