I thought that production of the LCS class had already come to an end, so this was interesting to see. I served on Nimitz class carriers back in the day, so I know how the Newport News Shipyard conducted such operations, making this process quite unique.
I’m a naval architect in Canada. We have been using a similar method to dry dock VICTORIA class submarines in BC for over 15 years where we transfer the submarine directly from the land to the floating dry dock. And Damien shipyards in the Netherlands launches new builds this way as well. Ergo it’s a little odd for Austal in the USA to claim this type of launching is unique to them.
I think the America is still scraping them but is still building them to keep jobs. I would have said tuff shit and lost those job, its the company fault.
America is still scraping them, there still being built because America wants to keep the job. I would have stop building them, its costing American's more money.

Such an interesting design for the US Navy, really cool looking.
Old and useless why are we still building these.
Next step, move the dry dock in front of the assembly hall, and skip the barge.
Strange ship, but amazing 👏
Bring on the constellation class ships
Looks like Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding Company to me.
thought they had given up on these ship designs and already scrapped similar ones

America is still scraping them, they're building them to keep the jobs which to me is just sad.
I keep trying to say why the America is still building them but comments keep getting deleted.
Your Videographer editor needs to do a better job of showing how the ship launches rather than keep giving us overheads.
