I’ll put on my Santa hat to talk about this Grinch who was once evil, hello I’m Isaac from Wotso Videos where we discuss fun topics for fun people! To spread a little magic this season in my dormitory, let’s discuss the Grinch’s full story.

The Grinch was a person sour and green who sat on his mountain angry and mean. He looked down on Who’s who sang, played and laughed but the truth was his life was filled with problems as large as an aircraft! Now you may have heard his story, he’s famous after all, but you may not have heard how he dealt with this big emotional wall. We’ll figure out today why the Grinch sat with his dog all alone then discover how he left with cheer and accomplished this big milestone.

I always felt bad for the Grinch. After seeing his movie. The way people treated him but I'm happy he got a happy ending.

He's still not nearly as tragic as Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Even though I wasn't ok with the Grinch's actions, I did feel sorry for him. It's really tough, hard and lonely to live in a place where you feel alone, isolated and no one understands you.
I completely agree with that notion, Ryan. The actions are still bad even though we know why they were made.
Yeah, the Grinch believed that if he stole all of the Whos gifts then they would be miserable just like him but only after learning that Christmas didn't come in a store he was able to let go of the hate he had in his heart for so many years. The Grinch was an outsider of WhoVille given how he was so different from everyone else and unable to be accepted he ran away from home to live alone while slowly descending into madness and being a jerk to the Whos for the fun of it.
I actually did my research on what the Grinch is and I found that he is a different type of Who. His features resemble that of a Who very clearly if you look closely. I think being different from all the other Whos didn't help him with feeling isolated either.

@@Anonymousdeletedaccount...umm your either bullshiting or wrong becuz the 2000s jim carry movie has him float in from the sky with no origin story claiming he was a "what" to the Whos, so if he was a "mountain who" why wouldnt they site that and most of all why is he the only one of this kind that we know of. In one of the original books the grinch is described as a "unknown creature" who grew up in Whoville, exactly where my point comes from.

1. Who is the evil (horned) king in The Black Cauldron? 2. Why did the islands on Moana get infected by that black blight? 3. Were Jack Frost's memories taken away on purpose? (Rise of the Guardians - how do we know if he remembered that he wouldn't end up like Pitch?)

In the movie it didn't help the mayor bullied him when he was a kid, then when the Grinch came back the mayor denied doing anything and bullies him again. Honestly that can cause anyone to be "evil" and I use quotations loosely.

I just watched the Jim Carrey Grinch not too long ago and I actually came up with a theory that Cindy Lou Who planned on the Grinch stealing Christmas in order to teach Whoville a lesson
You know what? That makes sense to me. In that movie the whos were being too materialistic. They would've excluded the Grinch from their town party had Cindy Lou not spoke up and insisted that the Grinch get the cheermyster award.

Say what you want about the Ron Howard movie, people, I liked it. Isaac, I'm surprised you didn't talk about Cindy Lou in the live action movie. Other than being adorable beyond words, I like to think her sweet personality, her innocence, and her pure heart had an effect on the Grinch. She cared about him when everyone else pretty much treated him with indifference.
I think in that version she was important to get the Grinch to steal Christmas, but I think he went on his transformation on his own. I think I would like to focus on Cindy Lou Who in her own video completely if I was going to go that route.

I loved your Suess-style rhyming intro & summary! 😂😂 I think the very different looks shows the Grinch is a different species than the Whos, but Suess never gave them a name. He did create many kinds of people & creatures in his books, & I always loved how Whoville exists on a world that's in a speck of dust inside a world where animals talk to each other & when an elephant sits on a bird egg it makes a bird/elephant hybrid. Horton Hears a Who was always one of my favorite Suess stories.
I've actually always thought the Grinch was a Grouch, like Oscar from Sesame Street.

I personally like the 2018 adaptation, it's just less cringey and crazy. It is also much 'smoother' and 'neater'. It's bright, vibrant, and relatable. But to each their own.

The original grinch will always be my favorite version it was my grandpas favorite Christmas movie and I (as well as my family and everyone he met) was very close to my grandpa before he died so its special to me and my family
Probably so that the Grinch would be more sympathetic. I loved the part where he had tricked the mayor into kissing the dog's butt! That proves just who that mayor is. A butt kisser!

Glad you liked the video and the rhymes, Caitlin! The reason I didn't include Cindy Lou Who was because I didn't think she made a huge impact in the Grinch's main story. He went through his growth independently of her.

You know that strange wind is a reference to the sour west wind in Halloween is Grinch night, Dr. Suess's favorite of the two
What if there were 3 wrong winds. One was in the 1970s. It was caused by garbage pollution. Then one happened in 2000. It was caused by an oil spill. Then one in 2018, caused by car gases
were all holidays as obvious to each other as Halloween . and if they have that witches brewal to see into the real world how come they never heard of Christmas.

Issac, my boy, YOU ARE CORRECT!!! In the 2000 film How the Grinch stole Christmas, Cindy Lou's father, Lou, told his daughter that the Grinch isn't a Who. Cindy asks what he is, and Lou confirms that the Grinch is just that, a What.

There's a Halloween special for the Grinch, called "Halloween is Grinch Night". (Just realized you mentioned it.) In the live action version, the Grinch had a tube that gave him unwanted gifts, so I believe that maybe Max is one of those unwanted gifts.
How did the Grinch meet max
(Be ready for tissues) some think due to the 2002 movie, How the grinch remarks all the whos gifts eventually go to him cause they're thrown away. So Max might have been a puppy given as a gift then thrown away when he wasn't wanted anymore. Hence, why Max is so loyal despite the Grinch being who he is. Im personaly on the fence with it. Cause you dont really see animals in that world. You dont see dogs other than max.

Thank you for posting this! I'm even glad you included a backstory for Max the dog. I know in the 1966 cartoon Max's origin was never explained. However in the 2000 movie the Grinch made a comment about how wasteful the whos were. He gets all their trash by the way. So until you mentioned a book about Max I just assumed that some Who child got him as a Christmas present then got tired of him quickly. Then poor Max was rescued from the Grinch when he got dumped.
I actually agree with you when you said that the sour-sweet winds from Grinch Night is the same wind that brought the Grinch into Whoville.
