Hi Brad, not unlimited budget by any stretch, the supercharger was a bit of an extravagance I realise that, going with "you only live once", or at least thats the excuse I'm using on this occasion. I priced getting the gearbox overhauled / repaired if they or I could get the parts, on investigation a lot of the internal parts are made out of unobtanium, in the end it was getting pretty close to the price of the conversion, at least with the conversion I'm (sort of) guaranteed a good outcome. With the repair / overhaul there were no guarantees coming with that. Thanks I needed to have a bit of a chuckle, you did it
Personally, I have been using the Ignition 123 distributor with great success, I've gone with the non-programable one I just didn't want to get into all that "stuff", simple person, simple needs, as long as it works I'm fine..

Won't fit on the Mini Steve although I think the same company does do something like this for the Mini, go on spoil yourself.............. I did.
Since you are on an unlimited budget… yes, the MX5 gearbox conversion is very very nice.
