Hey Bob! Thanks a bunch, my friend! Sometimes less is more, and this body didn't need much to represent the era and the look that I was going for. Thank you for the tremendous support!
That is very cool to read, Steve! Here in Norway there is a true cult of American Classic cars, it has inspired me to do this build. It's great to see people cherish the raw powered cars from decades ago, and get together to talk about them.
Hi cml1980! Very cool of you to drop by once more, I'm very glad to see you following the entire build. The light I use is a builders lamp with 4 large fluorescent bulbes, or pipes in it. They can be found at any large supplies store, are pricey (100 bucks or so) but well worth the money. I even use it to light up the scene when filming in my Ghetto studio. ;)
You would be amazed what you can achieve by just keeping track of stuff and trying to raise the bar for yourself. When I started, I was intimidated by what paintjobs I came across, but after trying, training and trying some more, you can do whatever you set your mind to. Just give it a go!
There are so many awesome painters out there, I am amazed by the work I come across at times! It's very kind of you to say that though, and I'm absolutely flattered by it. :)
You are very kind, dmlzona! I love pinstriping, it's something I started to try a few years back, with my father in law having a Harley and a few very "persuasive" friends. I was afraid they would "off" me, Sons of Anarchy style, if I didn't learn it fast enough, so I got the basics down quite quick. ;)
Hey bunznmepockets! I have thought of throwing in a real one, but wanted to keep the build budgetfriendly and relatively easy to tune up. The engine I dropped in this one (video coming up soon) actually produces more hp than a scale v8 makes. Stay tuned to see the rears smoke!
Looks fantastic ! I love how you refer to this as a simple paint scheme. Only in comparison to others you have done. Your the rattle can Master for Sure !!
That is the best feedback so far, Steve! I'll for sure smoke those rears, finally got the powerhouse in so the next video will be about adding some serious horsepower to this ride.
serious, serious talent man. not only are your paint jobs a work of art but your entire approach to your projects is amazing. you have a gift, thanks for sharing it.
Man that's a great looking car, my intro to motorsport was drag racing and 30yrs on its still going strong and I've gotta say MAN you've nailed that one!
Wow. I'm always in awe of the amount of detail you put into all of your paint works. You said this one was not too detailed compared to some of your other ones but my jaw drops when seeing the finished product. Beautiful, just beautiful.
You most certainly can, Morgan! Thing is, without servos this thing is going nowhere. So help me hope the postal service speeds things up a bit so I can finally complete this build!
Man, That looks soooo friggin cool, Chris! I love it! Simple design but excellent results. You always get me inspired to paint, create and keep up with my RC. Thanks!
the lettering is better than any factory paint job i have ever seen. dude your are seriously THE BEST! awesome work man! love watching the vids. hope you win the awards show!
Absolutely stunning Chris! Everything so far is looking flawless. You have one amazing eye for color and lines. I show this video to all my hot rod friends they say you are THE MAN. Especially the Mopar guys. I still have one question where can I get a light table like you have or should I just make one from a fluorescent and some plexiglass? 4 thumbs up!! You rock!!
Awesome, Can't wait to see it finished up, with all the parts you are waiting for installed...& RUNNING, YEA BURNOUT - might need a beefier wheelie bar wheel w/all FG H.P.? To me this is your coolest builds yet, might be because I'm a Drag Racer but..looks really cool. I love the style you put to it, to me it just fits being a reproduced car from the better times in Drag Racing, (my favorite years are late 1950's, and early to mid 60's), but this is a very close second...smoke them tires friend!
Awesome paint job. May be simple to u but that looks difficult to me. Awesome work u got skills. Wish u would have went into more detail on how u did those lines n paint. Nice work!
In total awe of this awesome work... if i ever achieve a result thats 20% as good as your work i will be totally happy with my efforts ! I'm looking at a new body for my Traxxas Raptor and am thinking about a Captain America / Avengers theme but i'll be using (hopefully) some printed artwork and XXXMain glue to stick them to the body before painting, would appreciate any advise or comments you might have.
Hey Bob! Thanks a bunch, my friend! Sometimes less is more, and this body didn't need much to represent the era and the look that I was going for. Thank you for the tremendous support!
One of my favorite car chase movies for sure! Kowalski is an absolute BOSS!
I'm glad to read that you like it, cool of you to stop by again! :)

That is very kind of you! Sometimes less is more, is what I thought when painting this up.
Very pleased to hear you approve! I thought it would be nice to blend the two styles, I'm happy with the way it turned out. :)

Hey Herb, stay tuned for the rest! All pieces are coming in and being put together slowly but surely.

Thank you very much for dropping by!
Me too! Wish my electronics came in. Good news: just picked up the engine!

I'm happy to hear that, Jonny! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
I love that paint scheme- gunmetal make the blue&white just POP! And for a Dodge Hemi car, the name "Hemistorm" is pretty cool!
And you sir... are very kind!
David, glad you like it! Looking forward to your next project, keep me in the loop!
Glad you dig it, Mitch!
That is a great idea for a future project!
serious, serious talent man. not only are your paint jobs a work of art but your entire approach to your projects is amazing. you have a gift, thanks for sharing it.
Hi Nigel, just give full paint a try. It is so much easier than it seems, just take your time and keep track of what you are doing.

I can only hope that when I get to paint my first body it turns out half as AMAZING your cars do!! Beautiful!
Hey Qmaximus! Thanks a bunch, buddy! In hindsight I'm very happy I didn't use the original colors, since it would have been too dark for my liking.
You most certainly can, Morgan! Thing is, without servos this thing is going nowhere. So help me hope the postal service speeds things up a bit so I can finally complete this build!
Thank you!
I can't believe how much work and detail !!! Great work !
I have chosen a real fortunate business name for sure, in this case!
