Thanks for making the awesome videos Chris. My first RC was a Tamiya "Rough Rider" (same chassis as the "Sand Scorcher" Baja bug). I've recently re-kindled my love for the RC hobby and have been looking for a good kit (building the model is, in my opinion, one of the best aspects of the hobby...RTR is great for a quick fix but people miss so much of the RC experience when they just want to open a box, put batteries in it, and go). I wish that more manufacturers would offer kit versions. Good kits are hard too find. Tamiya was the only company that still makes a good kit (performance, not so much without a lot of mods, but still really fun to build, great directions/diagrams, and decent quality parts). Bashing around with the Xmaxx is fun (love the comment about the Xmaxx and the girl in high school...lol in the other video) but building a "life-like" scale model that actually works is what RC is all about (my opinion). I just purchased an Axial SCX10v2 kit (Jeep Cherokee body) and I look forward to building it. Painting has always been my weakest skill and you have been kind enough to show everyone how to paint and at least give us a chance at not making an RC terd...lol. Thanks man! Cheers, Jeff (Garage Maker Guy)….If I am ever in Missouri again, I will definitely hit up "O'Malley's".
Another great job. I have been using PS55 on the outside of the windows instead of smoke on the inside, it works well an you can vary how opaque you want it.
Nice work. I need to work on my patience when painting bodies. I get so excited to finish it up that I rush and make mistakes. Keep making these videos. Awesome work.
Awesom job. Both the paint job and the video production. I enjoyed watching from start to finish. Exceptionally great music too. I will check that out. Thumps up.
I don't know.... The first thought i got when you displayed the finished body was " Mother-f'er!, how the F did you come up with that!?". It's like watching Bob Ross, you think you know whats comming and how to do it and half way in the video you feel like flipping the computor screen over, slam the door and go out and cut down a tree in rage or something.... Damn you Chris!, stop making us feelbadman like this!. So in conclution....good effin work...hats of and all that jazz....
Kick Ass, I have been to that place several times. I wished I had knew you were coming to Castle when I saw that video, I'm only a short time away and would have enjoyed meeting you. Excellent paint job, did a great deal of justice to the place.
This came out phenomenal! Thank you for always adding in advice and tips. I have trouble with the smoke/ tint on the windows it always seem to not look correct. It either runs a bit ( I know too heavy ) or I will get spotting.
very cool effect you've achieved there buddy. yet another awesomely creative yet devilishly simple paint job. looks like axial have a huge hit on there hands with this RC!
Hello ,Chris as always I thank you for more of your great ideas and tricks to keep it real.i painted mine metallic green and black, but used the rubber bed liner spray to give it a different look and feel, It has worked out well on the beds of hard bodys, Keep up the great videos and the unboxing, Next time you are on the east coast look me up and let me show you around Solomons Island Maryland, You will be back. Take care brother.
Nice paint job! Before you go out and buy the proline interior take note that that interior is specifically made for the proline cherokee which is significantly smaller in scale than the axial Cherokee. Best of luck to you!
another great video Chris been waiting to see this one !! always a pleasure to watch you work . Still looking forward to chatting again too !!! till next time :)
just awwsom paint... love it like the trick with the water.. but do a video of how the clerance is with the new scx102.. .. and compear them.. :) and sory about bad english..
Perfect english, no worries. The version 2 has way more clearance, I would need to set them up similar with the wheels to show it but the reduced pumpkin size is a great feature.
Hey Chris just wanna say luv your videos especially your painting ones, you have mad skills. Im working on a body for a buddy which is beer related, any advice or specific color you recommend?? Thanks, cheers
Damn Chris, you have such ninja skills with a knife to cut those lines and letters so damn straight. Superb job! I have a Blazer body to do soon, so thanks for the inspiration and reminding me to order up some liquid mask :D
HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more I may actually do a video on it, although I doubt it will come out anywhere near as neatly as yours lol.
sorry man, you underestimate the work you did on the rear lights, in my opinion they are wonderful. Could you give me some suggestions to get the same result. Thank you
HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more Oke, cool. Mooie omgeving daar dan. Ben 1 keer in Noorwegen geweest maar wist niet dat het zo mooi was daar. Succes verder met je channel!
i'm really REALLY interested in how you worked the tail lights. i hate decals too. i love the rig, but honestly the tail lights decals have it look cheap. i've searched for bucket tail lights but can't find anything. any suggestions? thank you.
You can make some out of styrene or keep an eye out for companies like Knights Customs who will most likely come out with a printed version. In making them in paint, just save them for last and keep some opacity when you paint them up.
+HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more Ok. Two of Mine werde completely out of function. especially the lower Schock caps are crap. The are Made of such Light Plastik that the snap very easily. Thx for the replys though. peace
Chris,
Your patience in painting your vehicles never ceases to amaze me.
And, no champagne in this one for a change, haha!
A shocker, for sure.

