    When canning, one should always use an approved recipe for safety sake. Botulism is deadly.

      You’re right and I work hard to follow the rules on acidity, elevation, process times, etc. I thought I used a good source with Canning & Cooking at Home. Maybe I should invest in some of those basic ball canning and collegiate proven recipe books to add a little assurance. Thank you - genuinely 🙏