Wow! You are an artist. Possibly a surgeon, with those steady hands. Beautiful work.
Too bad I can't stand the sight of blood or I would have had a great career option there, haha! Thank you for the kind words, Paul.
It's great to watch an artist at work !
That is very kind of you, glad you enjoyed it!
This has got to be my favorite Hemi-video, very cool man! I appreciate you showing the de-masking technique and fade painting!
I'm glad you see that this one was quite special to me too!
"I really enjoy drinking" Love this guy, he has brune some good vids.
Haha, thanks Marc! And I think we all enjoy a nice cold beer.
It's nice to see The Master at work! Great work as always and your videos rocks!
You are very kind!
Another great job. I have been using PS55 on the outside of the windows instead of smoke on the inside, it works well an you can vary how opaque you want it.
That is a good idea!
you make it look so easy. You are the Picasso of rattle cans . always great work
That is a very nice comment, thank you. :)
Awesome paintjob again Chris! Well done!
Thank you!
Maaaan..., now, I wish I would have the patience to do like this! Very Cool Cherokee!!!
Thank you so much! Was a very detailed one to paint, this one.
This is one your more detailed bodies thats for sure ...awesome job man
Indeed, this one took quite a bit of time.
Nice work. I need to work on my patience when painting bodies. I get so excited to finish it up that I rush and make mistakes. Keep making these videos. Awesome work.
Taking your time is the key, if you feel like you are going to rush just step away for a moment. Good luck and have fun.
Awesom job. Both the paint job and the video production. I enjoyed watching from start to finish. Exceptionally great music too. I will check that out. Thumps up.
It always makes me smile when people notice the time it takes to shoot and edit, thank you!

I laughed when reading this, thanks a million man!
Kick Ass, I have been to that place several times. I wished I had knew you were coming to Castle when I saw that video, I'm only a short time away and would have enjoyed meeting you.
Excellent paint job, did a great deal of justice to the place.
It is an amazing place for sure. Keep an eye out in the weeks ahead, if you follow me on FaceBook you may see me pop up in the Kansas area again. ;)
Wicked work with the water!!
Thank you! Water is a simple, but very effective masking trick.
This came out phenomenal! Thank you for always adding in advice and tips. I have trouble with the smoke/ tint on the windows it always seem to not look correct. It either runs a bit ( I know too heavy ) or I will get spotting.
Smoke is indeed the hardest colour to shoot. I rather spray it too thin than too thick, as it run easily.
Love your vids man and youre the sole reason i got into starting to paint rc bodys again after 12years sunce i did it last, keep it up👍👍👍
I hope you are having fun, Jonny!
very cool effect you've achieved there buddy. yet another awesomely creative yet devilishly simple paint job. looks like axial have a huge hit on there hands with this RC!
They sure do, I love everything they changed over the previous version.
That is an amazing paint job, I especially love the foam. Awesome as usual!
The foam was a challenge for sure!
body came out awesome. great job again Chris.
Thank you, always nice to see you comment!
and youll see one on every vid. lol.

Hey Chris, hope you do . thanks for getting back to me.And I can't wait to see what's up next .
When i did my scx10.2 body i put some armor guard on the fenders and along the bottom on the outside and it turned out pretty decent.

Tx 😊 maybe by a v2 scx10
That's sweet Chris. I love how you made it look like bubbles in beer and foam. Very ingenious. Did your Dad teach you how to paint?
My dad taught me pretty much everything I know. He is an awesome guy, very skilled. :)
Hey Chris just wanna say luv your videos especially your painting ones, you have mad skills.
Im working on a body for a buddy which is beer related, any advice or specific color you recommend??
Thanks, cheers
The orange, yellow, white and silver are pretty crucial. Apart from that, just try and have fun with it!
Damn Chris, you have such ninja skills with a knife to cut those lines and letters so damn straight.
Superb job!
I have a Blazer body to do soon, so thanks for the inspiration and reminding me to order up some liquid mask :D
Let me know how it turns out!
HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more I may actually do a video on it, although I doubt it will come out anywhere near as neatly as yours lol.
Damn! Imo the best body so far. One thing i dislike are those straight black lines going back from fenders. But still, looks sick! Good job!
Glad you like it for most part. ;)
Those lines are clean..what was the music? I really like the editing and camera work. Mad props
Thank you for noticing the edit and camera shots. The music is by The Goddamn Gallows, more info in the video description.
sorry man, you underestimate the work you did on the rear lights, in my opinion they are wonderful. Could you give me some suggestions to get the same result. Thank you
Brilliant as usual, you are a true artist. Btw where do you get your caps ( hats) from dude, I love them?
The ones I have now come from RTR, that's the company that built the Hoonicorn Mustang for Ken Block.
i dont suppose you have a link to them by any chance dude? ... not a biggie if you dont.
Hell of a job.
Cheers Rod!
looks great, i just dont understand those black panels behind fenders
Those are a matter of taste.
Your music choice maaan!
btw the paint turns out pretty great.
Thank you, Steve!
Nice job as always to cool
Thank you, David
I Totally agree with your Micro Brewery Comment.
Is there any chance you could stop making me feel inferior with my painting skills! HAHAHAHA! Amazing as always Chris.
Haha, I'm sure you are doing one hell of a job. Thank you for the kind words.
Dam that's badass dude
Thank you, seems like you may be from around Weston!
How about the tailights? The color red and orange was paint or a sticker from the kit?
Great video btw. Im inspired by all of your works. Great skills and very creative. Hope to see another another painting videos.
Hi there, no stickers used, everything is painted.
Wow! Really creative and original work. Are you Dutch by chance because your accent sounds a bit Dutch?
Very much born and raised near Amsterdam indeed!

Hey Hemistorm how do u like the stock Shocks from SCX10 II?I have abandoned mine ASAP. MFG Timo
If you make sure the pistons are demurred properly, they are ok. I had one that I needed to take apart though, so I know where you are coming from.
+HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more
Ok. Two of Mine werde completely out of function. especially the lower Schock caps are crap. The are Made of such Light Plastik that the snap very easily. Thx for the replys though.

Hi there, just horizontally flip them in your imaging software.
the white orange and yellow are candy corn colors.... not sure if you get candy corn.. it comes out now and it's for halloween...
